    Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia, located in the southwestern part of the country. It is the largest city in Malaysia, both in terms of population and area, and serves as the cultural, economic, and financial center of the country.
    Here are some key aspects of Kuala Lumpur:
    Multiculturalism: Kuala Lumpur is a melting pot of cultures, with a diverse population consisting of Malays, Chinese, Indians, and other ethnic groups. This diversity is reflected in the city's architecture, cuisine, and festivals.
    Landmarks: The city is home to iconic landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers, once the tallest buildings in the world, and the Kuala Lumpur Tower, which offers panoramic views of the cityscape. Other notable landmarks include the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Merdeka Square, and the Batu Caves.
    Cuisine: Kuala Lumpur is renowned for its diverse culinary scene, offering a wide range of Malaysian, Chinese, Indian, and Western cuisines. Visitors can explore bustling street food markets, upscale restaurants, and traditional eateries known as "mamak stalls."
    Shopping: The city is a shopper's paradise, with numerous shopping malls, markets, and boutiques catering to all tastes and budgets. Popular shopping destinations include Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Suria KLCC, and Central Market.
    Culture and Arts: Kuala Lumpur boasts a vibrant cultural scene, with numerous museums, galleries, theaters, and performance venues. Visitors can explore Malaysian history and culture at institutions such as the National Museum and Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, or enjoy live performances at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) and Istana Budaya.
    Transportation: Kuala Lumpur has a well-developed transportation infrastructure, including an extensive network of roads, highways, and public transportation systems. The city is served by buses, trains (including the LRT, MRT, and monorail), and taxis, making it easy for residents and tourists to navigate.
    Green Spaces: Despite being a bustling metropolis, Kuala Lumpur offers plenty of green spaces for relaxation and recreation. The city is home to parks such as KLCC Park, Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana), and Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, where visitors can escape the urban hustle and bustle.
    Overall, Kuala Lumpur offers a dynamic blend of modernity and tradition, making it a captivating destination for travelers from around the world.

    We were there in Jan + March + saw the Chinese new year displays in all the malls too.👌We took our 3 kids to the movies for only $20 cad 🤯. The science center on top floor is cool too. We never went to bungkus kawkaw but i loved the vietnemese in the suria food court and the curry mee 👌. I loved nasi lemak when i was there but ordered it with beef rendang + no fried anchovies. My kids shared the curry mee but that was enough adventure + they got subway the next time lol. Our fav was the boost smoothie place before hitting up the waterpark. The aquarium is connected to the mall on lower ground and we loved it. Definitely a fun place to visit as a family 👌

    If you want fried food hot just be sure the check out if the fryer is on and sizzling then you will get the freshly fried banana, unlike in north America and most of the world (only cavendish) there's a variety of bananas in Malaysa (even gros michel bananas that used to be popular in the us before 1960s) they all have different flavors just like the different types of apples.

    Good for u to try the wrapped in banana leaf package. Most tourist come go to nasi lemak joint that serve on a plate. Nasi lemak wrap in brown paper or banana leaf is level 9000. The drinks serve in the bag is a local lifestyle thing. You get more liquid and ice serve in a bag compare to a glass. To actually experience this u need to go to Mamak shop, ask for drinks in "mangkuk" or bowl. Bungkus Kaw Kaw doesnt give enough liquid in their bag.

    Generally if you are travelling to an Asian country, you should expect spiciness, and if you are not one for spicy food, avoid those locations. Coming to these countries, trying our local food and then complaining it's spicy is a downright insult, and we are not going to 'tone it down' just to please you. Sambal is spicy, that's the way it is, and that's is what we serve everyone. Take it or leave it, or go to McDonald's and get an apple pie.

    One of the ways you can screw up a vacation is taking kids around. Totally a bad idea. First they mess up your schedule, second they get loud, but bottomline they are just a nuisance. Your entire vacation turns into a babysitting chore. What a waste.

    • @OurTinyAdventure
      @OurTinyAdventure  4 месяца назад +1

      That's a terrible view of kids. They can add so much to your experiences if you allow them. If you have kids and that has been your experience, then it's your fault.
      If you don't have kids and you're using hypotheticals, you should stop.
