bruh, I didn't learn anything. I wanted to learn how to get sub-1 second (I was already sub 2 sec btw). This video was totally useless. I had already learnt how to execute the last 3 pairs of F2L and last layer in one algorithim. All I had to do was do Cross + 1, and then 1 algorithim to solve the whole thing. It took me a few centuries (jk, it only took precisely 29 years) to 1-look the whole cube. I usually average around 1.8 seconds at comps and around 1.5 at home. I don't know why I'm so much faster at home but I guess sometimes the nerves are getting to the best of me. I followed the tips of this tutorial, and I slowed down to around sub-30. This was so useless. Please make more advanced tutorials. I'm just kidding. Nice tutorial. Anyone using the begginers method should follow along!!

It's called "Sexy Move" because R U R' U' is an order-six algorithm . That means if you do the algorithm six times in a row, without reorienting the cube, the cube will return to the order it was in before you did the algorithm the first time. Try it with a solved cube to verify this truth. The Latin word for six is sex. One can refer to someone or something attractive as 'sexy.' Quickness, efficiency, and ease of operation can be referred to as being sexy in some contexts. The algorithm is the fastest and easiest one to learn and master and is the most commonly used algorithm in cube solving. Almost anyone can make it look like sleight of hand or magic, performing it so quickly that it is nearly impossible for the untrained eye to track or count the moves. In this context, the algorithm could be described as a sexy move. At the same time, some have presumed another derivation of the term and suppose that there is a sophomoric explanation.

Thanks for subbing! And are you talking about the corners after you do the bottom cross, or the corners in the final step? For the bottom ones near the start of the solve, yeah you have a lot more freedom for how you want to solve them. Sexy moves is the most simple way, but there are other ways that are sometimes faster For the corners in the last step, unfortunately sexy moves are necessary to do because otherwise it will mess up the whole cube if you try solving the corners your own way
