We are so far behind in the science on gut issues. We are basically throwing things at the wall and hoping they work. No one really knows how to cure chronic, persistent gut issues, it's really too bad. I appreciate you both for trying to do everything you can to get a hold of it.

A simple and easy parasite cleanse without going down the antimicrobial path could be eating fresh pineapple on an empty stomach for a couple days, also pumpkin seeds (raw) are great as well. I had parasite testing done and everything came back negative, however I did do a 2 month protocol of Candibactin AR and BR and passed some weird looking things on the second day! Those supplements alone are antiparasitic! It was a nice plus to see honestly 😂

I am a veterinarian and I was kind of shocked. We use simple ELISA snap tests for giardiasis and very old style flotation and a microscope to find worms respectively the eggs of the . We simplify always ask for at least 3 samples per test, so we have less false negatives. We don’t have false positives with flotation. Sn egg is an egg s as nd a worm is a worm…

The SIBO yogurt described in the book Super Gut by Dr William Davis has been much more beneficial for me in eliminating SIBO than the various anti microbials described here (which I tried last year with limited success). I highly recommend looking for Dr Davis’s videos here on RUclips. Best wishes.

I haven’t been tested for SIBO but exhibit the symptoms and tried Dr. Davis’ “yogurt” comprised of the 3 strains for ~ 5 weeks. It was somewhat helpful with diarrhea, but didn’t eliminate it and other symptoms persist. I’m considering doing it again or his herbal alternative.

@@normanwitts9374 I remember Dr. Davis saying that in some more severe cases it can take several months to resolve the symptoms. If you were starting to see improvement with the SIBO yogurt, I agree that you might want to consider getting back on it. Good luck!

I've stood staring at shelves of bottles of MSM before, but not knowing that it can be used for SIBO, too. Interesting!
Can't wait to see its impact on my daughter for her chronic constipation. Will investigate for mold, too.
Interesting info on the chronic sinus infections and speculations, too.

I have some of the worst and most severe gastrointestinal problems that my family and friends have ever seen. Also the worst I have ever seen. I have been dealing with gastrointestinal issues since I was 17 years old and they get worse and worse every year. I also have MCAS, Lyme Disease, mold toxicity (but out of mold now for 3 years), extreme bloating and swelling, extreme constipation, SIBO, candida, gastritis, gastroparesis - pretty much everything imaginable. So if I can help in any way with the study, I would be glad to. If you need an extreme case of bloating or SIBO and candida, for example. I'd be glad to help.

Somehow survived and a month later sinusitis started in the right side which is still on going and flares up if I going of carnivore diet, later i started to get pain in my knee and coincidently started drinking coffee, which I didnt before. Ive had scopes done, many many tests. Lined up for a stool test now.
But my gut swells constantly. To the point of discomfort like i cant explain.
No matter what i eat. Doesnt matter. I can drink water with my supliments, and feel bloating.
My gut sticks out now all the time.
I had a severe blood infection 10+ years ago, that grew a vegitstion on my heart valve. We believe it was from me not addressing an infected tooth while i was offshore.
Infection resisted some antibiotics, so they put me on this other strong one for like half a year or more.
Im wondering if there is some residual infection, or bacteria. Or is the antibiotics what causing this?
Idk. But neither does any drs ive seen.
We are now over spent on drs, meds, televisits, so on. Last year alone between my wife and i we spent over 13k on trying to get healed alone.
Hormone dr, general dr, functional dr, no one seems to be able to help here.

My dr told me after I got out of the hospital to keep taking it. I did and of course got it again and ended up in Mayo clinic for 8 days. Horrible stuff and ruined my gut.

    1) Rifaximin was mentioned, I have read many horror stories of people being "floxed" and the result causing suffering for many years. Can you please say something about this ?
    2) Have you seen the videos of Elliot Overton promoting high dose B1 to treat SIBO ?
I have been playing with ChatGPT. I will share questions I asked, and the resulting information seems very good, which then produces more questions.
    1) what is the best treatment for hydrogen sulfide sibo
    2) list the gut bacteria treated with each, Rifaximin, Metronidazole, Neomycin
This next question is a result of a genome microbiome test result, I have listed the main toxic bacteria found at high levels.
    3) which antibiotic is most effective at treating Bacteroides_B vulgatus, Escherichia coli (flexneri), Faecalicatena torques, Parabacteroides distasonis, Escherichia coli, Eggerthella lenta, Bacteroides caccae, Parabacteroides merdae, Ruminococcus_B gnavus, Bilophila wadsworthia, Flavonifractor plautii, Bacteroides ovatus, Clostridium_Q symbiosum, Escherichia coli (coli_D), Paraprevotella clara, Alistipes_A indistinctus, Prevotella disiens, but do not include antibiotics of the fluoroquinolones variety
I haven't provided the results, although I can if someone asks, but my point of sharing the questions was to show others how easy chatgpt is to use. And the results are very good, if something doesn't make sense then either modify your question and even state "please explain in very simple terms", you can even not change your question but just make your next question, "can you please explain in more simplistic terms your last response"
