i wish IA had some way to save your progress, the one thing keeping me from powering through it is just the sheer number of hours you need in one sitting to progress. I got other stuff to do lmao.
Thanks for posting, but you're kinda repeating the very same comments that this video addresses. You CAN solo Arcs 1-2 in 20 minutes, even faster with a buddy. Even beating Arc 4 doesn't take that long, and nothing changes after that so the only people who'd want to push further are those who have the time. I'm kinda with you though, I rarely go past Arc 5 or 6 even if I have Threads left.
@@NinjaPulls oh I meant going past arc 5. The earlier arcs are not much of a problem for me. I just love this game mode but generally don't have the time to push all the way until I run out of threads.
I just finished oakensoul and was able to finish off my sergeants mail/tharrikers strike sets and it's been doable for me. I'm a necro and switch out elemental susceptibility with ruinous scythe for dmg and sustain for mobs as it gets harder. Though, I haven't gotten past arc 3, but that's just because I have a smaller attention span than some lol
This is great advice. I've haven't tried using different setups yet, but recently I got to arc 4 for the first time with a companion tank, so your advice will definitely help me progress more.
My friend and I also noticed that our combo works better when we both start as DD while once we reach Arc 3 one switches to a self sustaining Tank to make sure that one can taunt all enemies and survive on his own while the other is fully focused on damage Thats why the Role switcher aims to get rather self supporting visions like increase damage shield or mitigation or heal and if possible a cheap way to get some damage (for example ferocious support) while the second mostly aims for higher damage to make short work The only problem we faced were marauders to which we have the most ridiculous solution which my friend doesn’t like but still welcomes. He dies and stays dead. I tank the boss and deal mainly damage via ferocious support which slowly but surely will kill the boss while I just maintain my sustain. If possible I try to revive but in many cases (like the Marauder that floods the stage with a million tornadoes) he wont stay on stage for too long before dying again
I realize that I would need a bunch of builds and grinding and then wondered why go through all that work..for what? To me just another grindy system that is meant to waste time increase play time for little dev time for zos. And and every needs to pay $200 a year for that craft bag because you will to waste 45 slots on gear just to switch in the archive. Guarantee they sat in their stupid board room and brainstormed ways to get people to sub...and instead of good content they were like, lets copy paste mobs already in the game, create boring and ugly arenas...lets say like 10 of them, and reuse bosses with simplified mechanics...and then add focuses that force players to change gear to match the focus...cha ching. Oh and changing in archive or having a lot of slots, you could just buy an armorer slot and an travel guy to allow you to do it in arena... only costs like $50 to do so!!! lol
@@notiowegian A perfect example of someone who can't compete in IA. I play hours in IA on a Sorc and Arc and have 2 builds for each toon. The beauty of IA is that each run is unique. Challenging content is fun, if you can't compete maybe ESO isn't the game for you.
@@andykeeble1 Why would you play hours on IA? Because the little numbers in the upper right go up? Why not actually compete and play pvp against good players. IA isn't about skill but the proper gear combinations and drops and class setup of the duo...and playing hours might mean you only make it to ARC 5 when people have made it to ARC 13. IA was designed to be build specific, meaning people need to bring tons of gear sets to get very deep in, which eats up space, which requires ESO+. And no offense, but what kind of "competitor" spends $200 a year for a craft bag?
Yea, I thought you just do a damage tank build for the whole thing. Bloodthirsty, attack runes, and two sets that help damage. Nice to know you were supposed to switch everything out.
My BIGGEST point of criticism is that you cant save your current run and continue a day later. Thats THE main thing thats ruining archive for me. Sorry, but I dont have 4+ hours in a row to play only archive to get to arc 8 or higher. I am a quite competitive player and Im sure I would have a lot of fun playing archive and trying to get to the higher ranks and onto the leaderboard, but wasting a couple of hours playing Arc 1-5 every. single. time. (even with a glass canon setup it takes time) over and over again before it even starts to become a little more challenging just isnt fun.
Doing the Archive with a buddy is lots of fun! Even for me, and I'm a lousy fighter! But what irks me, as so mamy things in ESO: HOW, in Arkays name, AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW, WHICH BOSS NEEDS WHICH SET??? I normaly choose a set from one of the great ones on googel, and then go for it. Even now, that you have explained very lucidly, im muddled! What now??? And then it gets all too much and I forget armor and bossfights go build a house! 😂😂😂 So, you will probably hear from me soon! ❤

how is the Breton racial passive for IA? being able to double the spell resistance seems pretty strong and might let you build more into damage for late stages.
If you're already a Breton then sure. But the resistance cap is easy enough to hit without that passive, and it won't do much when you're attacked with Martial damage! But yeah, it looks like you're thinking along the right lines.
yeah, I started playing last decemeber whole game and went to maelstorm instantly as I got there. few runs on normal then vet. I was so hit by a donkey to the face on the poison arena. then few weeks brake, and maybe 5 runs later, flawless by accident ;p but yeah, there you just have to remember to breathe and do mechs. I think IA is a bit more laid back since you can bring a friend. but anyway, point was, you'll get there! just remember to breathe! :D
Im currently top 10 in u42 Solo for all classes except Templar for IA, heres how I progress: Arc 1-2 or 3: Standard DPS build. Its basically vet dungeon content level. When you switch is class dependent. I personally use an Oaken Heavy attack build on all classes for this, but everything works. If you can do vet dungeons without a dedicated healer, you can do this with ease. Be self-sufficient. (Hot + Shield works, Example for Sorc, Hardened + Crit Surge, or DK with Bone Shield + Dragon Blood, or a scribe shield) Arc 3-5: Swap to Heavy armor/Protective jewelry/Defensive Blue CP as needed. Heavy armor is key, you need to basically max out or near max out your armor (33.5k) values with buffs on. Damage is no longer a major issue since you should have 1-2 Focused Efforts and other Atro key passives to ramp damage up. Increasing use of Line of Sight to ramp up damage is also key, so is mobility. Arc 6+ is about just going through the motions. Every class is a bit different, you will die to Maras no matter how good/solo you are (Unless running a Perma-Shell DK, which is soooo boring) or the occasional stupid Boss. Arc 9+ is pure luck with maras/arena selection and bosses. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont. A protip for Maras, if you have full Atros pop a utility mystery verse. Sometimes you can get the Atro transform from this. When it works, its amazing! Also sometimes you get the taunt eye which also helps. A good timing on this can get you past the Arc 8+ Mara and give you another +1 Arc to your record. Edit: Protip 2, Strategic Reserve is a great survival tool. Can't built and use ults if you're dead and ultimately they dont do much damage. Plus you can make use of the +45% health recovery verse for insane (5k+) Health recovery for basically nothing. At 5k thats 2.5k health/second. Protip 3: There is a limited amount of time you can port out of IA and go back without a reset. You can use this time to respec your attribs into health or even make a quick set/enchantment change if needed, or even use the armory (some of my chars have 2 IA slots. Early and Late arc builds). Just be quick about it. This may be unintended and changed in the future. Im always popping out and changing things around, sets, enchantments, etc as needed. IA rewards flexibility and experimentation. Use it.

Arc 6-7 and often 8 marauders can be tanked even on partial tank builds, also non dk (magma shell). After that you want to kite them around with high mobility until they start doing the abilities with long animations. Then spam some focussed efforts boosted skills. The real RNG is whether or not the map you are in in arc 8+ is very small when you get a marauder. When you can barely get out of the marauder's melee range and all the trash is chewing through your resources while you block the marauder, there's nothing to be done but magma shell
@@NinjaPulls I generally refer to the frames of the base game (press "F5" and press "T") that can overlap with those from the addons. How did you manipulate the three? They are always up on the video, almost all the time. I have troubles when dealing with the lower right corner, where multiple frames lay.
Great Advice! My stam Arc is carrying 3 extra sets and 3 extra monster sets and 2 different Mythics.. not to mention the sets he has on. It IS overly ambitious of me, as I don't get much past arc 5 before my hands start hurting to much to continue... but one day!

Lol... I Just watched the part where you're fighting in Arc 2. I can't wait to post the evidence I have, of what I think is.... well, I won't spoil the fun. Let's just say this- my runs? Look nothing like your runs. Make no mistake, I'm not claiming Meta status or anything like it. I'm a solo player, disabled, who can't really run dungeons with others, because it wouldn't be fair to them, me running off to be sick every so often. I'm missing a few pieces I really need, and keep hoping for a day I might feel better so I can do this, or to find more friends, because many have left ESO in the past couple of years. All that said, however, I've been a gamers all my life- I've gotten to are 2.4, but usually get blasted by the trash mobs at that point. I did figure out on my own, however, as I do all things, that I'd need to have another set with me- I mean, had to be some reason they brought in that Armory station, right? So that's not a real issue for my anymore. There are two things that are- And I believe both are related? But I just find it hard to believe that I'm RIGHT. See, I'm no whiner. I'm no conspiracy theorist. But when something happens time and time and time again, over a period of 6 months and more? Well, I kinda have to believe it's NOT me doing something wrong, (although there's still much to learn, even after 9 years). When I get my videos posted, which will take some time still? I'd love your opinion, and all others, on what they see. I refuse to bring in any biases? So when I post them, I'll do just that- no fanfare, no talking about it. Just videos, many of them, showing what happens when I'm playing IA. It is SO MUCH different that what I see on RUclips- I think y'all might agree- or maybe y'all will see some fatal, moronic flaw in my playstyle? Y'all can rip on me about- I can take it- as I said, LIFELONG gamer here. But I will ask one question- and if you're kind enough to respond? Know I appreciate it greatly. The side quest Bosmer fight. Beaten the first one. And only gotten close to beating the 2nd one, ONCE, in maybe 200 attempts. Not being able to get my Vision buffs, is obviously part of the problem I'm having. But it's like something is intentionally not allowing me to finish that lady off- (down to 20%). I can get the first crystal, the first Mind Terror, and get both her & the 2nd crystal down to about 50%. Then? All hell breaks loose. I have so many vines & other mobs, but can still stay alive until? I get PINNED to the ground, unable to move, get swarmed, dead. No blocking can help. No Roll/Dodge. It will grab me mid-roll-dodge and pin me. I see nothing to block. There's just a white light that grabs me, and it's game over. Even if full health, shields. Same thing, over & over again. It's not the Mind Terror, as I don't see one in the video while I'm fighting the 2nd crystal. In fact, none of the videos show anything doing that action. I thought maybe there was just some glitch in my system, by it happens on my 2nd account as well. Same X-box, different accounts. Same "pinning". Just as it seems I'm going to beat it? PINNED. As you might guess, it's getting to the point of wanting to quit myself. Without that upgrade to visions? I double I can get much further than 2.4. Sorry this is such a book, but explanations take words, and I wanted to be as clear as I could. As I said, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, for any time you give this.
That sounds like the mind terrors. You gotta get out of that AoE fast or you get pinned. If you’re there with a buddy, no problem… but obvs playing on your own, just gotta be fast. As far as I know, that’s the only pin mechanic in there. Hope that helps.

i been making it to ark 5 alone then bam usually a boss that kicks my arse lol now i see what im doing wrong after that i need so switch out to survivability change up the armor and skills
Alchemy and Armory stations would be nice. Pro tip though: you can port out and use your Armory assistance so long as you’re back within 10 minutes. I’m not 100% sure of the time limit, but it definitely works.
Yes advice is spot on but theres no solid advice as to when you should change up. Ive tried just wearing the tanky build from beginning but yes makes it slow, my best solo though is 3-2-2 in tanky set up, just not enough damafe to get the marauder dead. I have mixed opinions about IA i like it but the idea of needing multiple builds to get through it makes it frustrating. I guess i could dedicate one player to this and have multiple builds but then u lose out on farming other class sets. Of course have yet to use the gear from there
zos and their obsession with forced grouping; they really need to stop it. thanks for the advice, personally i only do the archive when i'm forced to for daily/weekly endeavors.
Obviously. But that's not scaling. That's like saying the AOEs deal twice the damage because 2 people can stand in them! Listen, don't take it up with us - go read what the devs have actually said (repeatedly) or just TEST it duo and solo for as long as it takes you to realise you made an honest mistake.
I mean I run one set up with a 2 man run and do arc 10 in 2 hours no deaths arc 20 in 5 hours no deaths. Side note I don't think you should do it this way solo
I play on Xbox. There are two Infinite Archive achievements you can get on the Xbox. I love getting xbox achievements. One is getting to Arc 4, and the other is beating Arc 4. First time I did it was with a friend. His achievements pinged; mine did not. I have done it solo a couple of times. Still no achievements. Have done it with other friends, and different characters. Still no achievements. I have put in bug reports to both ZoS and Xbox. ZoS just tells me about the IN GAME achievements, so I feel like I am not even speaking the correct language to them. Since I will never get this, it seems, I have no reason to ever try any more. I just do one Arc now, get the daily, and get out. The rest of it is just wasted time.
I wish they would drop random yellow trial, dungeon, pvp gear at extremely low drop rates with increasing % as you went higher. Would be nice for solo and duo players who don't trial much to be able to fill sticker books if they became great at the archive. There isn't really a reason to play archive vs. other content, which is probably the main problem. If there was incentive to do the different builds, organize it, spend hours on it...but there just isn't.
Hmm, careful with Serpent’s Disdain. When you look at how status effects work it’s not very good at all for IA. Make sure to test and analyse the results to be absolutely sure before you go recommending it.
I don't like IA one bit. Ive gone up to arc 7 if that matters, I would have preferred if we had 2 options - one arena in which adds just spawn all the time or bosses one after another like in devil may cry. Glad people enjoy it tho, I do the daily now and thats it.
I’m in a similar position. I’m rarely motivated to solo more than 1-3 Arcs, so I’ve mostly been doing the daily. But it IS way more fun with a friend, and Maya and I will definitely be going a little more often after the U43 changes.
idk the game mode just doesnt seem impactful, IMO they missed the mark thematically. I would like to have seen some better visual progression in terms of moving through the infinite archive, its so idk generic looking. What I'm trying to get at is that this mode was meant to be something that we could sink hours and hours into without getting bored but for me its just not hitting, AT ALL.
I'm with you on the sets, but there's loads more stuff in IA. The Style Pages alone are worth it for most players, plus all the unique furnishings and collectibles, not to mention that it's one of the fastest ways to make gold. And it's excellent practice.

Honestly infinite archives isn't for everyone just like vet content isn't for everyone or PvP isn't for everyone. I don't want to have to swap around 2 to 4 different sets of gear and weapons just to get through it. Quite frankly that's more trouble than it's worth to me so I might mess with the first couple of levels and then I leave.
I have never done that archive thing, because its Idea is taken from mobile mmos. Like Black Desert mobile with its Tower of Trials. Every single mobile mmo has it. So that's why in my opinion ZOS don't give a fuck about its costumers, it's feels so copy paste.
Yeah, I was similarly sceptical when they announced it. I would much rather have continued getting 4 x dungeons a year, but IA is growing on me for sure. Not saying you'd have the same reaction if you tried it, but it's better than you think.
I never say you have to group up - I provide tips on how to make either work. The fact that it’s designed for 2 is something from the devs, not me. I’m just trying to help folks that struggle to get through. You do you. It is an MMO so it is occasionally fun playing with others. 😜

Sooo no. Still don't see the benefit of doing harder longer stuff when the earlier parts can be re-run multiple times for equal reward. Adding extra gear sets to inventory (and also the bank which is over-full) and resetting when a specific verse isn't gotten... and there is still no way to pause to address real life. Interesting to watch, even if it's to confirm the hard no on later levels.
It's not a 'hard no' for me personally, but I kinda agree with you. If you can do Arcs 1-4, you've basically seen everything. But at the start of the video I say that this is a response to people complaining that it takes too LONG to get through those early Arcs. My answer: if you wanna go fast, build for it.
Many good starting sets are craftable, joining a guild will also help immensely. Also Ninja was talking about "setups", that means also skill, not just equipment. You can slot trash-oriented skills during Arc 1-3 and more defensive skills/self-heals for Arc 4+ Bosses don't have a lot of HPs in lower Arcs, you can stick with the same setup you use for the Stages.
I love run Infinite Archive [for me will be Endless always] cuz it is fun, i like the bosses and the different ambients but i can just made till Arc 2. After that, like a NON PARSER/WEAVER solo player, to me is impossible go beyond. The main issue about Elder Scrolls Online end game content will be always all the designs are made around fast burn builds and those builds require the hellish parser/weaver dps technic. We all know that thing. ZoS tried to hide it barely but it is just the worst hidden secret in all TESO. I don't rant about it, i accepted the game as is. But IA [EA] is just another one fast burn dd TESO content. My respect to you Ninja but please DON'T LIE TO PEOPLE. IA [EA] after ARC 2 is just like the Vet Trials and Vet Trials HM: you need the perfected meta set versions, the perfect build with the perfect food/drinks and high dps burn. That means is just another bad ZoS design cuz you have ONLY ONE WAY TO CONQUER IT. Any game that requier from gamers pass hours and hours trying to get high dps in a dummy atronach is a bad design. Thanx Azura i can solo many end game things alone including some trial first bosses in normal but trying personalized alt build versions and wacko boss kittings technics using their whole arena spaces. That keep me playing TESO but many player just quit the game and go to play another games.
No need for perfected sets at all. Perfected sets just add a negligible bonus to the mix, they are for minmaxer players and score pushers. You can reach Arc 4 easily with a friend if you just play defensively and remap your skills based on which visions you got. It's not a matter of "burst damage" it's a matter of quickly react and adapt to situations. The only thing that veteran players will do probably better than you is : taking less time to reach an Arc. The reason is that they will better know how optimize their combat style dynamically (by focusing elite mobs first, interrupt mechanics and group everyone for max AOE damage) but that would not mean you will not improve by playing and become experienced too. The only way to become a better player is playing, don't let these thoughts to hinder your fun. :)
Hey - thanks for the comment. I hear you, but it sounds like you've been given some bad info. Even the final evolution of the IA endboss can be beaten with crafted sets. No problem. If you want help we'd be happy to oblige - we've run a teaching guild for years and regularly see the amazing difference a little good advice can make. Join the Discord and reach out to me (Kaan). It's great that ESO gets out of our way and let us play how we want, but it also creates misconceptions. So please, check your facts and don't call us liars - we work extremely hard to be the exact opposite.
I just used heavy attack builds solo through arc 3...just used a self heal, and dps set up. If I cared to get all the sets, eso plus, and have a bunch of sets that match focus I am sure I could make it to 5 but it would take so long and there isn't a reason. Heavy attack builds are really good for IA. I put shitty ESO on an external harddrive...I hate it so much and then just do laggy, low input HA builds. Works for most content.
what the hell am I reading, just take a solid pvp set with craftable sets and dungeon sets and you're going to beat the archive just fine. Just yesterday I've beaten it using the Belharza mythic with a friend, and we went to arc 7 with it, without mentioning that I was top dps out of the two of us. I don't say that to brag, I just say it to basically say that you can easily go in the archive for hours if only you have a well established build, you don't need the meta or raid stuff, just use sets that pairs well together, that gives you armor and hp and you're good to go. The only thing you really need in archive is quick reflexes and perfect understanding of your character, anyone can beat the archive with whatever sets and skills they want as long as you understand the game and its mechanics. Just to say, have a pvp build and be good in pvp, the moment you do that, archive is going to be the easiest content there is in eso and even if you're not good at pvp, anyone can beat the archive.

I am a quite competitive player and Im sure I would have a lot of fun playing archive and trying to get to the higher ranks and onto the leaderboard, but wasting a couple of hours playing Arc 1-5 every. single. time. (even with a glass canon setup it takes time) over and over again before it even starts to become a little more challenging just isnt fun.
I have to min-max to play IA? I suppose some may like that, but it is not compelling for me.

You should at least try it with a companion tank, it really makes a difference from running it solo.
My highest solo was 6 3 3 on Stam arc. Definitely need a hybrid build but also focused efforts x3 or 4

Haha! Fair enough. I wouldn’t worry about setups for each boss. Trash and boss setup is nice, but mostly just focus on damage in the first couple of Arc and then add more survivability as you go.

You just have to do it old school. Maybe switch things up once you get into Arc 3, up to you. At least there’s no timer in there! Good luck.
how is the Breton racial passive for IA? being able to double the spell resistance seems pretty strong and might let you build more into damage for late stages.
If you're already a Breton then sure. But the resistance cap is easy enough to hit without that passive, and it won't do much when you're attacked with Martial damage! But yeah, it looks like you're thinking along the right lines.

yeah, I started playing last decemeber whole game and went to maelstorm instantly as I got there. few runs on normal then vet. I was so hit by a donkey to the face on the poison arena. then few weeks brake, and maybe 5 runs later, flawless by accident ;p but yeah, there you just have to remember to breathe and do mechs. I think IA is a bit more laid back since you can bring a friend. but anyway, point was, you'll get there! just remember to breathe! :D
Try sorc with the teleport/ jump ability. That helped me a ton getting through the ice and poison arena. The rest after that is easy.

Im currently top 10 in u42 Solo for all classes except Templar for IA, heres how I progress:
Arc 1-2 or 3: Standard DPS build. Its basically vet dungeon content level. When you switch is class dependent. I personally use an Oaken Heavy attack build on all classes for this, but everything works. If you can do vet dungeons without a dedicated healer, you can do this with ease. Be self-sufficient. (Hot + Shield works, Example for Sorc, Hardened + Crit Surge, or DK with Bone Shield + Dragon Blood, or a scribe shield)
Arc 3-5: Swap to Heavy armor/Protective jewelry/Defensive Blue CP as needed.
Heavy armor is key, you need to basically max out or near max out your armor (33.5k) values with buffs on. Damage is no longer a major issue since you should have 1-2 Focused Efforts and other Atro key passives to ramp damage up. Increasing use of Line of Sight to ramp up damage is also key, so is mobility.
Arc 6+ is about just going through the motions. Every class is a bit different, you will die to Maras no matter how good/solo you are (Unless running a Perma-Shell DK, which is soooo boring) or the occasional stupid Boss. Arc 9+ is pure luck with maras/arena selection and bosses. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.
A protip for Maras, if you have full Atros pop a utility mystery verse. Sometimes you can get the Atro transform from this. When it works, its amazing! Also sometimes you get the taunt eye which also helps. A good timing on this can get you past the Arc 8+ Mara and give you another +1 Arc to your record.
Edit: Protip 2, Strategic Reserve is a great survival tool. Can't built and use ults if you're dead and ultimately they dont do much damage. Plus you can make use of the +45% health recovery verse for insane (5k+) Health recovery for basically nothing. At 5k thats 2.5k health/second.
Protip 3: There is a limited amount of time you can port out of IA and go back without a reset. You can use this time to respec your attribs into health or even make a quick set/enchantment change if needed, or even use the armory (some of my chars have 2 IA slots. Early and Late arc builds). Just be quick about it. This may be unintended and changed in the future. Im always popping out and changing things around, sets, enchantments, etc as needed. IA rewards flexibility and experimentation. Use it.

Arc 6-7 and often 8 marauders can be tanked even on partial tank builds, also non dk (magma shell). After that you want to kite them around with high mobility until they start doing the abilities with long animations. Then spam some focussed efforts boosted skills. The real RNG is whether or not the map you are in in arc 8+ is very small when you get a marauder. When you can barely get out of the marauder's melee range and all the trash is chewing through your resources while you block the marauder, there's nothing to be done but magma shell

@@NinjaPulls I generally refer to the frames of the base game (press "F5" and press "T") that can overlap with those from the addons. How did you manipulate the three? They are always up on the video, almost all the time.
I have troubles when dealing with the lower right corner, where multiple frames lay.
Great Advice! My stam Arc is carrying 3 extra sets and 3 extra monster sets and 2 different Mythics.. not to mention the sets he has on. It IS overly ambitious of me, as I don't get much past arc 5 before my hands start hurting to much to continue... but one day!

Lol... I Just watched the part where you're fighting in Arc 2. I can't wait to post the evidence I have, of what I think is.... well, I won't spoil the fun. Let's just say this- my runs? Look nothing like your runs.
Make no mistake, I'm not claiming Meta status or anything like it. I'm a solo player, disabled, who can't really run dungeons with others, because it wouldn't be fair to them, me running off to be sick every so often. I'm missing a few pieces I really need, and keep hoping for a day I might feel better so I can do this, or to find more friends, because many have left ESO in the past couple of years.
All that said, however, I've been a gamers all my life- I've gotten to are 2.4, but usually get blasted by the trash mobs at that point. I did figure out on my own, however, as I do all things, that I'd need to have another set with me- I mean, had to be some reason they brought in that Armory station, right? So that's not a real issue for my anymore.
There are two things that are- And I believe both are related? But I just find it hard to believe that I'm RIGHT. See, I'm no whiner. I'm no conspiracy theorist. But when something happens time and time and time again, over a period of 6 months and more? Well, I kinda have to believe it's NOT me doing something wrong, (although there's still much to learn, even after 9 years).
When I get my videos posted, which will take some time still? I'd love your opinion, and all others, on what they see. I refuse to bring in any biases? So when I post them, I'll do just that- no fanfare, no talking about it. Just videos, many of them, showing what happens when I'm playing IA. The side quest Bosmer fight. Beaten the first one. And only gotten close to beating the 2nd one, ONCE, in maybe 200 attempts. Not being able to get my Vision buffs, is obviously part of the problem I'm having. But it's like something is intentionally not allowing me to finish that lady off- (down to 20%).
I can get the first crystal, the first Mind Terror, and get both her & the 2nd crystal down to about 50%. Then? All hell breaks loose. I have so many vines & other mobs, but can still stay alive until?
I get PINNED to the ground, unable to move, get swarmed, dead. No blocking can help. No Roll/Dodge. It will grab me mid-roll-dodge and pin me. I see nothing to block. There's just a white light that grabs me, and it's game over. Even if full health, shields. Same thing, over & over again. It's not the Mind Terror, as I don't see one in the video while I'm fighting the 2nd crystal.
In fact, none of the videos show anything doing that action. I thought maybe there was just some glitch in my system, by it happens on my 2nd account as well. Same X-box, different accounts. Same "pinning". Just as it seems I'm going to beat it? PINNED. As you might guess, it's getting to the point of wanting to quit myself. Without that upgrade to visions? I double I can get much further than 2.4.
Sorry this is such a book, but explanations take words, and I wanted to be as clear as I could.

That sounds like the mind terrors. You gotta get out of that AoE fast or you get pinned. If you’re there with a buddy, no problem… but obvs playing on your own, just gotta be fast. As far as I know, that’s the only pin mechanic in there. Hope that helps.

i been making it to ark 5 alone then bam usually a boss that kicks my arse lol now i see what im doing wrong after that i need so switch out to survivability change up the armor and skills

I would play it more if they just had an armory station we could use in there ;/ or if we could use the assistant even better
Alchemy and Armory stations would be nice. Pro tip though: you can port out and use your Armory assistance so long as you’re back within 10 minutes. I’m not 100% sure of the time limit, but it definitely works.

Ive tried just wearing the tanky build from beginning but yes makes it slow, my best solo though is 3-2-2 in tanky set up, just not enough damafe to get the marauder dead. I have mixed opinions about IA i like it but the idea of needing multiple builds to get through it makes it frustrating. I guess i could dedicate one player to this and have multiple builds but then u lose out on farming other class sets. Of course have yet to use the gear from there

You are wrong. If you are solo there is less NPCs in between arenas, for example. So solo and duo fights differ from one another

Obviously. But that's not scaling. That's like saying the AOEs deal twice the damage because 2 people can stand in them! Listen, don't take it up with us - go read what the devs have actually said (repeatedly) or just TEST it duo and solo for as long as it takes you to realise you made an honest mistake.

I mean I run one set up with a 2 man run and do arc 10 in 2 hours no deaths arc 20 in 5 hours no deaths. Side note I don't think you should do it this way solo
I play on Xbox. There are two Infinite Archive achievements you can get on the Xbox. I love getting xbox achievements. One is getting to Arc 4, and the other is beating Arc 4. First time I did it was with a friend. His achievements pinged; mine did not. I have done it solo a couple of times. Still no achievements. Have done it with other friends, and different characters. Still no achievements. I have put in bug reports to both ZoS and Xbox. ZoS just tells me about the IN GAME achievements, so I feel like I am not even speaking the correct language to them. Since I will never get this, it seems, I have no reason to ever try any more. I just do one Arc now, get the daily, and get out. The rest of it is just wasted time.
We did it to farm the sets, styles and for fun!
I wish they would drop random yellow trial, dungeon, pvp gear at extremely low drop rates with increasing % as you went higher. Would be nice for solo and duo players who don't trial much to be able to fill sticker books if they became great at the archive. There isn't really a reason to play archive vs. other content, which is probably the main problem. If there was incentive to do the different builds, organize it, spend hours on it...but there just isn't.
So I have to buy a armorer or skill respec scrolls. Cool
You can just use the armoury. Most guilds will have it in their hall.

Hmm, careful with Serpent’s Disdain. When you look at how status effects work it’s not very good at all for IA. Make sure to test and analyse the results to be absolutely sure before you go recommending it.

I don't like IA one bit. Ive gone up to arc 7 if that matters, I would have preferred if we had 2 options - one arena in which adds just spawn all the time or bosses one after another like in devil may cry. Glad people enjoy it tho, I do the daily now and thats it.
I’m in a similar position. I’m rarely motivated to solo more than 1-3 Arcs, so I’ve mostly been doing the daily. But it IS way more fun with a friend, and Maya and I will definitely be going a little more often after the U43 changes.
idk the game mode just doesnt seem impactful, IMO they missed the mark thematically. I would like to have seen some better visual progression in terms of moving through the infinite archive, its so idk generic looking. What I'm trying to get at is that this mode was meant to be something that we could sink hours and hours into without getting bored but for me its just not hitting, AT ALL.
Just give me focused efforts.

Here’s the best tip for ia, just dont do it there’s nothing worth it at all you can get everything from IA anyway else (except the trash ia sets)
I'm with you on the sets, but there's loads more stuff in IA. The Style Pages alone are worth it for most players, plus all the unique furnishings and collectibles, not to mention that it's one of the fastest ways to make gold. And it's excellent practice.

Honestly infinite archives isn't for everyone just like vet content isn't for everyone or PvP isn't for everyone. I don't want to have to swap around 2 to 4 different sets of gear and weapons just to get through it. Quite frankly that's more trouble than it's worth to me so I might mess with the first couple of levels and then I leave.

I have never done that archive thing, because its Idea is taken from mobile mmos. Like Black Desert mobile with its Tower of Trials. Every single mobile mmo has it. So that's why in my opinion ZOS don't give a fuck about its costumers, it's feels so copy paste.
Yeah, I was similarly sceptical when they announced it. I would much rather have continued getting 4 x dungeons a year, but IA is growing on me for sure. Not saying you'd have the same reaction if you tried it, but it's better than you think.
Personally I think they need to give us the fifteen lives like Vateshran and Maelstrom

I never say you have to group up - I provide tips on how to make either work. The fact that it’s designed for 2 is something from the devs, not me. I’m just trying to help folks that struggle to get through. You do you.

Sooo no. Still don't see the benefit of doing harder longer stuff when the earlier parts can be re-run multiple times for equal reward. Adding extra gear sets to inventory (and also the bank which is over-full) and resetting when a specific verse isn't gotten... and there is still no way to pause to address real life. Interesting to watch, even if it's to confirm the hard no on later levels.
It's not a 'hard no' for me personally, but I kinda agree with you. If you can do Arcs 1-4, you've basically seen everything. But at the start of the video I say that this is a response to people complaining that it takes too LONG to get through those early Arcs. My answer: if you wanna go fast, build for it.

Many good starting sets are craftable, joining a guild will also help immensely.
Also Ninja was talking about "setups", that means also skill, not just equipment.
You can slot trash-oriented skills during Arc 1-3 and more defensive skills/self-heals for Arc 4+
Bosses don't have a lot of HPs in lower Arcs, you can stick with the same setup you use for the Stages.

I love run Infinite Archive [for me will be Endless always] cuz it is fun, i like the bosses and the different ambients but i can just made till Arc 2. After that, like a NON PARSER/WEAVER solo player, to me is impossible go beyond. The main issue about Elder Scrolls Online end game content will be always all the designs are made around fast burn builds and those builds require the hellish parser/weaver dps technic. We all know that thing. ZoS tried to hide it barely but it is just the worst hidden secret in all TESO. I don't rant about it, i accepted the game as is. But IA [EA] is just another one fast burn dd TESO content. My respect to you Ninja but please DON'T LIE TO PEOPLE. IA [EA] after ARC 2 is just like the Vet Trials and Vet Trials HM: you need the perfected meta set versions, the perfect build with the perfect food/drinks and high dps burn. That means is just another bad ZoS design cuz you have ONLY ONE WAY TO CONQUER IT. Any game that requier from gamers pass hours and hours trying to get high dps in a dummy atronach is a bad design. Thanx Azura i can solo many end game things alone including some trial first bosses in normal but trying personalized alt build versions and wacko boss kittings technics using their whole arena spaces. That keep me playing TESO but many player just quit the game and go to play another games.
No need for perfected sets at all.
Perfected sets just add a negligible bonus to the mix, they are for minmaxer players and score pushers.
You can reach Arc 4 easily with a friend if you just play defensively and remap your skills based on which visions you got.
It's not a matter of "burst damage" it's a matter of quickly react and adapt to situations.
The only thing that veteran players will do probably better than you is : taking less time to reach an Arc.
The reason is that they will better know how optimize their combat style dynamically (by focusing elite mobs first, interrupt mechanics and group everyone for max AOE damage) but that would not mean you will not improve by playing and become experienced too.
The only way to become a better player is playing, don't let these thoughts to hinder your fun. :)
Hey - thanks for the comment. I hear you, but it sounds like you've been given some bad info. Even the final evolution of the IA endboss can be beaten with crafted sets. No problem. It's great that ESO gets out of our way and let us play how we want, but it also creates misconceptions. So please, check your facts and don't call us liars - we work extremely hard to be the exact opposite.
I just used heavy attack builds solo through arc 3...just used a self heal, and dps set up. If I cared to get all the sets, eso plus, and have a bunch of sets that match focus I am sure I could make it to 5 but it would take so long and there isn't a reason. Heavy attack builds are really good for IA. I put shitty ESO on an external harddrive...I hate it so much and then just do laggy, low input HA builds. Works for most content.
what the hell am I reading, just take a solid pvp set with craftable sets and dungeon sets and you're going to beat the archive just fine. Just yesterday I've beaten it using the Belharza mythic with a friend, and we went to arc 7 with it, without mentioning that I was top dps out of the two of us. I don't say that to brag, I just say it to basically say that you can easily go in the archive for hours if only you have a well established build, you don't need the meta or raid stuff, just use sets that pairs well together, that gives you armor and hp and you're good to go. The only thing you really need in archive is quick reflexes and perfect understanding of your character, anyone can beat the archive with whatever sets and skills they want as long as you understand the game and its mechanics.
Just to say, have a pvp build and be good in pvp, the moment you do that, archive is going to be the easiest content there is in eso and even if you're not good at pvp, anyone can beat the archive.
