I waited for 15 years! My husband never made a big deal out of it. God blessed us with a baby boy in February, just before I turned 50! God is awesome. I just knew God would do it. It was a matter of time. I went through a lot but my hope in God kept me going and sustained me. It was even in my waiting that I decided to pursue a law degree since I didn’t have a child keeping me busy. It’s that degree that I’m currently using to work. I read Yewande’s book years ago and I was encouraged. My cousin’s story was also highlighted in that book.
Thank you so much for this. My wait was 8 years but I waited in gratitude, with no pressure from my husband and my mother-in-love or anyone from his family and finally, I spent that time completing my doctoral degree. So I finally have my sonshine and my doctorate. I am so thankful that I did not waste my wait. I actually always tell people that I got doctorate while I was waiting to have a child! God bless you ladies ❤️
There are lots of babies in the motherless baby homes - even when you have children already you can adopt as a way to support the community and raise up Godly children
My wait has been the biggest blessing to me. I was so ignorant with so many things and my wait has taught me alotttt about life and today i am a better person.
I really love this discussion. It is very sad that it is we the women who are the number one culprit of what is being discussed. We are the ones that ask those funny questions and humiliat each other. God have mercy on us
I stumbled on this by chance. I believe it has spoken to me. Our African perspective on fertility and marriage really needs to be revisited. People need to learn to be more sensitive to people's feelings. It's not easy..
We might not be able to correct everyone's view because opinion is the cheapest commodity and everyone could afford it. I'll advise just get your happiness from within, don't let anyone's opinion get into you.
InFertility issue is not a joke...the most people that makes u cry while waiting dnt even know they are laughing at u and even though they say sorry a hundred times it’s alrdy done the damages...
I waited to have a child and yes i agree just treat us normal, you don't need to pity us. My friend who always had kids without stressing tells me when ever she writes to say she has given birth "don't border you will have your own" i just couldn't deal with her for real. I started avoiding her like girl did I tell you we were in a competition? Gosh i was just over it.
I am a physician. I would like Nigerians to know that male factors make up 50% of the potential causes of infertility in a couple. In our society, women seem to unfairly share more of the burden.
God's got times and seasons in His hands. Trust Him, He is never late. Please, don't seek help outside Jesus. Your testimony is guaranteed in Jesus name.
I waited for 4 years and I must say it was not fun. People should learn to be sensitive, read the room, know what the person waiting needs ,don't impose your views and what you think should be on people in that position.

I guess I'm pretty off topic but do anyone know a good place to stream new series online?
Those who disliked this episode, may God come down and give you the satisfaction you want.

We really need to be more sensitive to what people are going through in Nigeria and not make things wise for them emotionally.

Can’t people adopt or foster a child while waiting?

If Olayinka and his wifey isn't comfortable with adoption then YES please, family should be a deciding factor for them. let them do as they please.
It is not easy to wait
