Great presentation! Just curious, are there any revealing NTSB investigations of accidents caused by the prop failure? I googled and noticed that majority of prop failure accidents are dealing with someone taking off with the large chip in their prop leading to eventual blade fragmentation. But has there been other instances where prop was visibly OK, but wasn't overhauled last 6 years ago as per manufacturer instructions.
Per an unnamed expert in the field….”do not service your governor unless it has an issue”. Personally, between governors, constant speed props, electric fuel pumps, injectors, etc., I am really put off by manufacturers fear mongering. The only items that require time based IRAN’s are the mags. The rest are as required.
Hi Jeff, interesting presentation from Hartzel. I have spoken to you before regarding my Titan T51 …I’m interested to know if the prop being designed by Haryzel for your Titan will also fill the obvious void in the market needed for the up engined versioned T51’s ?
