      The croc is very healthy and Australian Reptile Park maintains high welfare of their animals but clear water is unnatural for crocs and turtles and they prefer murky and muddy water. Unfortunately, this is a new fashion in crocodile and turtle displays at the moment. Mind you when the animal is used to it, it is not really a problem but if you have merky water you make the animal happier.

      God Almighty, the Creator was manifest in the flesh. He came into the world to take away the sin of the world. He gave up his own life to save yours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for your redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. This is the Gospel which means the Good News. Those that reject redemption will go to hell.
      1 John 1:8-10 KJV
      If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
      John 1:1-3,10 KJV
      In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
      Isaiah 44:6 KJV
      Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
      Revelation 1:17-18 KJV
      And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
      Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      Acts 4:12 KJV
      Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
      John 5:24 KJV

    Does anyone know how the crazy pressure doesn't break their own jawbone? Especially when crunching on one bone like that, would create a lot of point stress. Like I get that certain bones are stronger when compressed in a specific direction, but I feel most any bone would struggle not to break with 16,000N+ focused about such a tiny spot. Crazy feat of biology in an apex hunter I guess.

    • @anonosaurus4517
      @anonosaurus4517 2 года назад +22

      @HUMPTY I would think there's some truth. There has to be a stress-strain curve for the jawbone, with a variety of the curve that engineers learn about in school, and the jawbone behaves according to that curve when stress is applied to the bone. Most objects just can't push the bone beyond the plastic limit into permanent deformation. I imagine this might change if the object being bitten were especially hard but anything in nature will fail before the crocodile's jawbones do.

    • @prawn1717
      @prawn1717 2 года назад +16

      IIRC they have extra joints in their jaws that disperse the pressure more evenly in their mouths, making it manageable to withstand their own bite force as well as hold their jaws in place.

All the talk about pounds per square of pressure per inch doesn't quite show it as well as seeing the bone snap as the croc closes its jaws on it. Crocodiles wouldn't waste time licking on a Tootsie pop to get to the center. Crocs would just crunch right from the get go.
