You guys have me here bawling! I had abnormal cells as well in my early 20s. However my result was negative. But the fact that I went through that procedure and the possibility of cancer was tough. And all the other procedure and surgeries that I go through was a journey but I am still here thanking God for his grace and mercy. I lived to see both my boys turned into adults 30 and 24 and I am forever grateful. Enjoy yourself and give thanks for each day.
This is the sad reality for a lot of persons living in the US especially minorities - lack of insurance! I went without for a long time and finally got a job where they obliged to my asking for it due to my being worried about my not been able to see a doctor in years. Got it in the nick of time to save my life! Like you, I got diagnosed with precancerous cells on my cervix! Leep was done immediately and it was a success! It saved my life! It’s been over 15 years and all Pap smears since been negative! Thanks to God and my employer who was sympathetic to my concerns regarding my health when I asked her and family for insurance and was given it JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME! I did already had 2 sons but didn’t have to die before seeing them grow into the accomplished gentlemen they are! I’m now retired young (early 50s) living my best life in my dream home that I built from scratch in Jamaica! I’m praying for the same result for you, Avri! You shall live and not die to proclaim the glory of the Lord! Your children will be raised up and call you blessed! Trust God and live!
From 5000 to 200 😮. I am so happy for both of you. Good report even though I didn't quite understand much of what the doctor said, but, the happiness you both showed is a good report in itself. Thanks for sharing Avri. God bless you both ❤😊
The same exact procedure. We checked in Costa Rica, another country with great doctors and the price was $300 but we went with Mexico because we knew and trust our Doctor there.
So happy to hear the news. My mom had stage 3d cervical cancer and it was only by the grace of God that she survived. Thank God for new technology. I have dysplasia on my cervix so I'm always having to get it checked. I pray that you remain healthy and cancer free.
Wow you guys have been on a rollercoaster. Tears welling up, seeing Simas' love for you Avri, taking your hand. So relieved you are okay beautiful being. Someone here suggested a second opinion, sounds wise. Big love to you both, enjoy a world of happiness together ❤
Avri, I agree 💯. I am a breast cancer surviver n I caught it at stage 3 which 4- 5 is almost unyo death. So I encourage person's now everyday get screened. It's 10 years since n I'm grateful to God. Stay strong stay positive. Be proactive ❤
So happy you're being smart with your health and this was found at CIN before full blown cancer. My grandma died while my mom was basically a baby from cervical cancer so I didn't meet her. As such, I finally took the plunge and did my first Pap smear this year. Thankfully I'm still A-OK. Best wishes and cheers to a great & long life
🎉After the storm...God is in the driver's seat if our lives. I happy that the report turned out good. Continue to monitor. Thanks for sharing and Simas, thanks for being a wonderful support for Avri.😊
I am glad you are ok. Kindly rest as much as possible. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Exercise as well. Follow up on your checks as schedule. Stay stable. Curb your traveling unless you are going to your doctors. What you did for your father was wonderful. You are a kind spirit. God bless.
Thank you for sharing Avri. I am so happy you have good news. I have been procrastinating with my health since Covid. You have provided me with a wake up call. Thanks again, and God bless you and Simas!🙏😊💕
Ikr coz I don’t know what nonsense that Doctor told her smh. Back in 2014 when my pap came back abnormal my GYN scheduled my LEEP procedure within a matter of days, less than 1 week I had the surgery done and so far all have been well 🎉
Hello! Not the worst news… but I am glad for good report. I was a little concerned when I saw the title of your video. I am praying for your complete healing in your body and for healthy pregnancies and babies. God bless you both. Keep smiling!!😊❤️
Also I agree with you Avri. The doctors here in the USA sometimes dont want to sit with you and explain the side effects of the drugs they prescribed and other things. I dont trust them because of my experience with them. I honestly prefer my Jamaican doctors. Just prescribing medication is not always all the answers. SMH
I’m happy for the positive results. Cancer is not a death sentence, think positively tell ur mind and body what u desire and it will respond accordingly. Best wishes for u and Simas. Blessings!
I too have cervical cancer an found it early am ok now 4 years ago my whole world turned upside down thank goodness I found out early. Sending prayers an love to u
Sending prayers to you Avri for continued health and you Simas as well. I had the same experience. My Ob-gyn is super cautious and thorough. He performed two different procedures to make sure all abnormal cells were removed. He wasn't taking any chances. Had to do pap smear every 6 months for about two years. I am so happy you found a good doctor. Stay blessed.
Thank you for sharing. These thinks are never properly explained by some of these doctors. It is vital and important to ask questions and do your own reading.
Hey Avri and Siimus.I wish you all the best and I said a prayer for you both, that God will work out things. That was very kind of you to share that Information, which will benefit others having similar situation. Cheers!
I glad all is well! I am 65 and have not missed a pap since 16 or mammogram since 39. When I was 35-36 my pap showed abnormal pre-cancerous cervical cells. My doctor ordered and scheduled and performed. 3 consecutive biopsies one every 6 months for 18 months. The 3rd one was all clear and I never had another issue. Thankful I had a great doctor!
Avri I felt it as brought back same memories for when my daughter had abnormal cells soon after she gave birth. She was given laser treatment and then went back 6 months for another test until it was clear, then test every year after. I thought they should say leave it for 6 months to see if it rectify itself, not 2 years, if not, then laser treatment to rid the abnormal cells. I'm surprised they did not suggest that. After 10 years then went back to testing from 1 year to 3 years. Follow your gut instinct or second opinion.
I HAD NO MENSTRUATION FOR 8.5 YEARS. 16 UPTO 24 YEARS OLD. I saw about as many as 8 different obgyn clinic every result was the same. I was told I'm health and have no problem other than A-secondary menorah. So they told me I can't have kids because I'm basically going through menopause. Lol I crying for years thinking that I will never become a mom. Stayed away from relationships and all. But then, later was told I have OVARIAN CANCER. It was stage 1 no chemotherapy or anything. After surgery, they recommended a hestorectomy which I declined. 4 months after healing. I was able to get pregnant. Even though half my right ovary was removed. I have 2 kids, 3 and 4 years old. It's sad to hear that but I trust God for everything and because I believe in Jesus I know all things is possible with Him by my side. Pray for healing and he will come through for you.
Thank God for the good news you have heard. Praise God. I have been through some rough times when i was you five ovarian surgery and ended up with out a child. Thank goodness for good doctors. Keep the faith 🙏
So happy to hear this news Avri. It's so important to keep on top of these smears, you never know what might happen or change. Your health is vitally important, ask for second opinions if thats what you feel is right. Make sure you get yours repeated in 6months please as the doctor suggested. What a worrying time you've been through. Take care and stay safe.🎊👍🙋👩❤️💋👨
Simas and Avri life is challenging. Glad you both approach things in a United front. Simas you’re looking good boy. Maturing and being there for your queen. Enjoy life.
Guys I literally was holding my breath. Woohhh I can breathe now. I’m so happy for the news. I wish you the best news in 6 months. I pray that all will be well. Simas love the support, love you guys God bless.
Avri, God is an awesome God. He is our way maker and our light in any darkness. He will see you thru this trying time, just hold on to your faith. Calling your name in prayer
I burst out bawling when Simas let out that sigh of relief 😢😢😢 I pray God work this all out for you sweetheart. Simas, thank you for standing with her through it all

Thank you Avril for sharing your journey with us. I applaud your bravery. Your willingness and unselfishness in expressing your story can save lives.I'm so happy for a positive diagnosis. I love and appreciate you and Simas ❤
Keep praying guys I'm happy for you guys and when your husband is standing beside you, you have the best support in the world lots of love to you both ❤️ ❤❤❤.
Some good news is welcome.. I'm so happy for you guys..i just love Simas even more he's right there toe to toe with you (you know what I'm talking about girl) blessings ❤️❤️🇯🇲🌻
So happy you were diligent with your Healthcare! I agree with you saying that WE have to take responsibility for ourselves. I, too, had cervical cancer, caught it early and did what needed to be done. I'm good and know you will be as well.
We all go through trails and tribulations to make us wiser and stronger. Right now I have to do a bone marrow biopsy to check for any blood cancer or bone cancer or autoimmune disease. I was recently told I have sickle cell disease, then MCAS (Mass Cell Activation Syndrome). The pain that I suffer day to day is sometimes very unbearable to me, but I will continue to be strong for myself and kids. I will keep you in my prayers Avri.
Happy for you Avri. Wishing you all the best going forward. You're right, we have to be our own health advocates and follow up with whatever information we can find on an adverse diagnosis on our own. We can't just sit back when they say there is an abnormal issue in our bodies, and we wait for something negative to happen. Google and find articles on preventative measures to follow a healthy diet to maintain a healthy body. I also had a Leap procedure as a much older female. I was told by a caring young female Dr. to eat less red meat and little meat on a whole and include all kinds of berries (blue, black, raspberry, etc.) and legumes in our diets as much as we can. Also eat organic where possible. Less than that can cause issues as females. Many doctors in this country do not advise most of us on how to prevent or maintain a healthy body they wait for it to go bad to try and fix it, unfortunately.
Thank you! I had to learn so much on my own (especially diet!), it's really sad it had to come to this. I'm glad I went abroad to look for better care. So sorry that you also had to do the same procedure.
You guys have me here bawling! I had abnormal cells as well in my early 20s. However my result was negative. But the fact that I went through that procedure and the possibility of cancer was tough. That doctor was crazy! Once a female has an abnormal Pap smear, a biopsy right away is very IMPORTANT!!! Happy you’re okay, God is good!!
Ikr coz I don’t know what nonsense that Doctor told her smh. Back in 2014 when my pap came back abnormal my GYN scheduled my LEEP procedure within a matter of days, less than 1 week I had the surgery done and so far all have been well 🎉
