We have to tell you guys the truth. We've now officially hit the 90-day mark in our travels! We are officially full-time travelers/travel vloggers now and we have to tell you the truth about full-time travel. So far, we explored Mexico and Guatemala, and then we came back to the US for a bit. Finally, we went to Japan, South Korea, Bhutan, and Thailand! While we absolutely love traveling, the one thing we miss the most is our family.
We will cover some topics about our family, the countries we visited so far, and - one of the most important topics - the cost of full time travel and if it's cheaper than living in New York.

Interesting to hear about your experience in Korea. I used to live there. You are right though they are really upfront with their feelings. They don’t know how to beat around the bush haha.
Very different from the Japanese, even though the two countries are so similar in other ways. The Japanese won't tell you to your face what they are really thinking; if they don't like you, you'll find it out later in a passive-aggressive way. TBH, I think I prefer the Korean frankness.

I think in Korea, people take more time to loosen up to other cultures. They are
generally reticent and will need time in that respect. Glad to see you both in general good spirits, but home is home and you'll miss that sense of belonging. Stay safe 🙏
Hello lovely couple!! Great to see you guys living your best lives. When we moved to Spain last year it really hit is too after a few months when we had to give up our US cell phones but in my case my closest family lives in Spain so I'm the opposite of you guys in that regard but my husband's family lives in the US and it's hard being far away. However, we wouldn't change our decision to move and plan on visiting the US family every year. As you said, it's so expensive to live in the US and quality of life is not the same. Looking forward to more videos of your travels. Thanks for keeping us posted!

Great video very informative I would love to see the Japan videos because you are traveling for a year. The reason you now realized this because you both spent so much time with both your parents and they spoil you so you are semi dependent on their cooking etc.
@Avri I’m from Jersey City and yes it is expensive to live.
It got worse since we left. We lived downtown and they have raised the taxes so high and we can't see where it's going.

Interesting share about Japan. I lived there for some time and visited Korea as well and had the opposite experience to yours. In Japan all eyes were on me but in Korea it was free flow so for me Korea 100% Japan, not so much.
So I guess the saying that each experience is different holds true.
Yep! Absolutely. I can't comment on living in any of the two countries as we only visited each for 2 weeks. I think living, working, and integrating into society would be a completely different experience. I have mixed feelings about South Korea. I would love to visit again but the stares just made me uncomfortable.

I don’t think Korea is racist I think they are not familiar with seeing interracial couples and blacks a lot and that’s the same in the US, Europe you will find similar reaction ppl looking. In the Amish town in PA there’s no blacks there at all. My friend daughter went there in college as an AA enjoyed it and went back to Korea several times and Japan.. It getting more tourist visits more there especially with people of color (as you put it) I saw a YT Korean mom with kids who husband is black says the same that some people in Korea at first reaction was more curious until they started to interact. I watch many YT who are black in Korea. I definitely respect your experience there maybe you needed to spend more thine there I think they feel the same way when they come here to the US they are treated a certain way as well. Great video
(Avri) I would have to disagree. We traveled to Bhutan right after Korea and Japan. You probably haven't heard of Bhutan (maybe you have) and it's because this country was very unknown to the West. This country is so closed off that they got their first television and internet access in 1999. They see like 2-3 black people a year if that, not to mention an interracial couple. Their response to us was completely different. No one stared awkwardly at us, no mean looks.
I felt like I was in my home country.
Bhutanese people purely welcomed us and had no prejudgement. This country doesn't have many visitors.
South Korea has seen more tourists from all different parts of the world this year alone than Bhutan has seen since they opened their doors to tourism ....
Out of curiosity I did a quick Google search and about 3.2 million people visited South Korea last year. Since 1995 to 2019 only about 1.5 million tourists has visited Bhutan to date. Let's say this was accurately reported and it could be about 2 million people
It begs the question why such a different response? Anyways I had a great time in Korea, I was with Simas so I felt safe and towards the end of the trip I met a few nice Koreans so like anywhere else... not everyone is the same.
But dont you think 2 intelligent folks would know the difference between curiousity or interest in seeing a interracial couple, and folks that are mean and racist? Seriously??🙄
While you are both on your traveling experience. I would suggest that you add Cairo and Luxor in Egypt 🇪🇬 to your list. You will see the Obelisk ( Washington Monument )
The Obelisk in France 🇫🇷 was taken from Luxor Egypt FYI. You can tell because it has HIROGLYPHICS written on it's sides.
We do plan to travel to this part of the world in general but we might wait a bit and see if things "cool down" a bit, especially considering that Egypt shares a border with Israel and Palestine. But it's on our list for sure
