This is an incredibly strong One Bar Magicka Necromancer Solo build for Elder Scrolls Online and u42. It uses Oakensoul, one bar, and only 3 buttons. It's capable of EASILY clearing Veteran Maelstrom Arena, Veteran Vateshran, and even some TRIAL bosses! You can also take it to group content such as any dungeon on any difficulty!

I can confirm this build is legit: ran most of spindleclutch without armor, not even realizing I didn't have any equipped. I haven't been able to solo the final boss in years, and finally succeeded

Thank you for providing a Necro build that allows me to finally get the Iceheart/Hexos/Fav Damage Set Trio off of them. It was a good two+ year run, but it was getting stale.

@@collin833 Old term we use for stuff you put away and don't use or if used, it is very rare. Old Navy ships are referenced as mothballed when they are stripped and put out of service.

I just tried this build just now and WOW... All I did was switch Flare with Deaden Pain to keep the Major Protection on plus give an extra heal over time along with 3% passive reduction to dmg. Also I guess you can ult dump into Goliath from more often too which offsets the drop in the health regen since while in that form you're almost unkillable. Seriously THANK YOU. I'm going to refer this video to my guild mates who some are veterans with disabilities but still want to use the full bar as much as possible so that they don't get bored. Your content is really what keeps some of these players still in the game. I can't say thank you enough. This will make a lot of them enjoy this class finally

All these new release builds from this channel have renewed life into older toons that sat because of stagnant play/builds. I have to say the nightbalde, templar builds are insane and I've been running all over pounding content I never tried before. The new Templar build is literally mental killing world bosses while drinking coffee with one hand lol.

Great video! I am loving this build too so thank you. I just have one question. Why do you have light armor on the shoulders? Would you get more armor from having medium armor piece on shoulder and light armor on the belt?
You nailed it! That is the better option. Another player pointed that out and I have since updated it in the future guides that came out. Since the change is so tiny, I didnt want to reflect it in this written guide and potentially confuse anyone following along. Great catch and thank you for taking the time to mention it! 🙏

can i use Bloodthirsty on jewelry instead of infused on this build?
Hi there! You can if you want more damage and arent really dying to anything that you are doing. The thing to know about BT is the specific phrase in it's wording "against enemies" which means it does not factor into self-healing abilities (unless the self healing abilities is a damage ability and the heal is a % of the damage done, which makes things even more messy).
Due to this, "normally" in PVP and solo PVE, most builds run weapon/spell damage there. There are plenty of niche builds that don't, but that is the norm.
BT is 'typically' used for group dps builds as you will have additional support there.

Almost certainly nDSA (It doesnt take much to solo that on normal anymore). Truthfully though, I havent ever even tried to solo' vDSA. I actually havent been in there in ages haha.

@@Dooma yes, but the ability of stalking blastbones (explosing skeleton) had been changed and i couldnt find a new dps guide with the change :)
@@yannik2675 Oh gotchya! So the morph in the vid I linked is what is used now for those build types. They wanted to open the door to new build types with the Necro with the rework, while still also leaving the sweaty side mostly untouched with using Blighted Blastbones. Ive played around with the new mag morph and I havent really found much yet with it either that is super amazing, So =I feel you there. I also havent quite done a full deep dive yet, but every time I tried it, I found other options ended up better. I plan to take a further look after u42 landed here soon, so hopefully then we have something fun with it.
Well lights are needed for ultimate charge but it such small thing so no need to count it as a 4th button
True, but also, you don't use your ultimate for this set up (unless you want to), so you can take advantage of the stacking Health Recovery and Strategic Reserve CP. If you are using your ultimate in any way regularly, you should consider changing that set up because cycling through 0-200'ish ult can kill the health recovery tactic, vs sitting on it with 500 ult.
Great video! Currently following this build right now. I’m relatively new to the game so I was wondering how you put maximum magicka enchantment on Pillar of Nirn pieces as I’m filling out my sticker book but they all have maximum stamina enchantments by default
Hi Adison! Welcome to ESO and thank you! Gear in ESO have enchants (properly called "glyphs.") You can craft them yourself or buy them off guild traders. Once you have one, you right click a gear piece (or console equivalent), select "enchant" and then you should see the Glyphs you have in your inventory that is available to use on that specific gear piece.

@@adisonturner7726 It's not lost. The enchant quality is separate, so the gold enchant value will stay the same on a purple, blue, etc. piece of armor.
What is the multi effect enchant on jewlery?
Hi there! That is the "Increase Magical Harm" enchant, or also known as "Spell Damage Glyph." I an not sure exactly why they list it like that within the addon itself.

I am messing around with one. I am using sergeant and slimecraw with permafrost to survive Falkreath Hold on normal. I´ve tried Order´s wrath, Hexos and Deadly for better DPS but without Permafrost I am getting one shoted by Minotaurs (sometimes even 29K damage). What am I missing? I would appreciate any advice.

Regarding the Minotaurs, their heavy attack is something you have to avoid normally. It has a visual you can see it building up. I am aware of Mitoraurs building up attacks but sometimes it feels hard to follow when there is more ads, eperience lagging or just tired from work 🙂Anyway I am using them as proving stone - If the build can survive this I am comfortable in new dungeons (new for me) and other "harder" content. What are you referring to exactly? I just want to be clear on what you are asking. This setup is using Pillar or Nirn and Overwhelming Surge, which are both dungeon/non-trial sets.

Is there a stamina equivalent for this?
Hi there! I don't have one specifically but if you really wanted to play it as stam you can convert it with a series of changes to make it more of a stam build, but I have no idea how viable it would be without a bunch of play testing myself. I know it's possible if you were really interested in it, it would just take some time sorting it all out.
how do i sustain my magika its always depleting
Hi there! First, thank you for the comment and apologies for the super delayed response. 🙏 I am just returning from being out from surgery. One big thing you can do that is not super evident for newer players is to make sure you are using your potions on cooldown and have the 3/3 Medical Use passive from the Alchemy skill line. If you arent doing those, you will notice a large difference when you do.

How hard are Oakensoul and pillar of nirn to farm?
Nirn is simple. I have a guide for solo farming it here for you: ruclips.net/video/hGuZ41wpB2Y/видео.html&t Oakensoul is also simple, but heavily gated behind RNG like all mythics. So some leads may drop quickly for you, some may take a while for it to drop. For example, some people did it all in a few hours where it took me almost 4 days to get all the Oakensoul leads. Other mythic leads took people days to get and I got it on the first drop.

Pretty sure vamp kills health recovery, if that's the case well that's how this build stays alive

I wouldn't go vamp here due to what Frank said below. It's going to cut your health recovery. You can always cleanse it if you like, and when you get re-bit later, you will keep your skills you have leveled.

I just picked up this game a week ago, but I wasn't having fun with the necro class. It felt like too much micro-managing without feeling like a true necromancer.

Hey, super excited to sink my teeth into this build, but I can't figure out how to get my health recovery up that high. I've got all the stuff you mentioned to boost it and after all is said and done I'm sitting at 2100 after Undead Confederate with a 1400 unbuffed. Not terrible but definitely not as good. I'm a Khajiit which should make it easier to hit higher recovery, but something is stopping me.

@@MurderTurtle If you are not rolling potions previously, then it had to increase it as it applied the Major Fortitude buff, increasing your health recovery by 30%. The Heavy Helm will it increase it further as it will add to the % based increase as well.
If you aren’t getting a health recovery increase before and after applying Major Fortitude, then you may want to consider opening a ticket. You also may have a ui issue of some sort. But rolling your potions will add 30% health recovery if you are using the correct potion.

Hi there! Thank you and you are very welcome! I genuinely believe leaning that hard in a direction from level 1 wouldn't be the best idea, only because its going to limit your character fairly massively once you end up at max level and start to get into content. It's ESO, there's a million ways to do it and if you are clearing content, having fun, and not holding others back from your choices, there's no wrong answers, but I do feel anyone would regret not getting a bit more well rounded on the level 1-50 journey. You would be surprised the countless things you wish you had later on, that you can knock out leveling up along the way as you level such as various skills, guild lines, weapon skills, etc. vs having to take the time later to circle back and do it. You are collecting xp right now as you level, make use of it to level skills and what not that you can have later, even if it doesnt fit what you had in mind. Overland content is designed to be extremely easy with the exceptions of world bosses and what not. Most things should fall over in a couple of button presses. There is lots of space to level, even if just a couple at time, side skills along the way.
The TLDR I guess is, do it now or it becomes an unnecessary time-sink later.
I hope this helps some. Also, completely disregard all of this if you know this doesn't apply to you haha. This is just what was told to me when I first started playing and I didnt listen and ended up having to circle back for ages leveling up stuff I could have while leveling the first time. So I try to pay the advice forward when it comes up. 🙏
at the risk of sounding dumb, is there a guide that shows from lvl 1 to max for something like this?
Hi there! Not a dumb question at all, but, I dont really have that kind of guide available.
If I could give a suggestion, I very strongly do not suggest aiming towards a specific build from lvl 1, as a newer player. There is a million things you are doing to experience during the level up process that may interest you and just getting more well rounded by leveling everything you can on the way, is going to benefit you massively more in the end than staying in a super narrow lane.
I can almost guarantee that you will end up circling back and having to grind xp for various things because you didnt do it during the level up process. Since you are already collecting xp during that time, put it to good use by leveling as many things as you can, even if its just a pure hot mess, thats totally fine and objectively better than focusing on a single thing and overland stuff isnt really intended to be a challenge, world bosses and such aside. Most everything is going to just fall over no matter what you have on your bars.

Can I change pillar of nirn for macabre vintage from gold road overland sets?
Hi there! You totally can, but a small word of caution for that set: It's a fun set but vs. any sort of boss without a series of adds, it will be a fairly large set back as the 5 set requires something to die for it to proc. With no procs, it provides no damage. If you are primarily farming overworld stuff like delves and public dungeons, you will be totally fine either way.
I did manage to get it to work, and I added the new Destruction Staff scribing skill and timed it to hit when Blastbones does as a fight opener, and it is JUICY

You can swap flair for corps explosion for trash fights.
Dooma on a mission and very well done. I've shelved my magcro a long time ago due to the insane rotation (2 bar) and seemed more grief than what it was worth . I did tinker with the traditional 1 bar, but to me it was just ehh. I'm looking forward to this one, but I am like 3 builds behind. Hehe . I'm curious as to which multi-effect glyph you put on the jewelry. Overwhelming has the weapon damage glyph and the Oakensoul has the tri-stat recovery glyph.
It’s a funky way that addon words it, apologies. The jewelry enchant is “increase magical harm” or “spell damage” for slang.
Great work again my guy! Really enjoying this so far, fun to play and so much less work. I mostly play necro and DK and sometimes I just don't want constant bar-swapping and trying to keep up dots, so this is now my nice chill and farm build, but it still hits hard. I kept the same setup listed and got through vMA while watching a movie.
For running through trash mobs or farming normal dungeons I switched PoN to Tarnished Nightmare and changed the healing CP to Fighting Finesse. Def not as tanky but drops groups with a single blastbones.

Hello Dooma, I see that a lot of your builds are for DMG which is great, but I have not seen one bar builds for tanking vet dungeos or trials, is that possible?
Hi there Ivan! You can totally tank with 1 bar. We have a 1 bar tank set up for every class on the website that was tested in veteran trials. It is 1 bar, so it does have its limits, but you can do all 4 man content with it and many of the more basic vet trials as well. www.thegameroom.tv
Ive done this combo before on my Templar. Oddly enough i found it a bit weaker on that class, but this! My goodness it looks like it actually works better for the necromancer 🎉

Is there more of a noob armour set and rings that are easier to acquire that would still output good damage while trying to get the good set?
Because Pillar of Nirn and Surge can just be quickly farmed in normal dungeons, I kind of feel like any effort to put together a temporary set up would be kind of wasted time you know? Just use any other build on any char you have for now to make it easy for you. You can prob knock out the whole gear farm in 1 sitting with a friend or two. Hey Man, I really think your builds are great.
The simple nature of them definitely makes them easy to play for us time impaired who don't have as much time to 'git gud' at eso as much as I'd like.
The best build imo was probably the older magblade with way of fire.
Your newer one still slaps in bgs but just can't get used to this new status effect meta. Dots don't seam as impactful as sudden burst but that's the new meta.
Been using necro primarily for questing/learning class as mine has sat unused for months after brp leveling.
Definitely going to try this for farming Vmaelstrom, Vvateshran, and Vdsa.
No requests on class builds, you're doing great and I do really appreciate these builds and your great explanations for them.

Leveled up my Cro finally! was only able to reach 2900 recovery with Spirit mender active and Potion buff too, I think im missing something
Awesome Grim! That is very roughly in line with food. Are you sure you have the same food? If you are checking with tri-pots rolling for Maj. Fortitude, and you have all the other elements of the build in place including CP and what not, the only other thing I can think of is possibly not having your ult fully charged to 500? Let me know when you figure it out if you dont mind. This is one of the first times there has been an issue (that I have seen) where Maj. Fortitude from potions wasn't the answer haha.
@@Dooma Just been combing through it all now, got the CP in the correct place, sat at 500 ulti, witch mothers potent brew (Not sure if that's causing much and definitely got major fortitude! I am not sure on the difference with food! Even with the stats at the moment it's super survivable.
@@Dooma I think i've got it cracked, got it down to the food, forgot Witch mothers doesnt give health recov! I'm an idiot haha. I struggle with Mag sustain on a parse though, finding myself having to Heavy attack a lot but going to test in vet content as we speak! :D Thanks.
@@Dooma It was down to food, you're right haha! Also, how are you able to sustain magicka so well? I struggle on a 21m parse dummy after just 2 million damage even with potions for some reason

Hm, you may have some other things going on here as well, from what I remember, mag stayed mostly full while on the dummy. Let me run through a few ideas:
-Use sustain food when parsing, so Ghastly Eye Bowls in this case.
-Use your Tri-Pots on cooldown. Also make sure you have 3/3 Medicinal Use from the Alchemy skill line to increase potions buffs to 100% up time.
-Double check you are using Increase Magical Harm on Jewelry.
-Double check you have Rejuv CP.
-Take synergies as soon as they drop. If you sit on them, you get less resources over time.
-The only other big element here would be High Elf sustain passive, which it could be possible, but I would be shocked if it was a required x factor to make it sustainable.

Haha, after the Surge set Bill? That dungeon can be Solo'd on normal fairly quick as well if you are trying to pick that up and don't want to deal with group queues.

Deadly was a decent back up option. You can pick that up for cheap gold in off-traits on traders (or buy with AP in Cyro).
It was somewhere in the 110s with Rele.

Haha😅 Maybe consider getting 1 month of ESO+? You will get access to quite a lot and that would give you a month to farm up a bunhc of gear from different DLCs.
