    I just got a 2015 Q50 with all the bells and whistles. All I can saw is WOW! She's a beast. The stereo is phenomenal. You cannot hear any outside noise, especially with the stereo turned up. It's a smooth ride, and very fun to drive, especially on a windy road. Can I say fast? Her get up and go, goes. Oh, and my friends do say her lights look MEAN! The only think I don't care for are the mats. They do pick up (and hold) every bit of lint, cat hair, etc. Oh, and Idid't like the steering wheel at first, it felt funny and I chalked it up to the heated steering wheel function, but now that I've been driving her for a couple of weeks, it feels much better. I guess the oils from your hands make it feel much better. All in all, I LOVE my car!

    I just switched from a Lexus IS250 to the Infiniti Q50 and I must say that I glad I made the switch. Dont get me wrong I love the exterior of the new IS but I just cant get over the interior in the new model. The Infiniti Q50 looks amazing inside and out and it drives like a dream. I will admit they need to work out the bugs in the new Intouch system but its not a deal breaker for me because the system works and provides a lot of different option to keep you connect to the outside world while in the car.

    If 330 hp isn't enough for you, you could always buy a twin turbo kit from gtm.GTM makes twin turbo kits for the vq37vhr which is also used in the infiniti g37 and nissan 370z. Their TT kit makes about 550 whp(about 630 engine hp) at 10 psi.The Q50's engine has also been tested and it can make 550 whp reliablly for a daily driver and weekend cars can make 600 rwhp+ at 12 psi. Thats enough power for the Q50 to make mid 10 sec to low 11 sec et 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 3 secs!

    Exhaust System Premature Rusting on the Infiniti Q50 sedan. If you have or know someone with a Q50 or a Q50 hybrid for the last 10-13 months or 10,000 to 14,000 miles., take a moment to look under vehicle to inspect entire exhaust system especially resonators, muffler and dual tail pipes for premature rust. Infiniti dealerships are not covering any type/alternative replacement exhaust system or catalyst converter for free. I have notified Infiniti Affairs concerning this matter.

      Mr. E I did the same and ended up buying the TLX. The best way to decide is to determine what your priority is. If you are looking for comfort cruiser that is rare and take roadtrips, take the TLX. If you want sporty looks and plan to use the vehicle to turn heads and don't plan on long distance driving, get the Q50.

A much improved vehicle over the G35/37 from 2007-2013 in terns of style, room, comfort, quietness, performance, steering, technology, and fuel economy. The drive select system will also allow you to personally custom your engine-transmission/steering preferences. A outstanding vehicle with Sport/Deluxe/Tech.

    I agree with design is isn't too futuristic like lexus is350 and isn't too conservative like german auto makers. It strikes nice balance between being modern with advance technology and it not isolate potential buyers by going to high tech. I can't wait for Q60 coupe. Power isn't too important because its strong engine internals can handle the boost of after market supercharger, twin turbo and single turbo kits. After market support will be strong because jdm tuner car in tuxedo =)

    It is tough to beat a g37. I fix them at work and all I can say is top notch on all aspects. As good as a Benz I think. I think it is a looser strategy to dump a name that is almost a legend. Rename it to g37 because people trust that name.

  • @samhyomin899
    @samhyomin899 11 лет назад +1

    German automakers never come with the after market support you'll get from a jdm sports car, a twin turbo 560 rwhp(about engine 640 hp) @ 10 psi (it's barely breathing at this boost level) that makes supercars that are 3x times more expensive look slow IS NOT BORING!!! The trill of shocking ferrari owners who thought you just own a luxury family sedan.Do you know there is TT v36 skyline 370gt(g37) and fairlady z(370z) that make 600 rwhp reliably on stock engine & make low 11 sec 1/4 mile?

    I picked up a used one about 3 months ago. All the toys. As a car it’s nearly perfect. My only gripe: a/c seats are not available at any price. @93455Driver 11 лет назад

    While the tech in steering, throttle response was covered, the reviewer did not get into the suspension setting. Reading Motortrend, they were critical of this area - I think a car that wants to compete with Audi, BMW etc. and now even the Caddie ATS has to have at least the option of high adjustable suspension. The ability to go from an interstate cruiser to a canyon hustler is a must on these $30,000 + "sporty" sedans.

    wow, thanks, I actually didn't know that! the only problem is, for the average buyer, they won't know that. To them, the rear looks like a Mazda 6 or Hyundai Genesis. I own both a G37s and now a Q50s Hybrid and can attest to the fact that the Q50 is faster, more refined, and more luxurious. Also, the car looks very good and I have received numerous compliments on its aesthetics. The steer-by-wire is fine for this aggressive driver and the interior is one of the best I've seen. My only qualm is with the regenerative brakes which can be very finicky. Otherwise, this is a better value than you would get with German competitors and comes with more power and torque.

Hopefully the new one will be better looking. I'm not a huge fan of Acura, but mechanically, they build very good cars. Styling seems to be their main issue.

    Technically, yes they did. BMW also changed their 3 series coupe name designation to the 4 series coupe. All manufacturers are trying to revive their brands by offering what people may think is a new product when in fact it is the redesign of a new car with a different name. This a marketing strategy, it allows manufacturers to open a market for new customers with a lower or higher price tag then the previous 3 series coupe which btw is now discontinued due to the new 4 series aka (3 series).

    Because Q will be used for the whole Infiniti range. Q60 will presumably be the name of a new sports coupe based on this sedan or, more simply, the new name of the G37 Coupe. Q70 will be the M's new name. The number stands now for the market placing, and not the engine anymore. When the new naming will be extended to the whole range, SUVs included, it'll make sense.

  • @manuel0689
    @manuel0689 11 лет назад

    for me its not renaming a car, its more like bringing back the Q line, I drive an infiniti Q45 and its the same concept as this car, a sport sedan. My car is a 4.5 liter V8 but only produce 340hp, this new improve Q series can produce 20 more horsepower with an smaller engine while also improving in mpgs. the last year they produce the Q45 was in 2006 and 8 years later here we have its came back. This is a familiar move with cars manufactures

    actually it goes over 48k the hybrid i believe starts at 48k without options added on so its safe to say this car could get towards the high 50's. and with tax maybe 60k, not worth it at all..

    Should of put a turbo engine with a little more power standard in the Q50. Mistake my opinion of keeping the same power.

    I love the way it looks. Much better than the G37 IMO. To me, it has the size of an E-class Mercedes benz without the price. Much larger rear seat than the Lexus IS or the BMW 3 series. Much lower cost of ownership than BMW or MB. Lastly, I can get all wheel drive for snow skiing for under $50,000:) WINNING!

    I still don't understand why they would change the nomenclature of their vehicles again maybe its just a personal preference issue on my part but I feel like a name means something for example mercedes keeping the e and s classes distinctively as such for over 50 years or so in my opinion it gives a brand a feeling of stability besides them posting good sales quarterly

      Same here! How odd! I really like the capability of the 4 wheel drive since I’m going to school in Colorado possibly. But I’ll rarely take it off road so I think I’ve decided to go for the Infiniti.

    In my opinion, the only mistake Infiniti made with this car is changing its name. Should just called it the new G37, avoid confusing current customers. BMW and Merc did not rename their 3 series or c-classes.

    Infiniti is on top of its Game and im sure this Q50 will sell way more units then G37 with no problem Good Job Infiniti Now just Need to Invest in a Adaptive Suspension System and have sebastian vettel tune it and after that this will be the best Sport sedan in the Segment

    You clearly have no idea about cars.. The Infiniti Q50 is based off the essence concept which has been out since 2009. the grille of the Q50 is the same one found on the existing FX37. Lexus didn't debut the GS concept till last year so if its some one imitating its surely not Infiniti. The Q50 is Infiniti's evolutionary design. They have been steering in this direction for years with their concepts, lexus comes out with a spindle grille out of NO WHERE! It was a mandatory change they had to do.

    The fact that they purposely left out that it's the Q50s, which means it has paddle shifters makes me mad. Its not just an automatic.

      Then you would need to get the base model by my understanding for 2014. What a bummer I really like the sport model but has steer by wire

    Nice, thanks man. I just saw right now, kinda sad that it looks just like the 2011 IPL G coupe. Hopefully Infiniti upgrades it a bit more to contrast.

    BMW did rename their 3 series coupé and convertible as a 4 series. All coupés and convertibles will be in even numbers while the sedans will remain in odd numbers.

    Infiniti earned quite a reputation in the market because of the G. Renaming all their models is not really a good idea. It'll just cause more confusion.

    Guys the naming is kind of Audi like, they are changing there naming philosophy, the Q50 is this one and maybe a higher level will be Q60 or 70, so the numbers don't stand for engine capacities any more. I think that the M and the G are going away soon (as names)

    A 53,000+ vehicle such as this Infiniti Q50 should include cup holder covers, heated/cooled front seats, rear heated seats, power folding outside mirrors, and rear power shade. For 10-13k less also have an interest in a Chrysler 300/Dodge charger and a Hyundai Genesis they all have climate controlled front seats and Rear HEATED seats. The Chrysler 300 and Hyundai Genesis have a POWER rear shade. Also the new 2014 Lexus IS and Acura TL advance have available cooled/heated front seats...
