I looked at your gameplay (arc 8 to arc 9) and I have to say it's impressive! I don't play necro but good job on this necro, it looks great. I hope to see something similar in your IA build for sorc! 😋
Thank you Lubomír! I have been streaming the Sorcerer play testing here recently. It's all done, I just have to get to the guides. It's going to be an updated Scuffed Sorc: www.thegameroom.tv/scuffed-sorc
I have 2 necros in my army of daily writ crafters, but I haven’t been drawn to that class for some reason. Now I know what I’m going to do with one of them. Thanks!
@@Bekfst Oh yea for sure, there isn’t any damage proccing set that has relevant damage in upper arcs. Most sets will be sub 5% damage down to 1%. But it can be a useful way to proc status effects with mac proccing hemo and corpse proccing overcharged. With sets like these, what makes them viable is the volume of damage sources, not necessarily the damage of the sources themselves. Same concept as the Scuffed Sorc on the channel packing in as much shock damage as possible. The actual shock damage is totally irrelevant, however it’s peaked at 65% concussion damage, at times more than all the other status effects combined. It may be a totally terrible combo for upper arcs. I haven’t even equipped the sets yet, but it looks fun to try, if anything, in lower Arcs for fun.
Yeah, as @@Doomasays it is also about the number of adds , the more the merrier, indeed for those sets to work it's mandatory to stack the adds, so solo work best cos it's easier to stack them using the environment (unless u have good team work). I'm speed farming the IA with those sets, it's true that I haven't gone beyond arc 4 so not sure how feasible is beyond that (not interested to go deep anymore I did that amd I don't think that compensates if your goal is to farm the IA) but till arc 4 is getting stronger
Really love your builds, and the detailed explanations of everything. Thanks! I build this and it works very nicely, but what build do you use say for arc 1-4? this one, or a modified one? as this is really slow in the lower arcs. Thanks!
Hi Henri, thank you so much, and you are very welcome! At the end of the video 7:44 I break down all the changes for you for early arcs so they are quicker to get through.
What other content could you run with this build? Ik the damage isn’t that high outside of IA but it looks so fun and tanky. Maybe solo world bosses? Vet dungeon solos probably too except for ones with dps check phases. Just curious
honestly, you would need to change so many things to make it effective for other content, it just makes sense to use a different set up. The damage would be quite awful outside of IA. Have you seen this set up? ruclips.net/video/xiqjyP_cVFQ/видео.html&t It's similar'ish to this set up and you can use some of the skills from here on that set up. Also, I just dropped this, to be release soon🙂: ruclips.net/video/7xLaIKtzNww/видео.html
@@Dooma I actually run your 3 button necro, it’s top tier! I just like trying your builds haha so I might put this IA one together for lols. That new one looks awesome too! Thanks for the reply dooma 🙏
Made this build. Like it alot. I use the higher arc build alrdy for early arc to facetank the fire marauder that i encounter alot at start arc 2. Hehe. But yeah then it really needs the verses early on to shine. Wil ltry the early arc setup.
😅 When this update came out, I got absolutely clapped by both new marauders until I learned how to deal with them. Kind of what I meant a bit by the tools are all there, you just have to get in there and learn how to use them. Once you learn it, it's go time! 💪
Is heartland conqueror really the best choice for 2nd set? With both ele sus and scythe you have guaranteed status effects, so the benefit is really just to the poison enchant and verse/vision related damage. Which isn't nothing, but I wonder if you'd get more from bang for your buck from warrior poet or daedric trickery (which is amazing after some extended favors) or leeching. Or maybe I'm missing something...
Hi there Blanff! There is a ton of secondary stuff in the Archive now. For example, with the Prickey Retort vision (thorns), youll randomly catch Sundered as your #1 damage source from it (often times top 3 and in the gameplay section in the description, theres a single target boss fight in the gameplay VOD in the description with sundered at the #2 source of damage for an example). When you have the new Undead Atro, sundered should be top 3 sources of damage. Many of the misc. damage sources have associated status effects. Also, your Goliath should be up (very roughly) 40-60% (sometimes more, sometimes less) of the duration of stage 3 fights. This is PUMPing out magic damage all around you and in later arcs that equates to considerable overcharged procs thats often an overlooked status effect damage source. Often times in upper arcs its a "prep and burn" scenario where you prep every mob with all your dots, gather them, then pop Goliath and burn them down (also in the gameplay VOD in the description). There's tons of ways Heartland is adding value to the build, even though it may not be on the surface. Great question, thank you! Edit: The strength of all the new scribing razzle dazzle, combined with all the new visions, has opened the door a bit to lean off the second set for pure defense and add utility/damage. The old versions of the IA builds on the channel all used Warrior Poet or Leeching, and I dont see myself using them on any builds anymore (for solo clears). I even have some builds coming out soon with the second set being a pure damage stat set with zero defense at all (not in heavy armor) and still in Arc 8 and 9. It's a whole new world with scribing and the new visions now haha.
@@blanff Haha awesome, I'm excited for you. It's a good time. Also, check out the reply one more time. I added an edit just now you may be interested in as well.
DK main here. But I have always learned something from your video mate! Will try the Heartland Conqueror+Serpent's Disdain combo sets. Any thoughts if I switch Disdain to Order's Wrath (heavy)?
Awesome, I appreciate you leaving a comment! Serpent's Disdain is doing quite a lot in upper arcs. You'll spend most of the time in upper arcs kiting (there some gameplay of Arc 8 and Arc 9 in the video description) with your burning, poison, and hemo ticking. You won't be able to reliably reapply them at all in the chaos and having a 20s timer on all of them is enormous for overall damage. If you are playing a duo and have a tank that changes things, but for solo, Serpent's is massive for upper Arcs.
What's your favorite character build for pvp if you only had to stick to one of your characters?... I personally have been running with the arcanist bow one bar and I've never had so much fun in battle grounds before that build .. I'm just curious what you think if you had to stick to just 1 guy
I've been running the same build since the new BGs dropped haha. Its been performing super well. Typically most damage of the BG or right there with it and very good KDAs. Using Healing Contingency in place of Vigor (Used in the way the dodge roll section is showing in this vid: ruclips.net/video/hT4xOfl_jxE/видео.html) it healed for just under 800k one BG, during my dodge rolls haha. I also dropped Rele for Way of Fire on the build as well. Currently my #1 One Bar PvP build for sure.
Hi there! Symmetry works great paired with Heartland on some set ups (a few are coming soon'ish to the channel) but it's not the greatest as a full replacement. Light vs. Heavy makes it difficult to hit resist cap and results in a bit less % for status effect chance. I am sure there are some squirrely outlier builds out there, but in general, 1:1 Heartlands is a better option for IA.
With the introduction of scribing and the new visions in IA, I don't see myself using Leeching, Poet, or any other tank set anymore for solo runs. There's lots of ways to back door the strength of those sets now, while also generating more damage.
Hi there! Check out my response to Blanff here in the comments. I went over this in depth there and you may be interested in some of the extra info. Edit: Thank you! 🙏
Hi there Stefano! All of the builds should work for any platform. It's just a funky timing for this one being in the 2 week gap before the latest changes land on console. As soon as u43 goes live for you here soon, you'll be good to go.
Hi Logan! My last round of IA guides was a learning experience for me with everyone's feedback. What you are saying here was probably said to me a thousand times haha. I started putting in discord and sharing on streams, more or less what is at the end of this video. The builds are designed for upper arcs, so lower arcs are going to be a super slog. What I was saying previously was, "do what you have to do to make it more enjoyable for you early. Damage food and cp, slight change of gear, add a real spammable, etc." But this round of guides I have been adding the lower arc section for people as well to make everyone's experience better there. Apologies for that before! haha
Hi there Mr. Alby! You can play with a tank! Also, every build in the game, for every class, the #1 thing you are after is Focused Efforts. It is the centerpiece to the whole content. It doesnt matter how good you are, or how good your build is, Focused Efforts will ultimately determine how far you can go and how much of a slog/easy run it will be for you. Scorching and Ferocious Support visions are great as well and build in to your Atros. On that note, stacking any and all of the Atros is generally a good idea. 1 Resolute Mind is generally good for recovering from CC. Thorns is great for proccing sundered. And I always take the % health increases when available unless there is a much superior option. That should get you started a bit haha.
