Then I remembered the time when we had to make a play about greek mithology and I thought our teacher didin't really understand how the relationships between the characters worked correctly so I re-wrote the entire play and that was the one we presented, so I guess it's pretty accurate.

In 10th grade, I was playing "connect the dots" with my desk partner. The teacher got made, sent me to the detention room... for the rest of the year. I scored 84% on the final exam, but ended up with 59% on my final score because, she said, I hadn't done any homework. I dropped school that year, waited 2 years, then completed my HS degree (2 years) at night school within 11 months with a average score of 94%.

High school felt like a waste of time to me. Main reason I stuck it out was to spend some time with my close friends. Probably slept or zoned out my way through most of it and still finished in the top 25% of my class. If I had actually done my homework and put effort into it I'd have been near the top.

As an INFP, yes I find myself knowing more than the teacher on subjects, but not because I'm smart. It's because I obsessed over one specific thing for months three years ago and have somehow retained all knowledge about that same subject. For example, we were discussing the myth of medusa in class, and the one she presented was completely wrong. I didn't say anything, but internally I was fuming because they made Medusa out to be the bad guy and completely butchered the story. I know so much about this topic bc I had a Percy Jackson phase in elementary-middle school and went on to research many greek myths and such, building my fortress of useless knowledge.
same, i was my english class' resident expert on historical pronunciation of poetry (ever noticed how itsy bitsy spider doesn't actually rhyme in contemporary english?) cus I like linguistics

This is exactly why I HATED my ancient history class. I love ancient history and reading mythology but the teacher would always present a different version of the story as if it was the only version and I couldn't take it so I always tuned her out. -INTP

I made a video with one of my classmate's head on the caramelldansen mv. I proceeded to make my teacher laughed loudly (she normally laughed softly). Her face was priceless. -ENFP
I made a video imitating all of my classmates and teachers during detention (I got detention twice for always being late and sometimes for pulling pranks) and it's still one of the most liked videos on FB from our HS days. My only over-arching achievement besides being class clown and annoying the hell out of my teachers. And probably my classmates who were just trying to focus/learn. Sorry to those classmates.

I had a speech last month and I literally decided on the topic and wrote (more like put down the most important points) the speech in the break before the lesson, which is 15 minutes long, even though the teacher had given us 3 weeks to prepare. I can't force myself to do my work on time, ever. :/

Actually, you guys are not rare. According to some tabs, you are either 8th or 9th most common, which means somewhere in the middle. INFJs are supposed to be rare, though.

Dude you srsly need to start working hard.(not to the point where you start to sleep at 1am) I was same as you and starting to known as the kid who sleeps trought the whole class and gets A+ (they were overexaggerating) and i started working hard and boom i just won the best highschool of my city.
Note: get some hobbies like playing an instrument, drawing or exercising, I'd recommend exercising 30mins~ a day. Hobbies are the flavor of your personalty, without them you feel normal but when you get some you feel like you reached the nirvana
I'm the INFP who’s too freaking stressed to argue with the teacher, but will have long conversations with them about it after class...
If I didnt pluck up the courage to face the teacher with my much better ideas, I probably had these long conversations with him/her to prove the superiority of my idea--inside my imagination :-)
INFP is so accurate for me, in high school I had to give a presentation about Crime and Punishment and what happened was that I made it unnecessarily long and detailed ksjhjsk. I even looked up on Google Maps where the buildings from the novel were irl... My teacher and classmates probably thought I was too invested, I wouldn't blame them if they did

I was into British Literature in high school. Back then several of my own poems were published. I'm infj. My most amazing experience was walking into a classroom during lunch when people were reading and discussing my poetry. They were reading Me and a teacher was saying I was up & coming and why I was good. I stood in amazement. Nobody knew who I was and I had wandered into the room by happenstance. When they finished I said thank you. The room turned around and I said, " Hi... I'm the author."

I was the bullied one I needed an ENFJ 😭 The part still resonated with me since I always worried about the new kid and that everyone felt included even tho I wasn't 😅. I did talk to everyone even tho everyone was in little groups. And I also had my own friends but they just never said anything about it. I think I was just surrounded by dickhead sensors because I was in a special sport high school 😝 and it doesn't help I was a perfectionist (tough on myself) and an HSP so the bullies just enjoyed my expressions and witty replies probably 😅. Also I am such an altruist that I never bullied back.. Probably why it kept going tho 🙈

Never studied - I despised school because of its sequential learning style for convergent-logic topics - but I got fair grades. I'm not sure if I was "popular" but I had virtually no enemies in high school or even 8th grade.
I'm ashamed to say that I did have a sort of repressed arrogance when it came to judging others as unintelligent. High schoolers go through hormones that make them a little slow on the draw, but I wouldn't call them dumb, nowadays at least. Truth is, everyone has their own knowledge and skill sets that can be useful in the right context. I would ask that you observe and listen, such that you may learn something yourself.

I am an INTJ, so this is very accurate. I specifically remember people challenging me to see if I could do essays the same day it was due. I would charge extra when they would pull stunts like this, however, secretly I found it oddly fun.

The INFP one is so true. Yes, I am an INFP and I always wanted everything to be presented correctly, whether it was scientific, mathematical, or artistic. I remember over the years, I had a huge book of biology that wasn't from the school, and I used to lend it to my science teachers since grade 6. I also did my best to change any play or artistic work slightly to make it better and more perfect. I'm in grade 11 now, and I'm thinking to bring that biology book back out again and review for next semester over the break.

As an ENFJ, I literally had these exact words in my head in high school. Along with a ton of fury about the injustices of social cliques!
as an INFP I was facing an enormous depression inside, by bottling it up with my eccentricity and terribly sarcastic humor. One day finally I got a chance to consult a "counselor" and guess what instead of counselling me, I gave this counselor life changing advises..........
just realized I'm my own therapist, and realized i'll end up alone......
internally *melancholic, idealistic, wisdom* laughing while tearing the hell out.....
As a INFP I understand you were misunderstood and it feels like nobody understands us. Life gets so overwhelming sometimes I just want to cry ot all out,but if I do I'm called sensitive or over dramatic, I hate it when everybody calls me so happy when on the inside I'm so sad. The sad thing is you will never be happy until your happy with yourself it's true knowing how it's like I understand that you are your own biggest critic and you always beat yourself up for dumb reasons. Try to understand your self and what you want even if it's something you cant have :(

It's not supposed to really teach you anything, because it's there to prepare you for passionless adult work and to make you a docile conformist. With that knowledge in mind, the school system is actually doing its job perfectly.

Im an INFJ but the INFP part hit too hard. We read this one book about this child who was neglected and the teacher put up an example for a theme. It was something like "Always be nice to people" and let me tell you, I went on a rant to my friends about how wrong she was and how her example was a very toxic way of thinking because there are people out there who don't deserve your kindness. Man I can feel the rage coming back to me

(ENFP) I never did afterschool, nor did I turn in one lick of homework, but still ended up with A's and B's. I was bored most of the time. I did get notes with "daydreaming too much", "talking too much", and "not paying attention to details. rushes through her work" on my class assignments.

As an INFP I was literally asleep in most of the classes. Most of us INFP probably passionately hate the machine-likeness of the schooling system. but I did do better in language arts class than in the other classes. Also, I liked science class especially when it was a movie day because I could choose to watch the movie about the "unconvenient truth" about how humans are messing up the planet with pollution and consumption OR sleep through it. and often I couldn't decide which one was better so I would just sleep. One time the teacher couldn't wake me up. I regret nothing 😈
Not really a sport guy in highschool but as an ESTP it's still so accurate to me 😭😭 like I just do fun stuff but also dedicate my life to it 💀, always telling people what things that makes me happy, and ofc I need money but I love donating money if I have to (kinda)

Lol, I'm an ENFP but maybe a not as extroverted one. I'm into drama, I can do public speaking pretty well, and I love side commenting on everything under the sun in class... but I'm not sure how good I am at being comedic! I'm more of a deep thinker, though I'm passionate about my emotions. I do get a billion new ideas a minute though, and the list of things I pursue only ever gets bigger, so who knows what high school will bring? (I'm a freshman btw)

Once my college economics lecturer said something about the meaning of lingua franca tho I don't remember what exactly (my brain refuses to) but it's so wrong like first of all that first part is literally 'lingua' which, even if you have never encountered basic latin, does sound pretty damn close to language, dontcha think?

So it would definitely have to do with languages. Just... I always want to faceplant when people don't use roots in words to figure out their basic meaning.

I'm in middle school, infp, and something I do that others don't is do some extra stuff, like for literature class I made a book this summer, for geography I draw whatever we learned about and some extra information and by the end I have something like a guide book, for art class I sometimes teach the teacher since he doesn't know anything about digital art what a boomer smh
