I'm holding out for a Switch with better hardware, personally. It has to happen at some point. Or the next Nintendo console will allow you to play Switch games on it, which is most likely
Based on nintendos history they haven't bothered to make a powerful console since Gamecube. Sony outperformed with the Psp and the PS Vita. Its already established Nintendo is not interested in high performance consoles but instead they focus on their exclusives titles more. The steam deck is another example of what the switch could have achieved if Nintendo made it a priority to focus on 60 fps and higher resolution outputs. I just don't see nintendo going down that road anytime soon. 3 versions of the switch and no upgrade for higher fps or resolution in 5 years... I think that speaks in itself.
As a PC gamer, I’ve always emulated switch on PC (Breath of the Wild in 4k 60 fps and ray tracing is incredible…) but I was planning to get the oled for on the go gameplay since some switch games are just more fun on handheld. But then I realized my switch was the 2017 model which was jailbreakable. There’s just so much more you can do with a jailbreakable switch (overclocking for better graphics and many 60fps patches for non 60fps games). Too bad you can’t do it to an oled.
You can mod an OLED using a mod chip which is undoubtedly way more risky, but it does open up the doors for a way better experience with the added benefits of modding and homebrew.
So glad I found your video. I’m purely a PC gamer and have never own a switch. I’ve always wanted to try out BOTW so consider buying the OLED one. Thanks for the content.
I have a High end PC but brought the original switch about 2-3 years ago for something different the main thing that has seen my switch build up dust over the years is the price of games, i brought 3 games for it with a combined total of £180! now i can buy games for the PC super cheap and play them in 1440p with 144fps if the games for this handheld console were half the price there currently selling for there's no doubt i would use it more. I was interested in the Oled switch for the nicer screen but it has the same chip as the old switch i have now so i will leave it. Think i will take a look at the new steam deck. Good video!
I have a launch Switch but wanted the OLED when it released. I was laid off at the time so that was a no-go. Now that I have my job back, I bought one and now I hacked my launch Switch into an emulation machine. So if I want to play any retro game, I can boot up my launch Switch and for any official games, I can use my OLED. I will not pirate the new games as I still want to support Nintendo but I will emulate games that Nintendo will never release on the NSO options. Best of both worlds!
How does the dock get pulled by the wait of the cables with you setup It seems to me you were just looking for reasons not to like it just to make this video
So my brother had a 2017 switch, and I always would use it in docked because of just the screen feeling very tiny and just not worth playing. But now, I actually play more handheld than docked Becaue I love the screen so much!
I already have a switch V2 and use it mostly docked so an upgrade is pointless for me, but for others who game on the go or just like handheld it could be good
I have been smashing mh rise, and dark souls on my new oled. I love playing handheld mode and I barely every did that with the og switch. I love the new oled and some of the older titles feel almost new again! :)
all the little upgrades in this are nice, but I feel like most of the reason I want the OLED is 1) the white one looks sleek as hell, but also 2) I’ve heard that the OLED is just generally built better than the regular switch. I feel like I could smash my regular switch over my knee
Hey, I’ve waited for 1 month to get the white version. Regular Blue/Red was in stock, but I wanted the white one so badly. Yeah, it feels different. More metal. But still you’ll be able to easily smash it over your knee 😄
I don’t actually like the white, much. I much prefer the red and blue. It’s more beautiful. But I may just buy the white oled because I already have the original switch with red and blue. And it would make them stand apart from each other. I’m really shocked that Oled cost same as regular switch. I thought they would charge £100 or $ 100 more.
@@cartkart1 I'm used to playing PSP and 3DS (small screens) so normal V2 Switch is perfect for me. The OLED screen actually gives me a headache. Also I play on lower brightness and the screen has an annoying green tint when the brightness is lowered. Yeah for most people, the OLED is great but it's not for me. I'm glad the original Switch came out before OLED. Agreed the white joycons look the best and the small bezels just look amazing. I wish the normal Switch had the same bezel as OLED and white joycons and the nice kickstand, that's it
I traded in my old v1 switch for the oled because of its better screen, more space, and louder sound and I don't regret it. Plus my right joycon was starting to act up anyway and i did not want to have to wait weeks for nintendo to repair it. This should have been how it was at the beginning and our v2 should have been a switch pro.
I agree but it is what it is but still if in the end of 2022 if a switch pro does not come switch will start Falling in the market n I don't want it to cause its a grt console but it's too weak it's disappointing 😔 wish they will bring a powerful switch in 2022 rather than some shit version again
Nice review although I'm on the complete opposite side of the perspective, yet we somehow share the same disappointments (with the Switch/Switch OLED). JoyCons? Agreed, weak sauce. 720p screen? Agreed, weak sauce. I'd go one further and say that because the OLED is more money, these two issues are exacerbated. So for my money, the Switch Lite is the best Switch. Yes the screens colours aren't as vibrant but if one never compares it side-by-side with an OLED Switch, one won't know what they are missing. The Switch Lite also alleviates most of the JoyCon issues, minus the drift debacle. I know the Lite can't be docked but I game laying down on the couch 99% of the time, anyway. I just can't reward Nintendo and buy an overpriced, underpowered OLED that they didn't even bother to boost screen resolution or fix the minor JoyCon issues. But that's me. Again, thanks for your review.
Oh, one last thing. I agree wholeheartedly about high game prices in the Switch. They start high and stay high and for the first 18 months of owning my Lite, I only bought a couple of games. HOWEVER! I started digging deep into the indie titles and imports, thanks to 2 or 3 really dedicated RUclips channels and I must say, I haven't looked back. There are hundreds and hundreds or unique, high quality titles by small, indie or foreign developers that go for $5-$20 on the eShop. There are massive sales weekly on these titles and I know have a backlog that'll take me years to get through and I probably only spent $100. Also, some of the imports are priced way less than the AA or AAA titles that are $80 in-store. I just picked up Eastward from Play Asia for $40-$50 or something around that price. Super amazing game with 20-30 hours of gameplay and gorgeous artwork. Discovering these small, indie and import games have been one of the most pleasant gaming surprises I have encountered.
Yeah. Your perfect Switch might be not the one that is perfect in general. I wish more people would understand your point with indie games. That’s what makes Switch an awesome console for a lot of people. Can you please share these indie games that you liked?

Great review. I have a Steam Deck (and Switch). I would toss the Switch in the bin compared to Steam Deck (but Steam Deck is meant for PC performance, so that’s understandable). Still love both systems but if you can, put an order on Steam Deck
Thanks. 😊 I want Steam Deck so much. Especially because I kinda get used to PC games. These Nintendo games are a whole new world for me, but they are good for portable gaming. I hope in the near future I’ll be able to take Steam Deck.
many reasons are there for the switch despite of the steam deck. too many questions about compatibility and stuff. also there are no exclusive ( switch )games but it will be a much better emu handheld none the less.
The other problem is Steam Deck availability. I pre-ordered on July 17th last year. I got an email last week saying I wouldn't even get a chance at my deck until September at the earliest. Meanwhile, I was able to walk into Gamestop and buy an OLED switch.
@@AthenaAutocross wow that’s crazy 😄 I’m sorry that you use to wait so long. As always, Steam cannot operate this demand. Same happened with their controller as I remember

Thinking about purchasing switch oled or my friend's 2nd hand PS4 PRO. Which one should I get? Used to play games a lot on console but that was back in 09 when I still had my PS3. Lol, but right now I just wanna try out playing to pass time
I believe that they should make a more powerful switch that can play in 3 modes: battery saving (HD at 30fps low graphics), quality (HD at 30fps maximum graphics) and performance (HD at 60fps). The Full HD on a 7" monitor isn't necessary, as long as the quality increases. A game like Zelda needs more power to be appreciated the fullest in my opinion

Hey, first of all, great video and thanks for the review! But how do you connect your playstation/ xbox controller to the switch, does it just work with bluetooth?
How did you connect the PS5 controller to the switch? Do you use a bluetooth adapter, or it works by default with the switch’s bluetooth? I want to get a Switch OLED, but I’m not sure if I should invest in an adapter, too.
I have a tutorial for it: ruclips.net/video/q9Z7grZl1co/видео.html I use an adapter. PS5 controller works super well. Motion controls work too. If you already have a PS5 controller, you may consider getting the adapter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. 😉
I got my switch in 2018, and i still use the same joy cons as before. never had drift or "wiggle"! also maybe you got the "wiggle" bcuz u dont push the button while putting or removing them from the console?
I want to buy one, even the normal version but I am so scared that I will be dissatisfied or disappointed by the overall optimisation of certain games such as the newest Pokemon. I would get it mainly for staying in bed after a long day at work…but I really don’t know if it’s that worth anymore.

After making such lovely video so pleasant to watch, he didn't even say " don't forget to subscribe and smash the like button!!! !"???
Perfect machine for 80's kids like me and has a family, we all enjoy the switch.
So, there is a big nostalgia aspect, right? 🙂
@@MaxDendy oh yeah, big time!
oh and i forgot to mention great content ! subbed and liked you channel, keep up the great work.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your support 😍
Good video!
Thank you. Yeah, I think Steam Deck would be better for you
I have a launch Switch but wanted the OLED when it released.
How does the dock get pulled by the wait of the cables with you setup
It seems to me you were just looking for reasons not to like it just to make this video
So my brother had a 2017 switch, and I always would use it in docked because of just the screen feeling very tiny and just not worth playing. But now, I actually play more handheld than docked Becaue I love the screen so much!
You have OLED, right?
@@MaxDendy yes!
I have been considering which switch console to buy, your screen comparison has helped me decide, the OLED seems the way to go
Hi! Great video! Just want to ask what’s the game on 4:27? Thank you. 😁
Thank you. That’s Mario Odyssey

Thanks! I wish you luck with your purchase. I hope it will not disappoint you 😉
@@MaxDendy thank you, i was doubting between the mini and this one, but yeah, I'm going OLED ♥️ thx 4 the vid man
Great video as always! You covered all the points and the editing was great! Also congrats on 200 subs!
Thank you so much! 😊
Same story. Never used OG in handheld, but use Oled all the time everywhere at home
Can I say one thing you are super underrated I thought you had like Millions of subscribers before I saw your sub count keep up the good work
Oh my God 😳 thank you for kind words🥹
all the little upgrades in this are nice, but I feel like most of the reason I want the OLED is 1) the white one looks sleek as hell, but also 2) I’ve heard that the OLED is just generally built better than the regular switch.
@@MaxDendy oh well 😂
I don’t actually like the white, much.
I wish the normal Switch had the same bezel as OLED and white joycons and the nice kickstand, that's it
Got one for nostalgia can play all the Nintendo games pretty much that I played growing up on this thing for $50 a year
bro i dont need 1440 or 4k i only want better graphics and stable fps... if they make new switch like ps4 power im all okey.
what is the reference of your screen please ? 0:29
Exactly. This is what it should’ve been from the start.
How do I trade in my old switch for the new one? Also how much will it cost?
Depends on where you live. You can trade in your old one in GameStop or just sell it on ebay.
I agree but it is what it is but still if in the end of 2022 if a switch pro does not come switch will start Falling in the market n I don't want it to cause its a grt console but it's too weak it's disappointing 😔 wish they will bring a powerful switch in 2022 rather than some shit version again
0:37 how did you use a ps5 controller on switch. I NEED TO KNOW
thats probably his jailbroken switch because theres a plugin that allows you to use any controller or he could of used an 8bitdo usb thingy
I bought switch lite first, then bought regular Switch because i want the option to play on t.v.
Now considering buying a Switch Oled lol.
That was exactly my journey. I knew that I would like the OLED much more because of the bigger screen. Get Switch OLED it won’t disappoint you. 😉
Never owned a switch before. Going to buy the OLED one, so EXCITED. Thanks for this vid👍👍. Keep up the good work👍
Thank you so much! I hope you will happy with your OLED. Let me know when you get it.
I'm used to playing PSP and 3DS (small screens) so normal V2 Switch is perfect for me. The OLED screen actually gives me a headache. Also I play on lower brightness and the screen has an annoying green tint. Yeah for most people, the OLED is great but it's not for me. I'm glad the original Switch came out before OLED
Agree. But it narrow downs to your taste. Some people prefer Steam library games rather Nintendo
@@AthenaAutocross wow that’s crazy 😄 I’m sorry that you use to wait so long. As always, Steam cannot operate this demand. Same happened with their controller as I remember
What is the name of the game in the first video?
JesusChrist loves you. Repent from your sins and follow Him
jesus christ never take responsibility for you on Day of judgement
everyone is responsible for his own soul.only God Almighty forgives sins without any shed of blood
please stop 3 in 1 roman pagans theory, it wil help you nothing
CULT
The reason you don't see Nintendo sales (and shouldn't expect to):
1: Brand preservation
2: People buy the games at full price in incredible numbers

I have a gaming PC with a good monitor. I play Switch for those nintendo exclusives that you gotta have, and PC for everything else.
The quality of your video is amazing! It deserves way more followers! Here's one more +1 ✌
Thank you so much 😍 it so nice to hear. I’m glad you liked it 😇
What games would you recommend That was ported on the switch, not published by nintendo?

Hey, first of all, great video and thanks for the review! But how do you connect your playstation/ xbox controller to the switch, does it just work with bluetooth?
Thanks 😘You will need an adapter. You may check my other videos. I have a couple of tutorials on this
How did you connect the PS5 controller to the switch? Do you use a bluetooth adapter, or it works by default with the switch’s bluetooth?
I want to get a Switch OLED, but I’m not sure if I should invest in an adapter, too.
I have a tutorial for it: ruclips.net/video/q9Z7grZl1co/видео.html
I use an adapter.
PS5 controller works super well. Motion controls work too. If you already have a PS5 controller, you may consider getting the adapter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. 😉
0:02 is that the super mario odyssey? i just got my switch so i'm looking to try out fun games!
Yes, it is Mario odyssey ☺️
Great video, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you 😊
I got my switch in 2018, and i still use the same joy cons as before. never had drift or "wiggle"! also maybe you got the "wiggle" bcuz u dont push the button while putting or removing them from the console?
I want to buy one, even the normal version but I am so scared that I will be dissatisfied or disappointed by the overall optimisation of certain games such as the newest Pokemon. I would get it mainly for staying in bed after a long day at work…but I really don’t know if it’s that worth anymore.
Just get a Lite then
for someone who has a v1 hacked switch, i dunno if its worth the upgrade, since the switch requires soldering and that comes with a risk
I wanna know if the bottoms are more sturdy/less flimsy the Teo I’ve had have been a pain because of how easily the controls break
the color temp of the oled ver. is so different from those old models, which one is more accurate?
Thanks for the video. Btw, which game are you playing at 2:22?

Wow 😯 can you tell me why you prefer the Switch? I see a lot of comments that Steam Deck is better. I don’t have one, but I want to try

Thx bro, I'm getting Nintendo this June and this video really helped me but I have one question wich is itching me really, like are all likd games on OLED like not all games on PS4 are on PS5 so is that the same case with Nintendo switch and Nintendo switch OLED?
I'm glad to help. I hope you feel be happy with your Switch. As far as you question, all switches has the same hardware. so, it is basically just one generation of the console. All games are the same and run the same. no difference what so ever.
