- This video features a compilation of bass blowing up on hollow body frogs that I've filmed the past few months. These videos are filmed in local ponds but are not "trained" fish. I did lose a lot of fish because of most of the bass eating the frog were smaller. This video was filmed with a Sony Rx10 iii during the hot summer months in Texas. If I had to guess, it's because you have restricted water access and a short season. I'm in central Florida, the fish bite almost all year,but almost all the lakes are residential locked. I can't imagine what it's like where waterfront is scarce and the seasons are intense..

Dope that you purposefully cast onto the bank and drag it down to make it look like a frog jumping into the water. Plenty of bass sit at the banks edge waiting for something like that to happen and it's super awesome!

I weedless rig big curly tail worms and do this from a kayak. It looks like a snake slithering. The look like orcas when they hit it.

I had a frog bait oh hell 30 years back called Super-frog or Wonder-frog. It claimed to be a weedless lure, where it could never get snagged. FYI it could. I never got it to work at least like the hits you had. But then again I was like 8yrs old so.

I believe it was bought out by Harrison Hogue industries and they continued to make it and may even still make it but I haven’t seen one for sale in years I have one of each type hanging on a rod rack in the garage retired em long ago

Yes, in the mouth of a creek / river ..I use spinner baits as well ...the more clear the water is the better..try it good luck

The frog lure was so light colored I didn't know what it was. I thought it was a weird looking mouse daring to cross the pond on top of lily pads. I'm not familiar with the term bass blowing up. Assume that means bass coming for the lure or taking the lure (getting hooked).
