Can anyone explain to me how the future method works any different than the regular band method? It seems that it still would be lighter on bottom heavier on top
The future method deloads the weight and you consistently press more bar weight. The regular band method provides accommodating resistance. The bands actively pull you down, causing you to constantly accelerate against the weight. The eccentric portion of the lift is also different between the two.

Think they started to call it the future method later, unimaginatively because it tests what you can potentially lift in the future! Bloody hell they were strong in this video!
