Hey there guys! I want to thank all of you for checking out this video! I really appreciate all of you awesome people who come out and visit my channel and my videos. I really appreciate all of you who dont instant dislike too, its really dumb when you do that (you know who you are) HA. see you in the next one! ;)
Haha no those are hung up in my editing room. I considered making them apart of the studio but they are super loud haha. It would get annoying after a while. I like the lights I got tho because I can change the colors when I get sick of the 2 I got up there haha
Exactly followed brings great results. I enjoy using it in the barbershop. Works nice for those that have waves. Great review. I can tell how much you love the Lockhart family through your review. We love him to that’s why we support him and want whatever Steve and the fam. touches to turn to gold. It is a great product but not user friendly but in the hands of a Master Barber 😁 as myself I have no issues 🙏.
It just didn’t work with damp hair I have thick curly hair. So I used on 2nd days hair the ruezel blue tonic on un washed hair. Then applied the goon grease. Worked like a charm. I think the blue tonic re organized the hair. But didn’t make it to wet. The grease just slid right over.
Modern Man TV I think the Dracula pomade rains supreme as the best water based. It almost seems like an oil based pomade. Your reviews influenced me to try a lot of products you reviewed. Dracula, ruezel, never more, phantasm etc... I purchased because of your reviews. I was lucky enough to buy your whole product line when it was first released. The pomade and wax are great. The paste doesn’t work as well for me. I have to say in terms of value it’s one of the best in the business, price to volume of product. Will there be any more nevermore released? I bought the last one from lock harts, but it wasn’t scented the same as the original one I purchased. The original scent was so good I could spread it on toast and eat it.
Wow thanks so much man for all the support and for trying everything that’s freaking incredible! And for Nevermore, the scent hasn’t ever changed so it’s hard to really tell if you got one that you feel might be scented different cuz we really LOVE that scent. I don’t actually know when it’s going to be back in stock but I talked to Steve this week and he said he’s working on getting more fragrance so he can make more nevermore.
Yes it’s a water rinse like I mentioned at the end of the vid and I don’t see it being a problem at all for thin hair. It’s lightweight so it shouldn’t overpower thin hair.
I used the oil based like every day from like 2016-2020 and it worked great but ima give this water based one a try since I dont need such a good hold anymore, i hope the flaking is fixed by now
Modern Man TV and i can list my shitty honda civic as a brand new car with a supercharged turbo, even though its a piece of shit that has fading paint and performs terribly. but its not a heavy hold and isnt high shine so 🤷♀️
The hold probably isn’t heavy your right there but I would say the shine is there. I am also taking into consideration that they said they were revising it to fix the flaking so I am waiting to see how that affects things. Not quite the same since you can’t reformulate a shitty Honda 😆
@@MMTV I believe he's talking about the "Goon Grease for President" pomade (you'll find it on the Lockharts website). It's petrolatum-based, but contains ingredients commonly found in water based in order to make it wash out more easily. I own it and I actually get excellent results with it. I'm surprised it's not more popular. I wouldn't say that it's completely easy to wash out of your hair; but rather easiER than original Goon Grease. i.e. "EZ-ER Wash" would have been a better name for it than "EZ wash." 😉
Seems like pomades are tough to nail down? I've had mixed results from different brands... Dauntless is the first one that really worked well for me. The other I won't mention the brand but it smells like old toothpaste, falls apart after a few hours, admittedly it gave great volume but the application and styling is tough. This is on my radar to check out and see how it goes😁
My hair is pretty thick but it's a bit thin at the corners (Thankfully my hairline is decent haha). This pomade works pretty well since it holds it and the center and even if it falls a bit at the corners i can easily restyle it.
i got one of the first test batchs that got sent out with the release of the hermit matte clay, it had flaking it both dry and damp hair, really badly as well
Roland Jacobs nope, ive never really seen or heard of many “gel types” flaking, most issues you deal with gel types even homebrewed ones is hardening and the shine going matte really quick.

I like the new background lights. It looks like two lightsabers behind you. Is that what you're using the lightsaber for?

I have wavy thinning hair. I will consider it but A clay or hybrid product would likley be better. Still want to try it.
Hello!! I really like this video I'm new to your channel 🔥🔥💯
Welcome!
Oil based goon is godlike to me
loveeeeeee it

Yeah that’s kinda what I was trying to convey here is that you have to get it just right or you run that risk of not getting performance.

Thanks for your honesty!
Thank you for not instant disliking haha! I appreciate it man 💪
Question: is it an easy wash out and do you recommend for fine/thin hair? Good video man 👍

Love this new set up, Mike.
Thanks bro! I’ll use it until I get bored again haha!
Hey Mike, will you review the Flagship Gel-Type pomade that’s been out since last year?
Hey Mike great in depth review as always , can you please do a review on Da Dude Da wax? keep up the great work
I will add it to my list! I cant give you a time frame on when I can get to it as my list is super packed right now but I will add it.
thank you
Can you review moroccan oil texture clay?
Is it safe for men’s hair replacements since it contains beeswax? Thank you
I used the oil based like every day from like 2016-2020 and it worked great but ima give this water based one a try since I dont need such a good hold anymore, i hope the flaking is fixed by now
I think that issue was resolved almost immediately after it was discovered. Let me know how you like it!
Ive also gone through 5 cans of the oil based so im hoping its a little similar but lighter in the hair
Any update?
@@lancer717i dont remember why but i ended up giving it away, ive been using the Enigma since though
Are you getting your hands on the new Reuzel matte paste soon?
I don’t have any plans for that right now. I haven’t been too impressed with reuzel lately.
Awesome!👍🏻
this one had Potential, why did they make a waterbased version of goon grease but not make high hold or high shine? makes no sense
Well it is listed as heavy hold and high shine on their site with the same exact info as the oil based goon.

I'm insulted this video didn't have a pre-roll full video ad.
A whaat?
@@MMTV the video started instantly. I was in the middle of opening a bag of Doritos thinking I had 15 seconds of ads to watch at least. But nope.
Have you try the ez wash version of goon?
Cong Ta maybe? Which one was that?

Wayne sounds interesting. I might Schuld try it out!
Can you review bandido hair wax

Mike is fans spotlight still on the go. I would like to send picture to u. Can u tell me how to send it to u
We haven’t been doing it for a while now, people stopped watching it and submitting photos. Maybe one day we will bring it back.
Personally I would call this a Hyper-orthodox pomade 😆
Looks kinda like hdf modified pomade
Man you never made a vidio on conditioning creams light hold product
So none of the testers experienced flaking?? 🤔
I wasnt told any info on the testers. I wasnt a tester for this final formula that became the product so I dont know about that.

@@jacobevans4572 is this common with this style of pomade?
I don’t think it’s common. I know you didn’t ask me but I don’t see it very often.
