It's moments like this that really show what this show is all about... Not the swearing- Dope -liquor fuelled mayhem... Those are just the things that tie down the show to reality... What the show is really about is their sense of community and "how far their willing to go to make each other happy for that brief moment"

I would have thought this would have been obvious considering the guitars aren't mic'd, and would not sound anywhere near that crisp from just being picked up on a boom mic.
the cast all wear lapel mics. i wouldn't be surprised if they mic'd the guitars for this. it's not a low-budget show, they don't record the whole thing on one boom.
I love how Ricky and Julian are just Chillin in the background. Ik it’s acting, but it seems very candid like they’re actually enjoying the moment. Tpb seasons 1-7 is unmatched.
This is the best moment in the entire show, and here’s why: It caps off what I refer to as the holy trinity of trailer park boys episodes, s3e3-5 (if I can’t smoke and I can’t swear I’m fucked!, microphone assassin, and of course closer to the heart) this trilogy completely embodies why this show works. Unique high jinx and brilliant characterization. Also the part where they get kicked out of the arena, get a cab back to the park and literally step out of the cab back into the sewer is the single funniest shot ever in tv

Every time I see Bubbles, it feels like he is the embodiment of my childhood condensed into a person, trying to stay innocent and happy. Every time something good happens to Bubbles it feels like a milestone.

Clear as day: Guitars come into unison (I’m from Halifax, so I already know Mike Smith as a musician) and all I can think to myself is _“Are they gutsy and smart enough to actually let him sing? Please tell me Bubbles is going to sing…”._ Every fucking time it gets me. Every fucking time. I can only imagine how fucking great JP and Robb must have felt, just to be standing there in the background. Such a wonderful moment.

Mike Smith is an asshole that even though he created the character didn't understand it and once Mike Clattenburg stopped writing for the show bubbles turned into a joke. Michael Jackson the actor that played Trevor saw the show becoming a bastardized version of it's former self and left never to return..
This makes we want to smile and cry at the same time....I can't help but think of Neil whenever I hear a Rush song. He really deserved to age gracefully and enjoy a peaceful retirement for all that he gave to his fans.
Alex just being Alex is simply great, always. RIP Neil. Can't imagine what Alex and Geddy and the entire Rush family is feeling right now, but I wish all of them the best and I hope they realize how much their fans love and support and miss all of them!!
Thanks for posting this. Just watched this episode. Amazing. Seen Rush a few times in my younger days, just now getting around to watching TPB's. .... from the beginning each show seemed to have a moment that was actually very sentimental. This is beyond anything I had ever expected.

Mike Clattenburg is completely responsible for it too. I grew up dating a girl in a trailer park and the first few seasons took me right back to that time of my life. Season 4 onward is drivel.

Rush is my favorite band, and seeing bubbles and Alex lifeson play closer to the heart actually made me a little teary eyed.
One of my favorite TPB moments. It's so good to see Bubbles get a genuinely golden moment like this amidst the shit that's been his life so far.
