I love how proud he is talking about him being a navy seal. It's so wholesome
I failed out of BUD/s due to hypothermia. I wound up becoming CSaR, instead. In turn, I wound up working alongside SEAL Team 8 during OIF and OEF. My experience has shown me that most Frogmen are like John. Laid back, super chill dudes who love what they do. All I can say is, I'm glad they're on our side!😂

At least it's not rap. I found that poem interesting. I could get lost in and around it for hours and hours. 20 mins of big butts, letting the dogs out or eminen killing his mother and I'd be bat shit crazy.

😅 I love that the torture track was Kipling. Growing up my grandfather (Naval pearl harbor veteran) lived with us and he would endlessly quote Kipling. I could recite the entirety of "the young British soilder" by the time I was 8. 😬😳 lol.

The poem from the navy sounds like that god awful song “they’re coming to take me away haha” which after listening to while completely 🍃🍃 out my box, scars me to this day. Not the same thing but understandable.

OMG thanks for the funny memory you triggered -- my sister and my daddy would sing that song in the car whenever it came on and I still know it by heart! I can still hear the very opening of it, where we'd hear it and exchange grins in the car before singing along. So thanks, we lost Daddy last July and I've been missing him a lot lately, so this put a big smile on my face.

Radio stations across the country banned the record after receiving complaints from doctors and institutions claiming that the song “hurt 17:18 their image.” After five weeks, the song dropped from the charts. I used to sing that song in high school in the 80’s after hearing it on Dr. Demento’s late night AM radio station program.

lmao, I remember my mum singing this to us as kids 🤣Probably because me and my siblings were being a nightmare. It's just dawned on me now how hilarious that realisation is. I have to say, being the wife of a Navy Chief, that little chuckle as he is telling the story and remembering is such a trademark of those kinds of stories from Sailors. Especially if they are telling about special training they have been through

Aw first time I've seen Mr ballen naturally laugh telling his experience of the navy training other than the dramatic sponsor ad giggles🤣❤️
I have a lot of anxiety which has been escalating recently, and yet I STILL watch mrballen almost every single day, you're just so great at telling stories and they're all so interesting! Just the Boots poem had me literally twitching from anxiety lol I had to look away from the screen because I couldn't listen to it AND look at that face at the same time, I was having a physiological reaction. Definitely the freakiest one of the 3 recordings, although the worst and saddest one was certainly the Jonestown audio
I also had to look away, both from that face and the one playing over the audio recording of the girl clearly speaking hoarsely to herself in her sleep. My anxiety is high, but my cynicism Kung fu is strong lol
Good to know. After hearing "Boots" I nearly closed the window thinking, yeah I'm not a Navy Seal and if they only get more unnerving then fuhgedaboudit...

The boots poem is genius because it was meant to mimic the torturing thoughts that would repeat through a soldier’s head as they go mad during weeks long marches, with no end in sight. Kipling captured it well, I assume, since it is used for torture trainings lol

The rhythmic lines of the poem are very effective. That should be pleasurable to the ear even if a tense atmosphere is invoked. I suppose listening to it over, and over would obviously be torturous, though. Honestly, I don't know if that is in insult, or a compliment to Kipling, but if he was trying to achieve a certain effect he succeeded.

I’m a chronic sleep talker and have recorded myself saying the craziest stuff in unrecognisable voices. My partner can attest to us being the only people in the room but you would swear I was talking to someone else and another person was replying

Oh my goodness me too! I use a sleep app that can record if I set it to. I’ve had full on convos with myself, in my sleep, different voices, and never remember a thing. Hearing it the next day is terrifying sometimes.

I agree 100% that voice was CLEARLY HER! Lol.. never just believe the "internet" experts.. that didn't even sound like a mam to me.. in my opinion, it just sounded like her only without the surprised expression in her voice.. there are MANY people that "sleep talk" or do weird stuff in their sleep and never know.. . it can happen out of no where and only go on for short amounts of time..or for years, especially during times of like extremely stressful times in your life or whatever.. I personally had it happen when I was applying for a job. I am a primatologist, and the job I was writing for or applying for was super competitive and was for a 6 month job in Cambodia for a television show..during that time I was talking in my sleep amd was getting out of bed and just doing random stuff and I never would have known if it wasn't for my ring door bell catching me going outside on night to sit on my porch lol after that I out a motion sensor camera in my bedroom to see what I was doing and i didnt actually get up THAT often, but i WAS talking. And i was having whole 2 soded conversations with myself, and even used a different VOICE when I was responding to myself.. it was SO WEIRD! I sure thought I was going crazy or something, lol. But once the whole work stuff settled down, that all stopped and hadn't done it since.. my opinion is that was her.

I remember Jocko read this poem in one of his early podcasts. The intensity in his voice was palpable. I thought it was just Jocko doing his thing, but knowing this takes it to another level.
So I was watching this video and was sick with a fever. I had fallen asleep just before the official torture song of the navy seals came on. It was a very unpleasant thing to wake up to.

i feel like Mrballen's facial expressions are underrated. when he's talking about something positive, his face kinda lights up and he smiles a bit, but when it's something serious, he steels his expression and it's a bit more somber. honestly every part about his videos exudes great storytelling capabilities.

Im rewatching every single mrballen video for a 3rd time. Cannot get enough
Ok this is absolutely true! So me n my partner listen to sleep meditations or binaural beats , every night. Well a few years ago he picked one when he went to bed and I stayed up for a few hours after. So I got to bed, I do my nightly meditation and prayers and the chants are peaceful.... Then out of nowhere this feel ass demonic voice starts like speaking in tongues, but like whisper yelling it and I started tearing up and felt TERRIFIED!!!!
moral of the story: make sure u really look into not only the person doing the meditation (read comments and such) but also go through it as well towards the middle part and make sure no little demon man starts spurting out curses to try some mind control/programming on u while you're peacefully sleeping!!!!

@@shanthanramsamy7421 they put you in a very small concrete room, setting on a small concrete slab. then the play that poem along with the sound of babies crying among other things. They deprive you of sleep and such with random trips to be abused. It's really gives you an idea of how bad it could be. But that nothing compared to being a real POW. Above all it gives you a look at who you really are. Good training.
The torture song starts off perfectly fine, but as it progresses I could feel a shiver going down my spine

I heard that the SAS had a torture training of hearing the sounds of cruely beating and the bloodcurdling screams of a baby... Heard it a long time ago.... Don't remember where from
That’s actually what I thought was so scary. It almost sounds relaxing, tricking you into a faux confidence.
There is a documentary on Jonestown and you got to see the actual photos and even some videos of the actual events. It was absolutely horrifying. He was one of the most psychotic people I've heard of in history. So crazy. And so crazy to see how many people blindly followed him to that extent.
When I’m falling asleep I sometimes have full conversations with people that aren’t there. I sort of imagine the other person being there and what they would say back. That’s what that 2nd story reminds me of. It didn’t sound like a man replying to her. It sounded like herself in a deeper tone.

I bet there was a person who was living in the house, maybe the attic or basement. Somewhere she didn't search or a previous owner/renter who had a key. Or possibly the landlord etc

He took a grenade blast close quarters, his team of fellow badasses got him home safe, he's truly one of the toughest men on earth. Same for all American special forces and a few others.

There were a few times I questioned if I heard a particular sound but then noticed my 2 cats erect and fixed on something I couldn't see. They would sit there not budging looking at the same spot for ten minutes. They're so hyper focused they're not breathing and neither am I. At that point I'm hoping it's a "ghost" and not someone prowling.

My son is in the Navy and went through SEAR training. I remember the first week was classroom stuff, the next week was outdoor training. Like, how to start a fire or kill an animal to eat etc. The night he got captured I felt it! I knew that was the day. All in all he lost 19 lbs that week because they don’t eat. It was horrible for me and him! As they say, the best training you never want to go through again! But he survived and is better for it! He just completed SWTI training and says that was the even tougher! Y’all our military is badass! Thank you sir for your service! 🇺🇸

Found the videos MrBallen does, only about a week ago. Can't stop watching, addiction has set in and I am scared of the DTs I will get when I watch them all haha. Also, after growing up a pastors son, hearing screaming preachers my whole life, including now, as at 48, I still go to church, so the first video, the sound didn't bother me at all haha. When I was a kid, dude sounded like the preachers I have heard growing up. Believe me, they were just as loud, if not more and could go on for hours at a time lol.

What is absolutely amazing in the second audio clip with the clicking is something that happened to me, the identical sound. I had a narcissistic boyfriend so decided to see what he was doing to me when I slept, so I put a camera in our bedroom. This clicking sound, identical to the one in the second clip, was heard in a lot of these playbacks. How extremely bizarre!!

I remember when hearing the same story before, that there was a fairly pertinent point that was only very briefly alluded to here. I believe in her original post, she divulged that she slept with a toddler, or very young child, in her bed with her. Knowing that, it becomes more than obvious that the "click" you can hear is actually more of a skin-on-skin "slap" or clapping sound.
It would then be perfectly rational to assume that the sound you hear is likely her child playfully "slapping" on her in order to get her attention. The voice(s) you hear are simply her sleep-mumbling whilst in a deeper state, exacerbated by her recent sleep deprivation. Any "expert" that would ever suggest something as categorically definite as to say that the sounds heard were impossible for her or her child to make, is either a terrible expert, or more likely, doesn't exist.
Sure, that's not as thrilling as saying it was ghosts or whatever, but honestly, which one is more likely to be reality?
