I first started to watch this show for lee yuri but after suyong appered i have watched his all episodes both of them are good but suyong is the soul of this show.... i love them and the receipes are always so easy and mouth watering.... lots of love from Pakistan😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
As someone from a Middle Eastern background and who grew up eating hummus it is so funny to me to see all these people saying things like "What does it taste like?" and giving it this full introduction. I'm just so used to it but I'm so happy more people are learning about it. Of course it isn't really authentic (it's missing tahini and pork is rarely eaten in the Middle East) but I think it is a good introduction.
But most of the middle East ppl dont eat bacon

What makes hummus have that gritty like texture? The chickpeas? Sorry just asking since ive been curious and dont know much about hummus. I tried it once. Personally I dont like chickpeas but the hummus i tried didnt taste like chickpeas. my husband loves chickpea soup and my mom loves chickpea milk.
@@BatmanPwnage Usually if your hummus is gritty, that means the chickpeas weren't boiled to soften completely or the garlic pieces and other spices you may add haven't blended properly. Though it's your choice if you want to have a more chunky hummus or completely smooth. If you want it smooth then make sure to boil the chickpeas thoroughly ( squish it in your hand to check if it's soft or hard) this blended with olive oil will emulsify and give you your desired smooth texture. Honestly, a good blender is key.
@@BatmanPwnage the main secret to smooth hummus is to remove the chickpea skin before blending it with Tahini. It will give it a smoother texture. You can just run the chickpeas in water and rub them, and the skin will fall off and float on the water surface. Try it! Works EVERY time
Not the most original hummus recipe but it fits the Korean palate, it's nice seeing him try foods from diverse regions
I hear adding baking soda in while the chickpeas are boiling makes them softer and therefore smoother when blending
Also if you’re soaking your dried chickpeas instead of using canned you can add baking soda to help speed up the process!

Yes but this editing is just off to me, they play into stereotypes too much, and only play either this song or the other 3 idiots songs, I just find it off putting. Why play songs that have no connection with the content you’re showing.
I don’t see the problem here. It’s just like when foreign broadcasting talk about Korean culture, they will play BTS song or other famous kpop songs too.
@@alexleonardo2028 imagine if a talkshow played that music every time any part of the middle east or south Asia was mentioned... it's ignorant bordering on worse. Playing kpop when talking about Korea is relevant because 1) its the right country, 2) its a modern worldwide trend today, not some movie's soundtrack from like 2003

I expected tahini. People who visit this video for a recipe should also try to make hummus with tahini. It will be a different taste from this recipe.

Hi Suyong, you can the boil the cheak peas, grind it (half way for texture sake). and add tomato & garlic(roasted, ) coriander/parsley, olive oil, and rock salt ,pepper, onion, (rest all your creativity for good salad. good diet meal.
Also, secret tip add tea leave water to enhance the taste of cheekk peas while boiling. (it helps in digestion)
Putting meat(ham at that) is Soyoung's version. It should just be olive oil and herbs. Then eat with pita, superb.

Exactly. That's hummus. Just add salt, black pepper and olive oil. It's the standard hummus. But you can improvise it and make it more special.
