@Joker_Venom I am talking pre combination blow nerfs, liars, devour, and ivis, rifts, song of flame's dr, and phoenix dive. In early TFS knockout barely gave back any health and that was titan's only way of survivability on prism unless you had spirit of the assasin.
5:25 Cross I think what they were saying about raijus harness was that the extra damage was jolt damage. So if you just threw a nade that jolts it would be the same damage, so you could put on a different exotic (like star eaters) for a higher total damage.
Once they've got it in a good spot balance-wise in pvp I'd frankly love to see Storm's Edge get a pve buff. I personally feel its already there after the nerf, but, that might be biased for my love of using it. I feel like if they can make it actually good at fitting the weird middle-ground between a roaming super and a one-off super it'd be pretty fun. Like they could absolutely make its cooldown way faster in pve without affecting pvp and get it to a point thats like, slower than a roaming super like arc staff but faster than most one-offs like gathering storm or something. Then make a good exotic to pair with it, a raiju / shards of galanor / etc equivalent, maybe make it apply jolt as part of the exotic (could be cool/flashy if it applied a jolt aoe after the teleport but before the attack) and get some on-kill regen looping or something.

After seeing the Titan video, its very obvious Hunter damage needs a buff. Behemoth is wildly out of band damage wise, and prismatic warlock can do some nutty shit
Behemoth is completely fine, because you can't use it for any ranged bosses and it's solely reliant on a big boss breaking all the crystals. And honestly all classes with their roaming supers need to be doing close to behemoth level damage. Roman supers need to be the highest damaging abilities in the game, because you have to stay in them for the 15 seconds you have the super.
@ThePackman627 I agree there. My point is behemoth is, all things being equal, wildly more powerful than other roaming supers, especially supers that are only useful for grounded enemies.
@@lbozo9580I completely agree. I think that most roaming supers at base, need to be doing at least 1.2 million damage. You think that's a lot of damage but it's over a 15 second long super. No one uses roaming supers because even if they do a little bit more damage than one-off supers, you are stuck in them for 15 seconds. Plus most roaming supers you have to be at the feet of the boss in order to use it. And any one-off supers like storms edge, needs to do way more damage than one-off supers that you can use from a distance
It's funny how titan mains complain about needing their "personality" since hunters r taking their "melee class" thing but I've never heard anyone talking about hunters class thing, "assassins?" Like in destiny what is that? How the only sneaky like assassin is probably void and stasis for shuriken and maybe solar with the knives but other than that it's more of a ability instead of class thing other than that warlocks and titans r now doing more dmg than hunters which is crazy I thought high super dps was a "hunter" class thing but ig not
Yeah, I felt that way with previous damage testing that put Golden Gun below a lot of the oneshot supers from the other classes. "Well, it's ranged, so it should do less damage!" Sure, but you also have to land the hit to do any damage. There have been so many times I miss the crit spot, or even just miss entirely, with Golden Gun and it feels awful. Especially when you're using Nighthawk. And as for flavor, I wish Bungie would give some sort of backstab powered melee to the Nightstalker. The smoke bomb that weakens just doesn't cut it for me.
Blight Ranger during the Corrupted Puppeteer boss might actually go nuts because of how add dense it is with all the clones shooting the shit out of you AND you can move out of the lighting while in it.
well damage wise still kinda meh but that bossfight is so tough solo that it becomes a pretty safe option if you wanna do hunter solo and like not be invisible
you can replicate that Star eater golden gun spam with six hunters now, seeing that the super is doesn't loose that super regen buff from having Star Eaters on- whereas with Nighthawk it isn't supposed to be able to get that super back super fast
I’m pretty sure for Raiju’s Harness it’s better when there’s multiple enemies around to keep jolting and calling lightning down so for the vesper host boss it’s chunks him but for Greg it wouldn’t do too much
I kinda had an idea for this. What if they brought back mask of the third man, adds 1 more charge + refunds a charge when you kill 3 or more enemies. Melee kills fund storm's edge. Would be cool but bungie is completely out of creativity
Apparently capping your frame rate to 60 or below helps a lot with the hit registration of melee lunge based attacks, such as Spectral Blades. You should try it when you next have hit registration issues.
As a titan main, I gotta say; Arc Hunter needs some serious love, alongside Arc Titan Literally both of our designated punch it class for the light subclasses, and its absolute ASS. The only saving grace between the two of them is the yeet missile, and pre-nerf combination blow. Arc warlock is also a joke. You wanna talk about class identity, what about subclass identity? Nobody's coping harder for an identity rework than the entirety of base Arc, and it makes me sad
I’m just hoping he doesn’t add apotheosis veil ability spam into the damage and act as if it’s part of the damage of the super which defo shouldn’t count. also from what I know rn titans have the highest one and done (thunder crash) and highest roaming (glacial quake and even the shield one rn due to the accidental buff). I know those roaming supers are very specific for the encounters they work in and even thunder crash has encounters it doesn’t work in although axes are basically the same damage as nova so they are doing insanely well with super dps
@@RandomGuy-ci9nt hunters rule PvP and are cry babies in pve although the guy who commented on the video is correct about the super thing cus titans are just op rn so I’m not insulting him
I’m definitely more a fan of kne and done supers for boss phases just because you throw whatever you’re super is and essentially add about 500k damage from that with whatever dps your weapons and abilities can do. So raider might be meta now but I do not want to spend a whole damage phase wracking at a boss and that’s if they even can be melee damaged. I don’t see how the servitor for war lords ruin could be attacked by raiden so it’s nice there’s still good viable options outside of just raiden.
Hear me out: hunters get 10% less resistance than other classes and cause a “bleeding,” effect to their supers, bleeding targets will take damage over time the higher the mobility the more bleeding a target will have, stacking up to 5x. This will only apply to pve, all class abilities will cause bleeding, excluding uncharged melee. Other classes will get their own effects that only apply to their class, titans will apply a stunning blow, allowing other classes to deal 15% more damage to their punches, warlocks will have a lesser version of the grenade boosting exotic going up to 15%
I am using spectral blades on my invis omnioculus hunter right now.... its working rly well to clean up waves of strong ads and as a bonus oh shit button. Rly like it now with the cooldown.
When you're testing something like Blight Ranger that reflects damage and you don't want your enemy to flinch, stop reflecting the damage at his face if you're not getting any sort of precision damage
case and point why i stopped playing the game. Hunters suck right now so bad to the point I have only played titan for contest dungeon day and haven't touched it since then. I think I'm done until the next raid drops/D3
Classic meme when the WORST titan super was still better than the halfway point of the hunter supers lmao. Good thing we nerfed hunters though. Titans NEEDED to be the meta in EVERY activity.
Practically all Hunter exotics that buff Supers are straight up useless, little to no effect on the actual DPS. Star-Eater’s outperforms like half the exotic arsenal. Raiju’s is a perfect example, you can get the damage boost from Jolt from friggin anywhere and the Super bar refund is too inconsistent to matter. Star-Eater’s also gives you your Super bar faster (and more consistently), has its own unique damage buff, AND can still benefit from the same Jolt that Raiju’s can, simply by sourcing it from a grenade instead of wasting an exotic slot to get it. Even more damning is that Raiju’s is tied down to Gathering Storm, while you can slap Star-Eater’s on any three of the Arcstrider variants. If you’re going to make Raiju’s niche, then at least make Raiju’s the dominant option within that niche. Raiden Flux beats out Star-Eater’s on Arc Staff, so why can’t Raiju’s beat out Star-Eater’s on Gathering Storm? Getting beat by a jack-of-all-trades exotic inside your own niche is pathetic. Almost none of the Super exotic options significantly alter the Hunter playstyle and it makes them feel very boring in comparison to the stuff other classes get. Their neutral-game abilities make up for it, but the Hunter Supers haven’t been remotely exciting in years.
@@yadeel8281 How is that being fair? You are acting like people that play Hunter have a distinct personality. While i doubt it would move the needle much, golden gun deadshot should be able to apply at least 50 scorch on hit so you can get an ignition (and therefore an extra shot) every 2 shots on beefy targets. @@nottyler6776 why do i see u on every cross video
@ lol I am a channel member. And I keep up with Destiny 2 through his videos so. 😂
I mean, objectively hunter supers are depressing compared to the other 2 lol.
Gotta love it when the dps class is pathetic
@@fettuccine9896 THIS! I just don't understand in a game where most play all classes and constantly complain about the actual DPS class being too strong in DPS scenarios is mental with the actual DPS class being weak in almost every other aspect it just never made any sense to me
@thesonofcosmos Still hunt/ Celestial is still the highest dps. He is testing total damage which has nothing to do with dps. No one had issues with Hunter dps except for bungie. People had an issue with hunters having better ability uptime than warlocks and more survivability than titans.
More survivability than titan ? Bro...
@Joker_Venom I am talking pre combination blow nerfs, liars, devour, and ivis, rifts, song of flame's dr, and phoenix dive. In early TFS knockout barely gave back any health and that was titan's only way of survivability on prism unless you had spirit of the assasin.
Silence and squall needs at the LEAST a 50% dmg buff. NO super should be stuck at numbers that low
Hunters had Celestial and Stillhunt and it got nerfed due to complaints. Now look at them.
Celestial/still hunt is still incredibly powerful lol wym
@@XxDeathxX509it’s really not that great and requires perfection to be competitive.
5:25 Cross I think what they were saying about raijus harness was that the extra damage was jolt damage. So if you just threw a nade that jolts it would be the same damage, so you could put on a different exotic (like star eaters) for a higher total damage.
Not quite. They were talking about the jolting shockwave that comes out from you. It does a bit (like 50,000 if I recall)
Based on your numbers, Bungie has successfully made the Hunter useless...
Still gonna use it anyways
Still Hunt/Celestial and Calibans/Liars joined the chat.
@@Voodoo_Occasionswhy use Caliban's liars when prismatic titan exists?
@@whatifwaterwaschunky7199 Consistent health chunks that aren't based on killing ads, access to navigator grapple spamming if you substitute liars with spirit of synthos, invis that isnt kill based, and a better prismatic grenade for dps cenarios.
I'll say this, no super should be doing less than damn 600k damage. Its depressing to seem some hit so low, when back then it was peak
I said it on the Titan video and I'll say it again here: Bungie needs to make supers feel super.
The fuck does that even mean tho? Half of the supers in the game are broken rn
@@ekkaar he means pretty easily that supers should feel more powerful, when I use a super it should do alot more than a measly like 600k damage
@@lbozo9580 most supers that do 600k are one off supers used in a dps rotation. Nice try tho (ignore spectral blades)
It’s just bad when I can use all three of my weapons and get a dramatically higher dmg output than one of my supers lmao.
It's funny how titan mains complain about needing their "personality" since hunters r taking their "melee class" thing but I've never heard anyone talking about hunters class thing, "assassins?" Like in destiny what is that? How the only sneaky like assassin is probably void and stasis for shuriken and maybe solar with the knives but other than that it's more of a ability instead of class thing other than that warlocks and titans r now doing more dmg than hunters which is crazy I thought high super dps was a "hunter" class thing but ig not
Been saying this for a min lol
Ninjas and cowboys
A Hunter's identity is dying and being a massive edgelord for the sake of dying and being a massive edgelord.
The whole point is titans only have one identity in the game. Hunters and warlocks can express it through many different ways.
I'd love to see a video on best combinations for overall damage rotation. Like what super and weapon combinations are absolute peak damage per class.
Blight Ranger during the Corrupted Puppeteer boss might actually go nuts because of how add dense it is with all the clones shooting the shit out of you AND you can move out of the lighting while in it.
well damage wise still kinda meh but that bossfight is so tough solo that it becomes a pretty safe option if you wanna do hunter solo and like not be invisible
aztecross when you're doing these tests set your frames at 60FPS, the lower frames you have the less Desyncing happens on the bosses
That ain't realistic for anyone above it tho, why would they cap frames to play at cap
you can replicate that Star eater golden gun spam with six hunters now, seeing that the super is doesn't loose that super regen buff from having Star Eaters on- whereas with Nighthawk it isn't supposed to be able to get that super back super fast
hahaha the zoom when Cross was pissed 😂
Raiju's technically doesnt buff the actual super damage itself, but it does cause an explosion on cast that added a little bit.
Exactly, just a bit of extra damage on cast, provided you're nearby enough
Raijjus harness was wrongly tested, it makes an explosion around YOURSELF so in order to buff the total damage you need to use it CQQ with the boss
I’m pretty sure for Raiju’s Harness it’s better when there’s multiple enemies around to keep jolting and calling lightning down so for the vesper host boss it’s chunks him but for Greg it wouldn’t do too much
I heard you can stack Stareater and Raiden flux, was hoping aztecross would test this.
To make this an even more top tier list if you assumed a standard dps then add that to figures you could get a decent total damage figure.
They need to make an exotic for storms edge that gives it an extra charge ( like Orpheus for void tether
I kinda had an idea for this. What if they brought back mask of the third man, adds 1 more charge + refunds a charge when you kill 3 or more enemies. Melee kills fund storm's edge. Would be cool but bungie is completely out of creativity
Blight ranger needs to agro ads like bubble and shield do now for it to be of any use in general play tbh
Still won’t see use lol, nobody is using their super for something like that ESPECIALLY when something like unbreakable exists. Just purely useless.
Yeah, great suggestion! Also throw in free amplified.
I don't understand why Bungie game devs doesn't buff the damage for Stasis in a season dedicated specifically for it. And that goes for the 3 classes
Behemoth does NOT need a damage buff lmao
That Raiju Garhering Storm doing such low damage surprised me.
Crazy that Raiden Flux is now the 2nd best damage super
Apparently capping your frame rate to 60 or below helps a lot with the hit registration of melee lunge based attacks, such as Spectral Blades.
You should try it when you next have hit registration issues.
As a titan main, I gotta say;
Arc Hunter needs some serious love, alongside Arc Titan
Literally both of our designated punch it class for the light subclasses, and its absolute ASS. The only saving grace between the two of them is the yeet missile, and pre-nerf combination blow. Arc warlock is also a joke. You wanna talk about class identity, what about subclass identity? Nobody's coping harder for an identity rework than the entirety of base Arc, and it makes me sad
I think for Blight Ranger, you need to cancel the super at the end to get the extra burst damage explosion as described.
Yep!
Arcstrider main since 2018, what a fun super
If golden gun marksman is a roaming super, I feel like storms edge should be as well(need that super regen bungo)
14:44 oh hell naw editors you're evil for including this ☠️
14:42 Cross saying he needs orbs when hes already at max stacks😂
Imo Hunter supers suck in comparison to titans(damage wise)... Let's wait for warlocks now
I’m just hoping he doesn’t add apotheosis veil ability spam into the damage and act as if it’s part of the damage of the super which defo shouldn’t count. also from what I know rn titans have the highest one and done (thunder crash) and highest roaming (glacial quake and even the shield one rn due to the accidental buff). I know those roaming supers are very specific for the encounters they work in and even thunder crash has encounters it doesn’t work in although axes are basically the same damage as nova so they are doing insanely well with super dps
What do you expect from hunters, all they do is roll around on the ground.
@223ndog
That's pvp tho?
These hinter mains be some kinda special 🤣
New dps strat. Well + blight ranger to block damage and reflect while everyones behind your doing actual dps lol
Other classes will get their own effects that only apply to their class, titans will apply a stunning blow, allowing other classes to deal 15% more damage to their punches, warlocks will have a lesser version of the grenade boosting exotic going up to 15%
i’ve never heard of this rodger’s harness exotic before🤭
How weak do you want hunters to be? Budgie: yes.
Titan one and done super: 1000000dmg..hunters: 400k yay
I am using spectral blades on my invis omnioculus hunter right now.... its working rly well to clean up waves of strong ads and as a bonus oh shit button. Rly like it now with the cooldown.
Appreciate your testing Cross!!
8:02 Got me speechless here
When you're testing something like Blight Ranger that reflects damage and you don't want your enemy to flinch, stop reflecting the damage at his face if you're not getting any sort of precision damage
Bungie needs to improve the hit registration for spectral blades as well as the titan strand super
case and point why i stopped playing the game. Hunters suck right now so bad to the point I have only played titan for contest dungeon day and haven't touched it since then. I think I'm done until the next raid drops/D3
The raiju saga was hilarious
Classic meme when the WORST titan super was still better than the halfway point of the hunter supers lmao. Good thing we nerfed hunters though. Titans NEEDED to be the meta in EVERY activity.
I’m betting on spectral blade 🤞
Damn now I see why hunters want a titan nerf 🤣🤣
Well yeah. If we ask for a buff, it will be nerfed within a month.
@@LI_MIGI Tbf hunters want everything nerfed but themselves, especially those of the PvP variety
@@yadeel8281 I don’t want to nerf anything, I just want my class to feel good 😭

Blight Ranger needs to pull aggro like Titan barricades/Bannershield/Unbreakable
Aztecross having some choice fashion with hunters
editors i swear to god if i see another damage testing video and he doesn't cover the explosion damage of blight ranger im gonna go insane
I had around the same celestial super regen with my revision zero with vorpal on light burst
How many times we gotta say that with raiju you need to call the super down on top of them. The lightning strikes are called down on YOUR character
I think arc compounding works with the moth build as well so it's just doing crazy damage rn.
Really wish you would take full advantage of blight ranger and cancel at the boss' feet when the super is about to end.
While i doubt it would move the needle much, golden gun deadshot should be able to apply at least 50 scorch on hit so you can get an ignition (and therefore an extra shot) every 2 shots on beefy targets. Just over 300k damage for a super with star-eater is pitiful. I know it's meant for ad clear, but still.
The problem is he wasn't close enough to consistently proc raijus harness honestly is only good for the constant super regen and niche-ly enough for the first vespers boss
Just returned after 2 month break… WTF DID BUNGIE DO TO SOLAR HUNTER??? ARE WE COOKED???
Odd that Radiant buffs reflect damage on Blight Ranger. What a strange exotic
Yeah, makes me wonder if weapon surges work too.
I think if Bungie wants more people to use 6 shot Goldie in pve, lucky pants should work with the super
DPS is damage per second, Hate to be that grammar police, Gathering adds to total damage with weapons for damage rotation while Blight ranger dosn't
Silently anticipating the warlock testing.
ive hit upward of 8m dmg during vesper with storm edge, its so good. I've been saying this since the new season started, idk how yall r figuring this out now.

Idk if im more disappointed in how Golden Gun performed or should be happy Arc Hunter is doing good damage
They should leave celestial alone. It requires a decent amount of damage to regenerate. Seems fine.
