Corsair MM300 Extended Mouse Pad Review

- Large, speed cloth pad, high quality materials, very familiar "speed" and with stitched edges. Definitely worth checking out!
Black mice disappear on black pads and colourful pads define a desk too much. Solution? Grey scale. The MM300 solves these two design problems with an interesting grunge look, using silver/grey to good effect.
I'm not sure how well it goes with RGB, but if you have a white backlight on your keyboard and black mouse, this could be a great addition.

I ignore everything on forums or other youtube channels when it comes to mice and pads lol. All I need is Zy's stamp of approval haha
Same with mouses.
Not a smart thing
I certainly doubt that there is a person on a random forum with a bigger experience with such things as mice and mousepads that Zy.
As always , really professional and straight to the point , no annoying talk
Thanks brother
I love this pad, flawless build quality and settles flat really quickly because it seems it's not too tightly packaged. It's like a Goliathus with less initial static friction. Feels good for changing directions suddenly and those pixel adjustments.
But it's not too fast so that you would have to lower your sensitivity!
Great video. Just bought my MM300 on sale a few days ago, hopefully coming in tomorrow. This video makes me even more excited for it. It's my first large/extended(whatever you wanna call it) mousepad so I'm really looking forward to it.
there's now a corsair mm350 which is a essentially a QCK heavy esque mouse pad. it's the same sad with stitched edges and thick and this weave. love it.
Any nice that don’t work well with it
Just got this pad in the mail last week. I love it already.
I was using the Razer Control before but after the stitching got caught and was lifted in a few areas I thought I'd give something else a try.
One of the best decisions I've made.
You deserve more subs man. Your content is always on point
Phew, good to hear it's a good mouse pad. It's currently on sale for $15
haha wow man, havent been to your channel in awhile. Shits growing quick!!! Me n Zowie EC2-A still going strong. Shes good to me
Thanks for the great review!
Thanks mate was tossing up this and another. You're clean and concise review sealed the deal. Thanks again.
Awesome video Zy, keep up the good work! :D
I'm using a Hyper Skyn Control "pad" ad the moment, had for a year now. No wear and tear on it, stays in place on my desk and I dont have to worry about peeling at the wrist. If you can get it I highly recommend this thing if you are into thin mouse pads and you take it on your travels. :)
You're the best. I'm upgrading from the mm200 medium to this baby. Thanks alot!
Lot of corsair reviews coming through recently ;D
Looking into getting this pad - it has the look and feel that fits exactly what I want in a pda (and fits my corsair keyboard and mouse), but just wanted to make sure that it had good tracking.
hi ZY, really good channel, so informative! I was going to take you recommendation and go with an EC1-A, as my hand is both two cm longer AND wider than yours :( but i dont seem to be able to get hold of one. Do you have any thoughts on the Mionix Naos 7000? Its shape is similar to the Razer Naga, which i found to be one of the most comfortable mice i've used! I play CS, and at the moment use a G602 which only has issues with 180 flicks, and its grip pinch width!
love the vids, keep it up sir!
You should mention lift off distance for future mousepad reviews since the mousepad can affect the LOD. Great content as always though :)
Nice video, you have great reviews in my opinion. :)
Hey Zy, do you know if theres any diffrence between the mm200 and mm300 in terms of material, speed, stopping speed etc.? Or are they the same and just differ in looks? thx in advance.
Keep up the good work! you already helped me alot with your Videos and comments.
greetings from switzerland
Julian Zahner Its exactly the same thing. The only thing that changes is the size.
@@billpapadopoulos8295 If size means thickness to you. Because one is 2 and the other is 3mm thick and both comes in more sizes.
Good review like always, I just got one of these the other week :D Are you ever going to review the Raze Blackwidow X? They improved the Razer switches and are no longer manufactured by Kalih. Instead they manufacture them there selfs. It's also has a pretty cool minimal design.
great review as alwaysi'm planning to buy a new mousepad which one should i buy? steelseries xxl, steelseries heavy or corsair mm300 extended and thanks ^^
Are you planning on doing a review of the Final Mouse Tournament Pro when it is re-released?
Hey Zy, I was wondering if you can do a comparison to the MM300 and the MM200. I don’t know which one is better. Anyway keep up the great videos dude!
Nice vid Zy! looking forward to to others. I use a fairly simple Sharkoon clothed mouse pad with an optical sensor mouse. Any reason to maybe buy another one? I have always used this one so i dont know how it compares, although it feels really good to me.
i used to have the mm200, i trim off the edge now and then to keep the fray under control
Just bought it yesterday for my g303 (like no sensor rattle ;) ) and i love it already (medium size)
Hey Xai!
I love your videos. Can you tell me the speed of the pad compared to the Goliathus speed? I was in the market for the Goliathus speed but the only thing stopping me is the tacky all-green design. If this is really similar or almost identical, I might just get this. I know you said its similar, but how similar? I play CS pretty competitively and would like one similar to the Speed as that's what I'm most used too.
Thanks!
Great video as always and I'm still waiting your video comparison of CM Storm Alcor and Cougar 300m.
As soon as I've finished this wave of products, I'll do all the comparisons. Won't be too much longer now!
I had this pad and like the goliathus speed, it just wore away and became really sticky and slower in the middle, within a few weeks. I've now got the QcK Heavy and the feel of that is like what the others become like, so hopefully I'm all good ;)
Nice one thx for the review great work as always;-)
I'm keeping my eyes open for a nice speed mousepad xxl I skipped this one because of the color but it seems to perform nonetheless
finally a decent review that isn't like "uhhh it has nice colors and i like the graphic even though it could be higher quality...."
You forgot to add another uhh in there lol
You should do a top 10 mousepad review like you did with the gaming mice video. That would be great!
Is a review of the Hyper X Fury coming?
Hey Zy great review man! I really like to buy this kind of mouse mat but it's hard to look for one here in the Philippines 😑 there's a mm200 here but the edges are not knitted and the design is too simple
How does this compare to the Roccat Taito?
So, for the poeple ho have it, is it close to the Goliathus Speed?
I know this is old but still, basically the same as the Goliath but in my opinion a cooler design.
Can you do the rival 700 review?
Any alternatives that are the same quality but with the usual black theme?
Would you recommend it with logitech g402
What if there was a gaming mouse that vibrated while shooting, kinda like a controller? Would you buy it?
Running to microcenter to pick up the EC1-A, and wanna get a new mousepad as my QCK Heavy just doesn't feel good to me anymore. Was curious whats the current pad that you use/prefer?
If possible, could you make a ROG GLADIUS review?
love you zy keep up the good work
You should also include "problematic" sensors: 3090(LOD and Jitter may vary depending on surface), 3888(Jitter), 3050(LOD and Jitter) and 3305(Jitter and tracking speed) - you should be able to spin out these last two with your hand.
Love your videos, keep it up! :)
I am wondering, games like Quake or Doom, Does shoot and move affect the accuracy of a weapon?
Thanks for the great review! Will a logitech g703 be jittery on this mousepad at 1000 dpi & 1.0 in game sens in cs go? should I increase the mouse's dpi?
I'm a little late but, just buy the Cougar 700M... it'll perform better with this or paired with the Cougar Arena?
The base does not equal anti-slip. They are two different things. The textured backing isn't the cause of the inconsistent surface, the bubbly base is.
The base doesn't seem bubbly to me, how can you tell? And do you know what causes it?
+Rocket Jump Ninja What Keyboard, Mouse and mousepad combo would you recomend for a budget? (100$-150$)
great review as always! any chance you reviewing the mionix avior 7k and tesoro sagitta/sharur
?
Does he have a place to see what the most durable mousepad is?
hey Zy i was wondering why you use Mwave over PcCaseGear just something i was wondering
Zy, would you recommend the mm300 or the cooler matter swift rx? I like the size of both, it's just your top mouse pad on your "top 5 mouse pads" video, you said swift rx ($23). The mm300 is $14. I can't decide between quality or cost. If their close to the same I'd like to buy the mm300 but if there is a serious reason to buy swift rx I will.
which is the best control mouse pad extended
Hi Zy , I recently bought Asus Strix Glide Speed and I have Mionix Castor. I feel like the mouse losses tracking with this pad sometimes as I play CS. Wich pad is the best in your opinion for this mouse and in general for this types of games? Tnx
I gotta a question how much does the g502 weigh without weights
the G440 mousepad ends with the feet of the mouse? degaste
HyperX Fury XL or this mousepad, Zy?
Also dude, love your videos, they have helped me make a lot of purchases
Hi. Which one did you buy? i'm considering between these two too.
great vid do more mouse pad reviews
Would you recommend for low dpi usage? I consider to buy an extended pad and i really wanna know if it's fit me. Using 400 dpi most of the time and very low in game sensitivities in general.
Yattering It's Extremely Good I have the Zowie EC2-A and the Corsair mm300 Mousepad and it's like a match made in even especially if you're playing CS:GO
I am going to buy today a new mousepad pls help. Should I buy hyperx fury s, glorious 3xl or corsair mm300
Mm300
Hey RocketJumpNinja, can you recommend me a fast cloth pad? faster than the qck
I have a Razer Naga Chroma Mouse, would it go well with the Corsair MM300. I've been looking into to mousepads for my specific mouse, and I believe it is a laser mouse (although I'm not too sure), therefore is it a bad idea to buy this mousepad?
Would a Razer Naga go better with a QcK+ or another mousepad vs the MM300?
If you take the time to reply to this comment honestly thank you, I'm puzzled on the correct mousepad to purchase with the Razer Naga Chroma.
I've been waiting for this for a long time. Great review as always Zy. do yo have any recommendation for me? i want a cloth pad but lowest friction/highest glide :)
I was waiting for this too! Zy somehow finds just the right products to review and it's great!
a good pad with low friction is the zowie gtf-x it's sort of a hybrid pad between cloth and hard pads, that has a textured top that while a bit rough to the touch offers less resistance and higher glide than most standard cloth pads, while maintaining the flexibility and comfort offered by cloth pads. it also has a unique rubber base that unlike most cloth pads that utilize a natural rubber base that has air pockets creating inconsistencies in feel, the gtf-x has a base that has no air pockets creating a surface that while still having some give to it, is very flat and consistant.
Yeah i've heard about them but im not sure. just to be safe i want cloth but with a smooth surface and low friçtion
then you may want to consider the zowie gsr which is a more standard cloth pad with a smooth surface and low friction, (though more friction than the gtfx) and has the same rubber base as the gsr so it should be really flat and consistent. you want more info on both rocket jump ninja has reviewed both
MM300 or the Logitech G840 XL?
I have a G502 Wireless Lightspeed mouse
Question: is there a US representative for Corsair we should be following for those of us in the States?
No idea, but Chris is a good link into the industry... basically one of us gamers, but works closely with companies, and now reps Corsair for AU.
how is this compared with the zowie gs-r ?
How does this compare to the new MM350?
What sensitivity do you usually use in games?
did u ever try out steelseries qck heavy ? :)
So is this a good pad to buy I'm completely lost after watching this video
is it smoother than hyperx fury s
Could you do a video contrasting hard and soft pads?
Yeah it's on the to-do list, just when I get time.
+Rocket Jump Ninja Awesome. That would be good to see.
+Rocket Jump Ninja zy I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the logitech g602
Gerardo Gutierrez Wireless? I think people have said delay + heavy.
Rocket Jump Ninja It's actually not that heavy. It's a good mouse, but I feel a lack of need for it to be reviewed since the G900 is a successor to it, and is 3x as good
is the zowie ec2-a an optical sensor? (that's the mouse I have)
Yes
Do you generally recommend ,high DPI - Low sens ingame, than low DPI and higher ingame sens? I may try this. It looks good and has lots of space. I sometimes run out of space with my Roccat Hiro and mouse keeps banging on my keyboard on fast turns.
Its all preference, you should find a overall sensitivity and use that. the pros of using a high dpi and low sens, is that your aim will seem to be "smoother". While with a low dpi and high sens, you might feel "quicker". Just test both for a while and decide. p.s. if your dpi is too high, you might have trouble navigating the buy menu in a game like csgo.
ProtecSirius I personally like low dpi because my aim feels a lot more "snappy."
This is why I have an extended and use the entire thing for my mouse. I don't actually swipe across a 30 inch mouse pad but I don't have my keyboard on it. So I never bump into anything.
so optical mouses work fine with this mat then
how fast is it compared to the logitech g640?
which mousepad is faster mm300 or mp510
2:09 what's the source on that? this sort of stuff is apcoryphal afaik, ppl talked about stuff like that in overwatch and tryint o calculate it
hi my name is hi
Zy
hamed
I actually know someone who's name is ''hai''
h
Hi my name msi
Is it smooth? like good for clicks
I have done a lot of research and I have come up with the mm300 and the rx swift but I'm not able to find any actual differences, apart from the size and the fact that the swift rx is only black. I cannot decide which one to pick, any help would be appreciated!
Γιαννης Ιωαννου πάρε το mm300 το έχω και είναι γαματο
i feel him so slow after 1 week of use. this is normal?
can you test the DM60 Mouse ? PMW3336DM
Hey Zy, would you get this or the Glorious XXL? I have a Logitech G303
I prefer the feel of this, but I like the size of the Glorious.
Ordered this bad boy today
Shall I still get it in 2021?
Is this by any chance pretty much the same as the Razer Goliathus CONTROL Large ?
No, it's more like the speed.
Oh, thanks. Then it´s definitely not my thing. Could you recommend me one similar in size and surface to the Razer Goliathus Control ? It´s out of stock in my country´s Online shops...
None that I've tried, it's fairly unique.
Hmm, yes, that makes sense. Hated all mouse pads I had before till I found this one. Anyway, thanks, man. I´ll just wait or try to buy it elsewhere.
Next review top 20 mousepads please xD
Is that a speed or a control mouse pad
Any recommendations on a mousepad for the deathadder chroma low-medium sensitivity??
Joao Castro I'm using the Corsair MM300 with 400 DPI (Razer Deathadder Chroma) and it's pretty good. It's all preference tho. Whether you like a hard pad or cloth pad... there's no "best" pad.
Zowie GS-R
is it easy to clean this
would this work with the mionix castor? I know this mouse doesnt like non black material...
it should, the castor uses the pixart 3310
Tested, seemed to work fine.
this or the G-SR?
Can u do the best mouse and mousepad for cs go plz, would be very helpful as I'm currently looking for the right combination (hand size medium, budget £70-80)
personally i'd recommend for a medium hand (assuming around 18- 19Cm) the ec2-a its a great mouse that supports all grip styles, has a relatively low weight, and a solid sensor, though if you do a full palm grip and your hand is 19cm or larger the ec1 a may be better (same mouse but larger). for mouse pad it depends on if want more or less friction, more friction (control) id reccomend the gsr, less friction (speed) id recommend the gtf-x
+picante wheat thanks for the advice man but it might be too much money for my budget, I might just go for the steelseries qck+ instead, would it be good for the zowie ec2-a?
while I've never personally used it the qck line is one of the most popular pads so you should be fine with it, a possible alternative could be the glorious xl or xl heavy as both are similar in size and price while being thicker and having the benefit of stitched edges which could increase the pads longevity as it would prevent the surface from fraying and peeling, whichever pad you go with these are all great choices that will go very well with the ec2-a
also if you do want to try and save some dosh and live near a best buy or are willing to abuse amazons return policy you should check out the g303 it's a very polarizing mouse mainly due to its shape which seems to either work for most people or doesn't, ( for me it's great while it's not as comfortable as the ec2a or fk2 i can aim as well or better than both) it depends on your hand size and grip so YMMV, but if you can get past the shape its a great mouse, great sensor, buttons, solid weight, good price. otherwise stick with the ec2-a
which mousepad does he use?
isnt 800 dpi sens 2 the same as 1600 dpi with 1 sens because the effective dpi is the same
Same speed, different behaviour.
Just got the Razer Overwatch Goliathus Speed. I'm impressed. Usually don't buy Razer products and now that I think of it, I think I've only owned about 4 Sphexes and this thing - never owned any other Razer products. I don't have any complaints.
Thing is very smooth.
So how do you clean it? Does it lose color over time?
Use a microweave cloth to clean it, and so far no.
Energyone Wet or dry? I assume it should be done regulary so as not to build a critical amount of dust/dirt...
_Moon_Light_
Well, it's not like I am going to test it and find out...?
so play with 1600 dpi?
