Suavecito was the first real quality product I've ever used. I used the OG version. It did make my hair feel heavier but I liked that OG feel. It felt like what I think a proper gentleman's hair product might have been used back in the day. I'd recommend it to anyone new to hair products.
I tried it when it first came out, as I recall though the barber added an upsell price. Now that I found out they sell it on Amazon I ordered 2 of the firme hold. Stuff works great, as a substitute to the oil based or wax based product which requires a shower or it causes breakouts on your scalp.
So if you don’t shower with it it will have an effect on scalp ? I had a gel I slept over night I guess it started drying my scalp bc without it it was gone
Suavecito firm hold has been my go to for the last 5 years. Has the best hold lasts a day and you can run a comb through it if you need to touch it up.
Rudy Hernandez that I’m not sure of Rudy as I’ve never used the original. But I’d say this one is more of a matte to medium shine depending if you put it in your hair while wet or dry
I just started using the pomade firm recently and honestly, it's one of the best products I've used for my thick asian hair. The price and the 4oz is the biggest seller for me
What do you think of it? I'm more of a Clay or a paste guy so might try this as my first pomade. How does your hair feel after application? Does it look wet or ?
So about 4 months ago i decided to venture out into the hair product world and try a bunch of different pomades and clays suggested from youtube channels like this and others. Honestly i felt like i wasted hundreds of dollars bc every product i tried didnt work for my hair and i ended up only using them once or twice. I have used suavecito forever and their Clay imo is the best i have tried. The oil/waxy content is just what i need to keep my frizzy hair in check and it definitely is matte in my hair. Everyone just has to try things out for themselves. Ive realized that all of suavecitos products are the best for my hair. Good video!
I bought some couple weeks ago after my hair wax I used for years was discontinued. I was skeptical about well it would work after not using any other hair products for years. I was really impressed. I'm sold and hopefully these products last a very long time.
So ive been looking to get into using pomade for my hair, i'm just finishing up a Pinaud Clubman hair gel ive had, and Suavecito is definitely a brand I see a lot. Hell my HEB carries it so that's cool. Anyway, this is a great review showing how there is a difference between the strong and regular, how much to use, AND, something i don't see in reviews that often, you showed how it looks and works after an hour or so! I don't see that too often in reviews so i very much appreciate that, since I'd want this to last all day (the gel I use seems to soften and almost leave my hair as the day goes.) Much thanks, great review!
Same!! I use Baxter for days when I need to be more presentable and as close to perfectly consistent as possible...but for my every day use...I always use suavecito. It works really well and makes my college student budget very happy!
@@redwhiteblue5135 I use Suavecito original hold pomade. It might not be as strong a hold as the firme; but it doesn't stiffen up as much, and is easier to recomb when you need to.
Started using Suavecito about 4 years ago when it showed up at Cliff's Barber Shop in Las Vegas. It was my first foray into pomade from gel. I became an instant fan, from the pricing, the logo, and the product. My personal favorites are their seasonal scents, particularly Warm Clove (winter) and Dark Rum. They also make decent shaving stuff as well. I like their menthol vanishing creme and Bay rum aftershave. Not a big fan of their cream based shave butter though, I prefer to have volume in my shave cream.
@Cosmos ! i use suavecito oil based lmao ive used the water too but i prefer the oil one i was just saying thag old spice isnt bad suavecito is my main tho
You should've talked about the smell, I feel like the smell plays a huge role especially because you cant get that smell on any other pomade it's so fresh and crisp.
I found your channel yesterday googling hair styles for men for my sons they have thick hair i look at the products and searched what was near me I could get right now I bought the firme clay and the strong hold pomade I used a little of both on my youngest son who has two cowlicks so it’s difficult to fix but these products are the bomb it held where I needed it to it lasted all day but you have to use both of these and only a little bit goes along way too you saved our wedding pictures today thank you..
I've used both the original and firme hold. I recently tried their wax pomade and actually like it better compared to their water based product. Again, personal preference.
It will work on either style. It's a matter of working it through your hair for a longer time to achieve a finished style as compared to a slicked back style which is generally worked through for less time. All the products dry quickly. But the clay and matte surprisingly are slower than the original and firme pomade. Overall a great product.
Suavecito hair can only be restyles when it’s been introduced to more moisture. However if you get suavecito oil based you’ll find that you can rework your hair all day long. And applying the oil based suavecito into dry hair is what will give it the best hold
It’s an OG in the game!! Suavecito is affordable, scent smells bomb af & the performance is great what more can you ask for man. I’ll always ride with this stuff.
My favorite brand of pomade. I love all the different scents the come in. All time favorite is Felix the cat. Just bought for myself some of the dark rum
I used to use savecito when I had a classic side part haircut but was a huge hassle to get it to work. If you put too much you had to wet it, if you wet it too much you had to blow dry it. I spent 30-45 mins just trying to do my hair.
I style my hair every second day. Bought Firme Clay about 2 years ago and it is running out just about now. I don't know other Suavecitos products, but the one works absolutely amazing for my hair.
Just brought your original its so amazing! It was my dream for a long time to own it I have your haircut and now my father brought it for me its amazing you and Alex Costa really help me out.
Suavecito (the firm hold) was the first product I used when I first grew out my hair. Been usin' it since. The only time I had an issue with it was when I'd run out. I used to style my hair with the oil based pomade and it worked good for a while but did not like the feeling of still Jane product in my hair after I've showered twice. The Firme hold water based pomade is definitely my best bet for last minuete hairstyles but me personally I've moved on to different products.
What i like about their products are i can use it, go to work (physical labor) and it stays and if i need to freshen up real quick i just add some water and it usually gets me through the day and then it washes out with ease. Ive had better pommades before, but they all were annoying to wash.
suavecito is the sheeet. the firme is way too much for me, i have thinner hair, so the regular is spot on. wet or dry hair, both respond great to this product. i use two pomades, suavecito, and o'douds. nice thing about suavecito, you can get it in little buckets. awesome stuff!!
Suavacito and Suavecita (their women's line) is also hugely popular among the Chicano/Chicana, greaser and pin-up communities. I use it everyday for my victory rolls.
The only thing about the firme hold pomade is that it leaves a really tacky/sticky feeling in you're hair. Idk if it's just me but that's the big thing I hate about that

Hey blumaan, quick question about your products: Does cavalier clay have heat protection and prestyling properties like your original styling product or not?
I use the OG. Love it. Love the smell the hold. Everything. Definitely depends on your hair type. My hair is finer than yours and straight. Super easy to manage. Just my 2 cents I guess
