Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. This is the meaning of this song. Keep spreading the word! God Bless.
One of the most beautiful cornet sounds i've ever heard. Rich, warm, and full of reverence for each note. I've met Thomas Gansch and I hope to meet Hans in the states at some point too.
To appreciate the beauty of this solo google the lyrics….beautiful. When I’m tired and nothing’s going right for me, When things I’ve counted on Just do not come my way, When in my mind the Thick grey folds of doubt arise, It’s then I seem to hear Him say: “Share My yoke and find that I am joined with you; Your slightest movement I shall feel and be there too! Share My yoke and come the way that I must go! In our ‘togetherness’ My peace you’ll know; The world beholding us will see it so!” Written by Joy Webb.
Thank Major Joy Webb of The Salvation Army for writing this beautiful tune. I cannot hear it enough and this man and group are wonderful. I just heard Philip Cobb play it too. (LSO)
You presume to teach Professor Gansch how to play a cornet? A quick visit to your RUclips postings shows a modestly-talented fledgeling trumpeter with significant intonation and phrasing issues fumbling through a few easy melodies. Please, do yourself an enormous favor and listen to Professor Gansch's impeccable intonation and phrasing. Remember, Hans is a full professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and was principal trumpet in the Vienna Philharmonic 1982-1996! Listen and learn, kiddo!
great ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ ♫♪ ♫♪great sound! ♫♪♫♪ ☺ ♥ ♫♪☺♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪☺ BRAVISSIMO @bisbis 🎶🎵🎼 great music! a well tuned ensemble that sounds like an organ ! Fabulous banding
Hi john, I took the time to watch your videos of playing. Many of us are left in awe of Mr Gansch's playing, you are apparently unable to take any education from it. He is one of the highest level professional trumpet / cornet players on the planet. While he may need a deeper mouthpiece - in your estimation - you could use a great deal of deeper musical interpretation and basic trumpet study. Keep practicing the long tones and working on a sound buddy! Oh! and Bravo Hans!
More great advice, this time from someone who doesn't know the difference between a trumpet and a cornet. There's always something to learn on RUclips.
Maybe you should write to him and suggest he change mouthpieces, perhaps he never thought of that and is still using the mouthpiece that came with the horn. He's can only hear himself live, where as you have the benefit of listening to a RUclips recording in all it's fidelity. Send him a recording of how it should sound too, he'll appreciate that.
I was pointing at the trumpet player in the back. It sounds better on flugelhorn way softer and it supports the cornet in sound. Sorry didnt make myself clear. I am really not criticizing Professor Gansch, I'd be foolish to do so.
Awesome, age/experience of prof. Gansch as benefit! Truly engaged. (Note: Conductor please relax; it is not that hard to conduct 15 professional brass players...)
Gorgeous cornet playing, plodding tempo and too much pulling about by the conductor. This tune is beautifully simple and doing too much with it spoils it. It’s a song and no singer would sing it like the conductor seems to want to direct it.

I play this beautiful music on Chromatic Harmonica, which suits this Cornet solo so well.
I love this. Heard it played by The Prince of Wales band in my local church. We all cried. I'm going to have it at my funeral.
To appreciate the beauty of this solo google the lyrics….beautiful.

Beautiful...
Beautiful playing and with such feeling. Thank you Prof💕

The conductor just witnessed some sort of miracle

True words my Friend 😀
Music from the hart! Thanks. I play the cornet for years in the Salvation Army. You've understood this music so well. Thanks!
This is brilliant. Gives me chills.
How can the countries of Europe never be friends when we are united by musicians such as these. So moving.

Simply beautiful........very moving.....emotional. it's been awhile since I've heard something so beautiful that touches ones soul. I'm moved
What a wonderful and focused sound from the cornet soloist.
Absolutely beautiful playing by the Soloist, and very sensitive playing by the band in accompanying him.

Daunting............. Jesus Christ! Stunning

If I'm correct, the piece is "Share My Yoke" by Joy Webb, arr. Ivor Bosanko.
magical
Realmente sublime...... asi quisiera tocar.

hermoso el tema
Sheer class.
Melodia esecuzione e armonie suggestive
Not gonna lie the conductor gave me some mad serial killer vibes with his expression at the end but that's ok because this performance was phenomenal
muy bueno
最高✨
好き💓
Doesn't get any more cornet than that? Sensitive accompaniment as well.
is there anywhere i can get this entire concert?
This is gorgeous. What is the piece?

Melody composed bt Major Joy Webb, The Salvation Army UK
브라보!
Rotary Trumpets are similar to Cornets... They produce darker tone than Trumpets...
Is Hans Gansch the father of Thomas Gansch from Mnozil Brass?!
Brother
Half-brother
Is there somewhere I can buy this arrangement?
The Salvation Army owns the copyright. Contact the local music department.
why rainning only to conductor?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎶🎵🎺 #QPO #JMD

agreed this is a superb player its not the british style but in its own regards its briljant!
The conductor is sweating like a pregnant nun at confession!
Ex-pregnant, my dear, ex-pregnant... :-))
Are you that Nun?
only then can you say that you gave it your all.
What a repugnant comment! Keep this type of comment to yourself.
Wow it doesnt have to be a besson prestige to produce quality sound hahaha
Indeed what a wonderful Top quality sound he produced what horn did he play on wonderful quality playing
Brakk
Cheese.
Nice music for be smoking porros
R
They should have used a flugelhorn instead of a trumpet soo sad the sound of a trumpet just wont fit at those spots
Taeke van der Kooi uhhhhh this is a cornet not a trumpet
