- Miniature Railway Britain Episode 52 - Great Cockcrow Railway.
The famous Ian Allan Miniature Railway beside the M25.
We start above the M25 and jump in my Lada Riva for the short drive to Harkwick Central Station where we enjoy a trip behind Great Western Railway Hall Class No. 7915 Mere Hall.
During our journey we pass many other steam hauled trains including...
LNER K5 No. 206.
Great Western Railway Hall Class No. 7915 Mere Hall.
Southern Railway Q Class No. 30541. (The full size example can be seen at the Bluebell Railway).
LNER A3 No. 2744 Grand Parade. (Sister to 4472 Flying Scotsman).
Southern Railway S15 No. 837.
and
D1001 Western Pathfinder.

Oh boy magnificent handling of the Lada when parking! Split second thinking, I came, I saw I parked. I cannot do that in a power steered abs braked car. Never mind talking at the same time.
My father took me as a young boy early 80s. Long story - taken to NZ. Never been back sadly.
My memory is of blue line and yellow line tickets. Rectangular with nothing on them. Such a long time ago so how much can you trust that memory? I was there - that's 100% and it's my little dream to return, it's really time after around forty years.
Thank you for watching and sharing your memories! Happy Easter!
Looks a Good railway in length, I may pay it a visit as it's not to far from Watford. Great video, enjoyed it immensley.

It's some years since I went there, but now my grandchildren have grown up I haven't got an excuse to go there again! On the other hand, perhaps I don't need an excuse...

Was a normal running Sunday.

The hobby of model engineering needs more exposure. I'm sure there is a TV programme in the activities of model engineers, their lives and workshops.
I agree, there seems to be a big focus on model railways at the moment and righley so but in some cases Model Engineering is being overlooked. I'll keep visiting them and hopefully making more people aware of them.
