I actually opted to get a 3.7 cause of your videos and here’s my take. I hang out with a lot of other Infiniti owners so I’ve been able to see 2.0T’s/3.0T’s, if you can opt for the sport. It’s minimal but the sport bumper just has a more aggressive look and brakes look better. On warm days my stock 3.7 will easily take out a 3.0T, now cold days different story, but it’s not by a lot. The interior to a 2022 isn’t honestly not that different. Sure there are things the display can do that mine can’t but it’s very little and wasn’t a deal breaker. Stock 3.7 can outrun a lot of vehicles out right now. I’m surprised the vehicles I’ve been able to beat. It’s a solid car. Also a lot of friends have all blown turbos on their 17-20 Q’s. Oh and we don’t have to worry about heat soaking or the engine getting too hot.
My take as a 3.7 owner I’m in love and wouldn’t have chosen anything else

However all in all the engine is pretty much bullet proof, I just hit 100k recently on mine and the only major issue was the valve body going out on me. Theres some small issues that I notify every 3.7 hr owner I meet because iv yet to see a 3.7 without it unless they already fixed it. Im personally torn because im looking into selling before I get more mileage on it to eventually either get a 3.0 or another 3.7 since I still love the platform. I bought mine back in either 2019 or 2020 with about 60k miles so far the market is shooting up for my vehicle but dont want to have to wait 3+ years in order to get another one 😢.

In 2016 when I bought my used 2013 G37xS sedan I was 31 and confident it was an older person who leased it for its first 3 years. In 2022? All the lease returns that are "supposed to have been well maintained" are 3.0T models. Turbo in a daily? Nah. So you're right, getting a reliable 3.7 model from Infiniti's golden era comes down to vehicle history now. I would buy a known quantity (records) that is 6-8 years old over an unknown turbo car that is 3-4-5 years old. Manufacturers took BMW's cue from the 2000's and are now building in heavy vehicle repairs in their business models.
