I so enjoyed the conversation between Dr. Miller and Dr. Schoen about Dr. Miller's legacy in furthering the research and public awareness of all things sensory. What a treasure!

Sensory processing disorder. Would that fall under the umbrella of autistic spectrum disorders. It seems there are so many different aspects of learning disabilities I've been made aware of recently lived with being on the outside it seems all of my life, not being able to fit in just the sound of certain people's voices will send me into a hyper vigilant emotional state. I'm central processing disorder, sensory processing disorder dyslexic ADHD disorganized attachment disorder other than that I'm quite normal. They all seemed to represent pieces to the puzzle that fit. I'm easily overwhelmed. I prefer things to be predictable black and white repetitive I did really well in the tech industry when it comes to extremely tedious work. The ability to hyperfocus. Kind of like setting up Domino's in a row thousands of them pushing one over and watching all the others react. Easily taken advantage of. I'm not naïve. I've seen too many things in my life. I'm 66 years old and just becoming aware of some of these things strange looking back it makes sense why I had so many problems walking through life. Adding a few more ingredients to the soup CPTSD extreme childhood abuse and neglect, the mind is amazing how it can navigate through all of those obstacles
