Tri Rail, Train ride from Miami International Airport to Fort Lauderdale International Airport FLL

- This is a how to video on traveling Miami International Airport (MIA) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) using Tri Rail. Tri Rail is a commuter train (or long distance train) that travels between three counties: Miami-Dade, Broward County and West Palm Beach.
I've started at MIA Airport at 10:39 a.m. and arrived at FLL Airport at 12:44 p.m. (2 hours and 5 minutes of travel time). This also include the Tri Rail train breaking down at Metrorail Transfer Station (24:35). Thankfully, twenty minutes later, Tri Rail sent a backup train to pick us up (26:25). The cost of this trip was $5 (during the weekdays, non-holidays, it is $3.75).
I highly recommend taking this train if you have more than 4 hours of flight transfer/connection. DO NOT take this train if you're at a tight connection.

Fort Lauderdale Airport Station and Shuttle Bus (video at 52:40):
Tri Rail Shuttle Bus stops at all Fort Lauderdale International Airport Terminals. The shuttle bus does have a luggage/baggage rack to store. In addition, the shuttle bus arrives every 15-20 minutes. Palm Beach International Airport (PBI Airport):
Tri Rail does not have a shuttle bus to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). However, Tri Rail does offer a $15 voucher to travel between Palm Beach International Airport and West Palm Beach Station using Uber. If you're coming from FLL Airport and heading towards PBI Airport, please board the northbound train (or track 2). The northbound train journey between Fort Lauderdale Airport station and West Palm Beach Station should be around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The fare would cost $ or $5.00 on the weekend/holiday.

Brightline Florida:
Yes, you can take Brightline from FLL Airport. Tri Rail Shuttle Bus and Brightline Circuit Shuttle bus shares the same bus stop at FLL Airport. However, if using Brightline, it is recommended to purchase the train tickets in advance.

What's up, man! Yikes! I'm glad that the problem was solved quickly! I hope that it doesn't happen again because you can easily miss your flight if it was that long! BTW, the Tri-Rail Shuttle Bus was a retired fleet from MVTA (Minnesota Valley Transit Authority) and is operated by America's Transportation! Happy Chinese New Year!
Yup. Anything can happen on Tri Rail (train brakes down, delays, or other unexpected incidents). The trip was good and economical, but not recommended if transferring to a tight connections. If tight connections, taxi or other ride share services (like Uber or Lyft) is strongly recommended.
