@@paolopasaol9700 When people eat alligator and crocodile meat the meatiest part to eat is in the jaw. That alone tells you where most of their muscular strength is.
@HUMPTY I would think there's some truth. There has to be a stress-strain curve for the jawbone, with a variety of the curve that engineers learn about in school, and the jawbone behaves according to that curve when stress is applied to the bone. Most objects just can't push the bone beyond the plastic limit into permanent deformation. I imagine this might change if the object being bitten were especially hard but anything in nature will fail before the crocodile's jawbones do.

Statement: -"No one stands a chance of surviving those bone crushing jaws!"-
The crunch is so strong even it’s a big bone!
@@GoodBroGood pretty sure it could be even higher, Adam Britton has tested the bite force of another captive 15-foot saltwater croc, and he gets higher number at 4,500 PSI, Steve from BBC has measured the bite force of a 4,7 metre long saltwater crocodile using "Deadly Sixty's" device measurement at over 6,200 PSI of force! And the crocodile literally destroyed that device.
Crocs eat bones too?
Reminds me of Kettle potato chips 🤤. Great video 👍👍
What amazes me so much is the fact that I have seen multiple videos of people crushes bones under a hydraulic press and even then, it tends to struggle to crush the bones. Especially a bone of that size from the video. Very impressive and extremely scary of course. Would not wanna be anywhere near that reminiscence of a dinosaur.
That’s because bones tolerate vertical stresses much better than lateral ones. It’s the reason why they don’t break when supporting our weight
That was a pretty chunky bone. The force required to snap that like that would have been absolutely enormous.
Damn my teeth start hurting when i bite on chicken bone but this beast did it easily like he wasn't even trying
Why the fuck you bite chicken bones??
@@dionisis2487 wym?
@@dionisis2487 ya me too eat the ends and swallow the marrow
Mans crunched that bone like it was a werthers original
The sound of the bones cruching makes great ASMR
00:16 he was so gentle with that one :3
Why is it just a bone though? There's barely any meat left on that thing. What do they gain from eating just a bone?
I guess inside the bone there's the juicy bone marrow. Secondly, the Croc's stomach is very acidic, it can dissolve any bone without any problems.
Bone marrow and bone with calcium
Nothing is left to waste with these monsters. You have to remember they are also big time scavengers as well so they learned to adopt during rough times & that's what kept them around since the dinosaurs age.
Bone marrow. Bone marrow is incredibly nutritious and has a large amount of calories, making it very valuable for those who have the necessary tools, in most cases a strong mandible, to access it. The most known animal alongside the crocodile which possesses this trait is the Hyena
@@mirror857 actually the American Alligator has a stronger bite than a hyena
WOW!
Underrated facts: saltwater crocodiles are the largest non-marine extant carnivore and the main predator of humans in modern times 🐊🐊🐊
Listening through earphones was satisfying 🤣 but the power involved is insane
