As a child you can't see the logic. Being from Europe I didn't see the jrpg gameplay style as anything but action and puzzle was foreign to me. I wonder how many even finished it (who weren't Japanese and didn't program it).
The music composer indeed was a huge Dvorak fan, usin even the famous 1st Slavodance at the end (password screen?) And the other musics too seem to fit in XXDDD
When I was a little kid. I once discovered the sword. And defeat my first, but also my last monster. And somehow, in another run. I managed to get a bit stronger. I wonder how I would do now...with internet to explain things... Also, is it possible to kill all monsters??
