Missy's tragic case should be a grim warning to people never to give the whole wide world detailed information about your life - you never know who might take advantage of such intimate knowledge and want to harm you. RIP Missy.
Missy was a business woman that felt comfortable in her community and church family. That's why she had the information public. She was a beautiful woman with daughters, and she was also a blast to be around. She was one of my sister's best friends in highschool. I got to hang out with her so much. Absolutely loved her. It's so weird hearing a YT channel talking about someone you loved and knew personally.
I think police is suspectin her father in law or i dont know for sure now cuz i saw it long time ago but the way this person walks is identical with the way that relative walk
@@agetinakaseta7888 Exactly - that's a pretty distinct walk. I think he paid someone off, but that's just me. I never met the Father in Law, but did meet Missy's husband. They seemed to be a normal, Texan, loving family...plus, her husband never gave me any bad vibes either.

The granny ripper story is one that is the most terrifying. Because the killers you have to look out for are the ones who blend in naturally. These are the chameleons and they are aware of their situations and they use their charm to trick people into getting them close in order to deal the death blow.

@@hlf_coder6272 Um... I don't know how good your eyes are... but because she looks down and had her head covered I can't even clearly see her face on the camera footage of the staircase when she is carrying all those plastic bags outside... never mind seeing her eyes. Or are you talking about her in front of the cameras at around trial... if yes that was not what I was talking about. I talked about carrying everything down the stairs. Though even if she looked like she did in front of the press cameras I'd probably think she has a bit more severe dementia (probably even think it's the agressive kind) or something.
I was in Retail Management for 10+ years and you'd be surprised at the amount of little old ladies that will say hi and call you sweetie and still a shit ton three seconds later. Chameleons for sure.
She obviously grew up in the USSR my wife grew up in soviet Russia and she was warned numerous times to stay clear of any one who look aka well fed. She actually carried the fear into adulthood but she now knows that we have more then enough food in the U.S. I believe Cannibalism exists in North Korea to this day honestly which is proof communism doesn't work. But North Korea has gone through a number of Famines and after a while people will give into hunger. Just look at the Donner party for instance.
@@jamesforsyth418"to stay clear of anyone who look aka well fed." It seems like you left out a word or something before the "aka well fed." Usually aka follows a name or word. An example would be "to stay clear of anyone who looks healthy, aka well fed."
Yeah, squatters are always a possibility when exploring abandoned places. I'm sure that dude was just as, if not more scared of Dan than Dan was of him. Imagine, you're so screwed that you're sleeping in a damn abandoned kids asylum and wake up to someone stalking around. He was probably terrified, lol.
Asylums are also hot beds for explorer activity. I used to explore several of them on a daily basis for three years and more often than not we weren't the only group on the grounds and due to the illegal nature of what all parties are doing even best case scenario another explorer its illegal, worst case scenario a hostile criminal type on site for a plethora of reasons from barrel to hiding and I've seen some seriously professional Scrappers, heavily armed working sites before. So in general you try yo avoid running into the other groups and if its a single lone explorer not making much noise you find yourself peeking a round corners or listening at doors before entering a room to reduce probability of walking into the same room as a stranger. More than likely that's just another living human being trying to avoid dan or potentially stalking him whole time working up the nerve to play out a violent fantasy which is something I always worried about if I found a lone person walking around on a site I was already on with a group... Specially on closed community asylum properties with cemeteries and a morgue .... In three years the only squatters dens I found were always empty but I always kept extra food on hand and small booze bottles in case we found a wild card squatter which was our term for the ones released from those asylums and homelessness made their minds worse... They could be violent and dangerous but I always like to try and diffuse a situation with food and booze before taking someone's knees out with a full size mag lite. Its a very dangerous hobby a lot of people take on way too casually. The number of groups that go with out an on call complaint EMT is insane for example and most don't even take a basic medic pack or any tools useful for a quick rescue in case of collapses or even consider taking a self defense coarse before hand smh I mean you are literally walking into no mans lands in spaces that make facilitating gruesome crimes very easy and outside that just probability of accidents are greatly increased. My group also personally trolled a known local ghost hunting group with a blog. The amount of paranormal activity and satanic rituals they thought they found and documented on their blog but was us in the building with them the whole time is criminal lolol we would even find out where they were going and spend hours setting up fake satanic ritual rooms for them to find, one we painted random Latin words in neat lines around the whole room ceiling to wall and set up a fake sacrifice altar I mean these kids ATE IT UPPPPPP. My cheeks hurt recalling holding in giggles after slamming a door shut on the floor above them and listening to them speculate who or what that was. Good times. It might seem mean but we gave them the excitement they were after. Point is there are a lot of things both those clips could be that's NOT paranormal.
Yup. While watching the video I was thinking, "All the stories on this channel where some stranger comes into your house or campsite while you're sleeping and starts rummaging around, this must be what it looks like from the intruder's POV."
Dude use common sense. That was obviously a fking ghost. No squatter would live in a building like that. And if someone was walking around in it they wouldn't be hiding like that lol.
My childhood home was a really creepy house. I had a hole in my bedroom door. I can’t remember how exactly it got there. Something was hanging on it and us kids rough housing knocked a small hole in it. I was laying down once watching a movie and my door was closed but the hall light was on. I was home alone. I heard the front door open and close and a few seconds later that hole went black. I was nervous bc whoever or.. whatever was looking at me through the hole. Then it moved and I could see the light again. I got up maybe 2 or 3 seconds later to see who came home and no one was there. I walked around the whole house and went outside. No one was there. Still remember it like yesterday. It was scary. It was just like in the clip on this video. I left. I walked 2 miles to my grandmas house lol
I spent some time exploring abandoned places, mostly farms and barns. But one time my friends and I found an old asylum. It’s a totally different experience. You can FEEL the pain and fear that resided in those places, even years after everyone has gone.
There was this abandoned house by my friends where I grew up that was soo creepy. Even as kids before we knew anything about the house we were scared of it and would dare people to go into it for candy . Turns out this man killed his wife in the house. The family still owned the property which is why it was never demolished or resold but like … who wants to live in a house where ur family member killed his wife. I’m not even sure why they kept the house. Maybe it had sentimental value to the family, it was a pretty old house in general. But yeah kids would even call it the witches house, that’s how creepy it was. I think the energy of that event and what must have led up to it was absorbed into the land and the walls like a sponge
I live in Louisville Ky and I have been at The Waverly Hills Sanatorium (very famous nationally for its paranormal activities) and even when part of it have became a Halloween attraction you can feel the evil within it… like u can feel bad vibrations on ur body and having chills and goosebumps inside some of them room…
I know EXACTLY what you mean. My friends and I went to this place called Byberry in Philadelphia when we were younger. It was a mental hospital that was abandoned. Underground tunnels and an operation theater and all that. TERRIFYING.
I love the way you don't need anything visual. Your words paint such a clear picture. Sometimes I just listen while I do other things but I can see everything you're saying.
Your second video my husband immediately stated “The killer looks like a woman.” I took a good look at it and I’m going to have to agree with him. Looks like a woman and it would make total sense for the tactical gear. It would disguise the shape of the body and trick police into thinking it’s a guy, not a girl.
or an obese fat man with man boobs. look at the way he limps and the slow pace with which he walks. overweight man and woman starts looking alike with wide lower body. have seen lots of them at gym and since she was a fitness trainer u cant rule out this possibility. yours is interesting theory though. obese, fat woman killing slim woman. i wonder why????

In Missy's case, I can't help but see the gate and movement of her killer as a woman. I'm surprised they didn't look into that possibility. Bless her soul, I hope she rests in peace. NEVER put so much information out online because you never know who could get ahold of it. Missy is not to blame here because I'm sure she never thought of that outcome, however it's extremely dangerous to give your day plans out step by step to complete strangers.
I agree could have been one of her former students. I mean there are some pretty deranged people out there. Who else would have know she was going to be there
She isn't to blame, yet she posted information on the web that lead to the something that she isn't to blame for. I get the whole "Don't blame the victim", but some of the blame can be put on the victim for doing things that lead to the outcome. You can say "That's blaming the victim", but it isn't........ You can understand that the victim can't be blamed, but place some of the blame on the victim and not have it affect the not placing blame on the victim. It should be easy to get that level of nuance.

I’ve been following the missy case for a while as it was a story that freaked me out. Apparently missys father in law had the exact same limp/walk and rounded shoulders. He never liked missy- he was a suspect. Another theory was a lot of people are saying it’s actually a woman in those swat gear clothes- top body language experts watched the tapes over and over and even said “that’s a walk of a female” even from the gestures while moving. They believe missy was murdered by a former lover of her husband’s, so the woman stalked missy to kill her.
okok- i know the story is extremely sad, but i just cant get over the: “she was a bit disappointed because she wanted her to die from all these sleeping pills... but, it doesn’t matter. she pulls out her **hacksaw** ” it turned so brutal, so quickly-
I saw a story of this girl who posted a picture of her holding a handful of 100$ bills and said "Just got my paycheck" Got robbed. Turns out it ended up being someone who followers her facebook and lived nearby. Really weird how people don't think about this kind of stuff. I won big at a casino once and in the cab ride home I kept complaining how I lost everything just to avoid suspicion.
@@andrewd8420 that's actually pretty smart to tell the cabbie that. I've seen stories of lottery winners being murdered, and a woman at a casino who won like 5k and got murdered for it by a guy following her out.

Random thought; what if the person that killed Missy walked like that on purpose? He knew her schedule, her routine, he must've known that their were cameras. What if he got decked out and stuffed his clothes to make himself look fatter and hunches back and walks with his feet out to appear to be another person?
but if he had weapons on him and he knew there were cameras in the church why didn't he just break the cameras instead. He had the extra time after all.

I always find it disgraceful that there are so many abandoned buildings in the world. You could convert them into homes and partially help solve the homeless situation.
Going through these comments, I was waiting for someone to say this. These houses are so beautiful and they made them so much better than the crap they put out today. I had heard that in some American cities, they have a lottery system. The winners can purchase the abandoned houses to fix up for $1, if you qualify. Even if the municipalities purchase them and fix them up for the homeless, a very good use of taxpayers $.
There are already enough homes for all the homeless to live in without needing to do that. But they'll never let the homeless live in those places, because selling homes is a business, and the rich need to get richer. The reason life is so bad for many people isn't because we don't have enough to help them. It's because wealthy people are putting in the effort to keep them homeless and hungry and sick.
I remember Missy's case. There is SO much inconsistency in the husbands alibi. Also the armored individual in the video has his exact built and the unique way of walking that her husband had.
Why am I just now hearing this for the first time? I've heard a few people cover this story but never heard any suspicion of the husband. I must now investigate!

@@tythedetailer3650You seriously think that at home you're in the same danger like when exploring an abandoned building? 😂 Lot of these buildings are used for drug dealing and if you walk in on a drug deal you're gonna get shot and killed, they know they'll never get caught because nobody will even go and look for a body there, I've seen videos where they found a dead body in these abandoned buildings, people that were murdered there, in one of the videos there was a padlock on the door and you could just barely see a body through the door and that looked like it definitely was there for a long time, blood already soaking through the walls and floor it's dangerous to go explore alone it's still dangerous even with someone you can find videos on youtube where they get chased by a dude with a gun even firing at the explorer you really think that you're in that danger at home? Missy's tragic case should be a grim warning to people never to give the whole wide world detailed information about your life - you never know who might take advantage of such intimate knowledge and want to harm you.

The granny ripper story is one that is the most terrifying. Because the killers you have to look out for are the ones who blend in naturally. These are the chameleons and they are aware of their situations and they use their charm to trick people into getting them close in order to deal the death blow.

Missy also had kids, I went to school with them and they were always really cheerful and nice. Midlothian is a super small town and it makes me so mad that the person that killed her hasn't been found, considering they have an identifiable walk and it's again SUCH A SMALL TOWN. I hope Missy's family gets justice, it's heartbreaking.
Edit- I moved away from midlothian in middle school, but I live an hour away. So if you do have any tips or information- I am able to drive to the midlothian police station, and provide them with help on Missy's case.
Maybe its someone who took classes or at least did at one point

NEVER put so much information out online because you never know who could get ahold of it. Missy is not to blame here because I'm sure she never thought of that outcome, however it's extremely dangerous to give your day plans out step by step to complete strangers.

The second story. You should NEVER put every step of your days plan, and all your information on the internet. That’s just inviting trouble.
I saw a story of this girl who posted a picture of her holding a handful of 100$ bills and said "Just got my paycheck" Got robbed. Turns out it ended up being someone who followers her facebook and lived nearby. Really weird how people don't think about this kind of stuff. I'm not saying I'm some super ninja that deserves praise but I was just born with that intuition. I won big at a casino once and in the cab ride home I kept complaining how I lost everything just to avoid suspicion.
@@andrewd8420 good thinking
@@andrewd8420 great idea yeah I've heard a lot of stories about instagram women "influencers" getting killed
@@andrewd8420 that's actually pretty smart to tell the cabbie that. I've seen stories of lottery winners being murdered, and a woman at a casino who won like 5k and got murdered for it by a guy following her out.
@@aislebasile Exactly. Predators learn where to seek prey and what better place than a casino. I had my pocket filled with bills and my wallet had just enough to pay the cabbie my fare. I even said please drop me off a few blocks away from home to pay less. Therefore paying less and also not letting him know where I live. Maybe paranoid, but I slept with peace of mind that night.
Mr.Ballen's content reassures me to ALWAYS follow my intuition. I don't hesitate to not listen to my gut instinct, ever. I once jumped off the bus & biked the 12 miles I had left to get home after work.
I've been through insane situations, held at gunpoint for hours etc.. although I have only felt a genuinely evil energy from people twice, permeating through the atmosphere in a palpitable fashion.

You have taught us to always stay armed and with one in the chamber on you at all times even while you sleep and especially from your best friends the people you know trust absolutely nobody, especially your kids. And I believe that things have always been this crazy it’s just now we have somebody to focus on it with absolutely straightforward and serious storytelling which speaks of more like a college lecture and you have just entranced so many people I just wanted to thank you for many things but just for you being a complete badass to start with and also being able to convey such a descriptive story about your stories that one can visualize it very easily and I wanted to thank you for your professionalism and we all appreciate you very much Mr. Ballen!

Random thought; what if the person that killed Missy walked like that on purpose? He knew her schedule, her routine, he must've known that their were cameras. What if he got decked out and stuffed his clothes to make himself look fatter and hunches back and walks with his feet out to appear to be another person?
make sense.
but if he had weapons on him and he knew there were cameras in the church why didn't he just break the cameras instead. He had the extra time after all.
@@heatherswan4989 my theory is that the killer was someone close to Missy. Given that he knew all these personal things such as her schedule, routine and the cameras, it'd cast suspicion on those close to her. By letting the cameras catch him walking like that, it eliminates everyone around her bc no one close to her ACTUALLY walked like that.
@@scottiskinner4400 makes sense, but that's a pretty advanced and risky strategy right there. i feel like breaking the cameras is a lot better in most cases, bc you could easily give away more than you wanted to on camera. but i mean, i guess it worked, so who am i to judge 🤷♂
@@mrloqqe1610 i disagree, you may know there are cameras but you cant be sure you know about all of them. that and leaving only a red herring gives you more time to get away than trying to leave no evidence at all.

EXACTLY! I am so good with that concept! 💡

I get the sense that the person that killed Missy was a woman wearing clothes that were too big. This was a crime of passion and either the woman ordered police tactile clothing in men's to cover their tracks or is a spouse or partner of someone in the police force.

I work in a freezer and her gait definitely reminds me of new people in the freezer getting used to walking around in snow pants and 5 sweaters.

I saw this video. Actually Dan did two videos with one during the day and the other one at nite. You can clearly see in two different incidents filmed during the day, that he wasn't alone in the Asylum.
The second story, the one with Missy. That's a woman, walking around in that tactical gear. Were they looking for a woman? You can tell by the way she moves, carries herself. The way she's built. Does anyone else see this?
I actually was a fitness student in the same club near where Missy was killed. Yes, they did suspect it was possibly a woman. The disguise was so good though, they couldn’t tell for sure, and also couldn’t tell the race of the perpetrator.
