Mike Sexton epitomized what made poker so great in the early 2000s. He was the ambassador of poker and will always be remembered for his contributions to the game. When Mike Sexton died, a little part of poker died along with him.

it's very rare to find someone that almost no one has a bad thing to say about them. that is an indelible mark on a true legacy of someone who's passion could be felt for miles. RIP Mike Sexton.

Yes he is, and a nice guy. When I was in my early 20's 100 years ago, I used to play pool with Gabe in the rental apartment building we both lived in for a while on Miami Beach.

Mike Sexton was a bridge between the "old-timers" and today's players, with the history and knowledge. I was more than happy personally when he won the WSOP bracelet in 2006 TOC and then a WPT title in 2016 Montreal. His relationship with Stu Ungar and his WPT commentaries always brought a smile to my face, thank you Mr. Sexton...today and forever.

Amazingly, Mike Sexton and Chip Reese were both born and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. 2 of the biggest names in the history of poker from a middle sized midwestern town. (not Vegas, California, or Texas).

dang I been watching WPT for over 15 years, loved Mike Sexton, had no idea had passed. I just re-signed up to ClubWPT to start streaming it and wondered why Vince was on the main page but not Mike. Bummer, but his voice will live forever. Some big calls came from him, and I had no idea he was involved in PartyPoker, thats where I started playing in like 06 or 07
