There have been others who at aged 14 were far better than you will ever be - and yet they never spoke with such arrogance. Their fundamental humility (even when boasting) was a vital part of their musicianship.

What a terrible shame that such a beautiful piece of music could elicit negative comments. Please, if you subscribe - think first!

Sad y'all can't just comment something nice about the beautiful song.

No, I think you'll find that there aren't any other fourteen year olds who are better than I ever will be because of the sheer fact that I already play for professional bands, not only on cornet but also on flugelhorn, so therefore I have wonderful sweeping solos, and guess what? I get paid for them, so I am already a professional musician at the age of fifteen, I beat adults at auditions, and got the prize for the best solo at nationals this year. Interesting to see anyone beat that.

You got to be fucking kidding me? There will always be someone out there who OWNS your bud. Its sad talking like that ...

Sad, very sad. If you continue like this it will be such a waste of your talent. You may well be today the best 14 year old anywhere - but your career is in a path where giants have walked. Learn about them and what they had achieved at age 14 - you may (though i doubt it) be humbled. And more importantly how they developed to become legends in brass. Arrogance is not compatible with true musicianship.

@shoegazer666 You can't make critical remarks when you quite clearly know nothing about brass bands, and before you say anything I do know what I'm talking about. I am Thomas Fountain, principle of Youth Brass 2000, at aged fourteen I'm better than you will ever be.
