For me this version is more interesting as original one, I think their voices are good together. But main point of their collaboration is mutual respect of one generation towards another one. Not bad for a 74 year old singer. This is the third time I've listened to this version and it has grown in me a bit more. Maybe it should have been arranged in a different way. That being said it's a great singer from the past and a new band from the present: music is beyond generations. Some people seem to overcriticise a bit too much. Irony is the essence of life. If one doesn't understand that, they will miss a good point in their existence.
Since you're enjoying Italian rock so much, I would recommend an artist that released their first album almost 30 years ago: Luciano Ligabue. "Eri Bellissima" and "Urlando contro il cielo" are gems

That ol' same machist approach to music, but Springsteen. at least, used to write great songs with a story, Ligabue's last interesting song is from over 20 years ago. So yes, his music, especially the recent productions, are quite rubbish. Don't ask people to waste their time reacting to something that no one cares about.

Here I think it would’ve been way better to leave Iggy’s voice natural without correction effects, because rawness and aggressiveness is what makes Iggy what he is! Iggy may go slightly out of tune, but that’s what makes him the badass, rock and hard punk rocker!
