Just because an expectant mother has planned out an adoption that does not mean she is under any obligation to follow through with it after the child is born. Plenty of new moms realize that they cannot part with their child and call the adoption off. There is nothing wrong with that. We should not take the position that a mother has to "keep to her word" and "not break the adoptive parents hearts." Actually, until the adoption happens it is not appropriate to call them adoptive parents, they are prospective adoptive parents. yes but never forget grandparents also sometimes a big help cuz it's very difficult task especially when only some decide to be teen dad's this is very hard topic and very good and bad points but to be truthful sit kids at table explain the situation not just don't have sex but explain consequences too!!
Pepe The Sucker same can be asked about teen marriage in other countries. All countries have their pros and cons. Pregnancy and abortion have declined over the years in U.S.
I say abortion and stuff should still be legal, but it is better to have more prevention beforehand. Even if they want to keep the kid, that's their choice.
Wow these parents are actually calm talking to their pregnant daughter knowing she's pregnant if this were my parents I would get a whooping right away
My mom got pregnant at 15 had her baby at 16 and you know where she is now? She is a registered nurse and my dad who was also young at the time (obviously) is now an office manager. And that baby my older sister is going to school for cosmetology then at 17 she had my second sister and at 20 she had my brother then 21 she had me. There were tough times then when I was kid and there were times where we had nothing to eat but bread but my parents never gave up and worked hard to get where they are. I dont agree with teen pregnancy but if you really work hard to get where you want to be you can still achieve it mother/father or not.
I wanna say that your comment has very much given me more confidence. I am currently 16 and pregnant, I concieved when I was 15. Teen moms can support their children, but it depends how much they want to, how much they want the best for their children. Thank you for commenting your mother's story.
Ooo my mom was the same age and is now a nurse too! That's pretty cool. And yeah even though she could handle it there were some sacrifices made that would have otherwise make her life better. But she said I was worth it and I think most parents in that situation think that way😄
its for the first time i agree to the no in a what would you do... no girl should be a mother at that age. if she fucks when she is 15 whatever its illegal but who cares anymore right. she can destroy her life all she wants idfc but not the baby's. he didnt do shit to deserve that. i mean the correct decision would be abortion but teens think that if they have a child they're lover will never leave, which is the stupidest shit i ever heard.
@Nicole well usually in america or western cultures u would see teens actually having sex and ending up getting pregnant at a young age which is wrong cause there are things meant for different age groups me as an asian have always been taught that, we dont have sex education classes in school and all we have been brought up with good values from our cultures which we r very grateful for. and i feel very bad knowing that there are girls getting raped in many parts of the world and have no choice
That's sad. Indonesia and the United States are so different than Peru. In Peru teen mothers are treated with kindness and respect and much support. It's a stark difference for sure. I was 19 and married when I gave birth to my first child but moving to America as a "teen mom" opened my eyes to just how judgmental and awful people are here. There's this weird dichotomy of sex being this thing that's pushed so much in media/movies in the USA but young pregnancy and parenthood is so evil and taboo. It makes no sense.
Tbh, it's not like the pregnant teen would be the one to pay the kids bills. To the parents, that's another mouth to feed. My brother got his girlfriend pregnant during highschool. They kept her, and my parents were hella mad at first but they accepted it even before the kid was born. They love my nieve but thing is, THEY (and the parents of the girlfriend) pay for everything, and takes care of the baby when my bro at school. It gets tiring for them too, I mean they already have 4 kids to feed, and the additional of my niece was hard. We loved her nonetheless, but the struggle was always there
@@sabias3932 yeah they would but that does not make it right. The teen decided to make a bad decision and forced her parents to live with the consequences.
This is a hard one for me. I had a son at 17 and another at 18. I'm not saying it was easy. I did everything I could to give them everything. I like to say the love especially turned them into who they are today. One college student. One a firefighter. Both concentrating on their careers. I get compliments all the time on how sweet and good they are. I take pride in that, I did it alone for the most part. But, I had to work two jobs to support them in the first 5 years. So I had to leave them often and that broke my heart and to this day, I still feel guilty I couldn't be with them all the time. When I was, I gave them 100pecent. But I do wish I could have given them more of me. They are such great young men now and I couldn't be more proud.
Me too, because it's none of my business and I'm not a mother. But on the inside, I would agree with the parents and hope she gets an open adoption so that she can still be a part of her child's life. The only difference is, she'd be sharing the responsibilities with a family that's better equipped to handle them. In my opinion, people should wait until they're at least 18 or older, mature and in a stable relationship, with a good job and a suitable place to live, before having kids and even at 18 some people are immature. But, stuff happens sometimes and the people who are responsible have to deal with that. I'm glad that's not happening in my family.
Me too. The parents are right and 16 is way too young to have those kind of responsibilities and besides, why was she pregnant in the first place? Oh right, pregnant teens be disobeying their parents 24/7. It's her fault and they should listen to their parents this time around
me too, we do not know the whole story.. maybe the daughter is irresponsible.. if she is responsible, she would've said her plan on keeping the baby and what would she do to still be able to go to school or work while she raise her baby..
To add on to what the first lady said, you also have to think about the people who might later get the baby. They could be going through something difficult and having another adoption fall through could be really difficult.
Dorian how? I’m just saying that she isn’t actually pregnant. Why would someone just think that someone would have really beautiful kids out of nowhere? So I thought that they thought that she was actually pregnant?
Omg. I gave birth to my oldest son when I was 18 and I wouldn't change it for anything. He is my hero. I love all of my children until the end of the earth and more. Never be ashamed. I did it by myself for 17 years.
I’m 17 and if I told my parents I was pregnant they’d go mental. I’m not saying I’m perfect because nobody is but there’s girls I went to school with how are now pregnant with their second baby, I honestly don’t know how they can put themselves in that position, I struggle sometimes to look after my 8month old nephew. And getting pregnant just to get in the show and have fame and money is just wrong.
@@georgiamorris2788 I mean I applaud teen moms but not if they're going it as some publicity stunt that's gross because this isnt just a ticket to fame your bringing a child into the world
Had my oldest at 19…she saved my life. I was on a path of self destruction. She was my wake up call and turned my life around. I was lucky and had amazing supportive parents that supported me through everything. She’s now 29 and I have 2 beautiful grandsons. I support all of my children no matter their decision. (All 6 are almost all adults, one left 😉) But it’s their life, their choice. I raised them as best as I could and respect their choices. That’s just what you have to do as a parent, like mine did with me.
I love the elderly lady's last comment "It makes putting up with him so worthwhile." I've heard that so many times in my life. That grandchildren make everything your children put you through worth it. It's a totally different relationship. There's a freedom to it. I do have an adult son now but have not yet become a grandmother. They're discussing it though, so hopefully within the next 2 or 3 years I will get to be one.

And women should not be made to feel guilty if they ultimately cannot part with their own child. It is not their responsibility to "not break the hearts" of the prospective adoptive parents.
My comment was not written for one faceless person on the internet. It was written for anyone who might be reading it. Coerced adoptions are all too common in this country, and my comment was designed to encourage people to reject one of the most frequently recurring examples of that coercion.

Teens are also having less abortions and pregnancies in 2019. They are utilzing more preventative methods to their advantage.
Yea sterilization of the public seems to be working.
Pepe The Sucker same can be asked about teen marriage in other countries. All countries have their pros and cons. Pregnancy and abortion have declined over the years in U.S.

Thank you for commenting your mother's story.

its for the first time i agree to the no in a what would you do... no girl should be a mother at that age. if she fucks when she is 15 whatever its illegal but who cares anymore right. she can destroy her life all she wants idfc but not the baby's. he didnt do shit to deserve that. i mean the correct decision would be abortion but teens think that if they have a child they're lover will never leave, which is the stupidest shit i ever heard.
Aashish Rao right! & I just had my first baby at 28.
in Indonesia, if a teenager is pregnant under the age she will be labeled as someone who has no honor, unless she is raped
That's how it works in them third world countries
Honestly, American culture and Western culture in general is way too sexualized. It is actually horrific and the effect of bad media.
However, I still disagree with labeling someone as having "no honor". I do not think that is the case in Iran, but I am not sure.
5:44 the girl in the background “can I be on tv too?”
Lol
Omg me
It does effect the whole family, not just the pregnant teen.
We loved her nonetheless, but the struggle was always there
Jasmine Taylor plenty of teen mothers provide for their child on there own, and some might even move out early.
@@sabias3932 yeah they would but that does not make it right. The teen decided to make a bad decision and forced her parents to live with the consequences.
@@izzy9305 move out early and essentially ruin their lives because they cant afford to take care of someone.

The actor is so pretty
Nadia :D that’s why she got pregnant.
I’d stay out of it.
It is her choice, and I do not agree with the parents at all, if she wants to keep her child she can.
I would help them and say it's her discion not her parents and tell her to work out compromise.
me too, we do not know the whole story.. maybe the daughter is irresponsible.. if she is responsible, she would've said her plan on keeping the baby and what would she do to still be able to go to school or work while she raise her baby..

That grandchildren make everything your children put you through worth it. It's a totally different relationship. There's a freedom to it. I do have an adult son now but have not yet become a grandmother. They're discussing it though, so hopefully within the next 2 or 3 years I will get to be one.
