One thing I found out about this trick. Xu shu has to be kept occupied. If he walks into the area when you are destroying the juggernauts, they will become allies and you won't be able to destroy them no more.
You'll be able to level up EVEN FASTER if you keep spamming the fifth strong attack on the throwing axes. Using the fifth strong attack ONCE puts down about 50 juggernauts. So if you have a x2 attack powerup, 100!
FYI the specific objectives for getting five star weapons are unlocked after completing all story missions including hypothetical and branch stages. Go to the gallery and then weapons.
The glitch if it stops, can be continues if you lure both of the juggernatus into the corner and kill them both with the same attack. When it respawns let it sit for a bout a second, and then start attacking.

thanks jerzeeboii, you've helped me a lot but recently I tried zhong hui's 5th weapon or my flying swords and went from about level 35 to 99 in close to five minutes. even kept doing it on hard and it worked just as easy.
Note: You do not have to do all the timelines in this vid. You can Kill up to Yi Ji Leave Rest alone as it slows the game down. Then you can rush to Yueying and kill her (everyone except Xu Shu) Xu Shu my ignore yueying and can't kill her. (there is a timeline that Cao Cao Orders all officers to attack this is one you want to trigger, this is gotten after dealing with the fire attack)
***** I don't know how to explain Jerz because in your video it seems to be so simple but in 360 I think there's a right time to do that because it's not always that the Juggernaut keeps spawning but it works well anyway! Thanks...
Skills: Quick Learner + Attack Boost + Havoc + Victory Cry Weapon: Throwing Axes (+ Velocity 10) + Bow & Rod (+ Cyclone 10) (This gear is basically one shot everyone btw) is what I'd bring, basically a mean bean level up machine Route: Beat fire troops, clap Zhao Yun, then book it southside (through Meng Huo and Zhurong). You can also follow the route Jerz takes but idk if I'd want to waste some time going through the whole naval assault debaucle. P.S. Version: DW8 (not DW8XL nor DW8XLCE) as it seems DW8XL onwards have patched this glitch
Are you playing with the patch? Or not I play on xbox360 patch 3 and it doesn't work, should I do it without the update? But if I do that the game will be very slow
I'm thinking of buying this on Switch soon? Would you say it's worth it. Yes I know it's a 4 year old port for a game that was already old by that point. But the amount of content in the base game AND the Switch version contains all the dlc, is really tempting. It does look fun.
This is just something I noticed when I did it. I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone though. I noticed in the vid, that you were attacking the Juggernaughts from the side. If you attack it from the front, the kills and XP rack up faster. It did with me anyway. I noticed the gaps in respawning (like if your attack moved you into its respawn spot) were less frequent as well
I'm playing on ps4 idk if that makes a difference. If I defeat yueying b4 juggernauts, the health bar disappears, if I defeat juggernauts b4 yueying they keep spawning. I'll just die by yueying that way...
@w5cx7tr7w It's in the video, Jerz explains it within the first 30 seconds. The mission is unlocked as the final level for Wei's hypothetical route, you have to do all the star objectives on the missions before it to unlock it.

I think the reason it works b/c it tries to spawn both juggernauts in the corner, and with Jia Chongs it kills both each time you attack, I tried with the Throwing Knives and it didn't work at all.
Maybe you can clear the cache (remove any updates) and play offline and try it? I have not tried this level up glitch yet but if it doesn't work I will try what I said and see.
Damn, doesn't work on the PS4 version. Juggernauts are unbreakable on DW8XL. I don't know if it's like that with Empires or the regular version (I assume they're still unbreakable with those versions for the PS4).
It's an old patch he's playing on if you notice his max character levels are 99 and we can level up our characters to lvl150 now on dw8 xl complete edition so you can assume it dosent work on any console or pc

I just simply use the gold to buy Exp in Academy/Ambition mode. 1 thing i do hate about this game is it’s grinding, base dw8 has 99 max lvl while xlce takes up to 150
I only did this with Jia Xu for The Destroyer trophy cause after getting the Vocal Enthusiast trophy I had leveled up all the characters at level 90 so the glitch here wasn't really necessary.
Guys, I have a tip for you if juggernauts don't spawn after you kill Yue Ying. Try to get Yue Ying follow you to an officer nearby and she will fight them, This gives you a chance or I once did was I lured Yue Ying outside the square and she just stayed there till I killed her! Also if you play Xu Shu, you have to do this or he will capture the juggernauts and make them allies and try to keep Xu Shu busy if you are playing another character so he doesn't come near Yue Ying. This still works for PS3
It works on Xbox but the trick is to kill both juggernauts during any kind of dialogue sequence then wait in the corner for the to spawn. NOT killing officers is key too.
I tried heading south and unfortunately the gates are sealed so there is now way through. I believe they open after you defeat Yueying, so circling back through the garrison appears to be your only option. Thanks for this guide btw. It makes leveling characters I don't really like playing a breeze.
I actually just got it, I am not sure what exactly triggers it, I've doen exactly as you. And then if I kill the juggernauts in the corner and attack the respawning one with the same attack (since Dual Axes attacks 2 times each hit) then sometimes I get it, its random it seems though.
I'm curious because what exactly constitutes as a "fast" weapon besides Jia Chong's throwing axes. Like would Zhang Bao's flail sword of Xu Shu's sword and hook be fast?
I'm starting to think it might not work that well on the 360 anymore. Been trying it for a while and they do respawn, but not instantly like in the video.
Do you use the update or not for the game? I play on Xbox360 using title update 3 bugs not running do I have to play without the update for the giltch to work?
Do you have to circle all the way back to the main camp then to that garrison or couldn't you just head directly south? P.S. I haven't unlocked that mission yet so I don't know.
Just did some testing on the DW8XL Release on Steam: Only way to get the juggernaughts to spawn infinitely is to keep Yueying alive, they also don't spawn in the corner all the time, their spawn rate is like ~5-8 seconds and you need to kill a shitload to even levelup. All in all, not worth it anymore.
Yeah it's too bad, the only good way to level now is by spending 1k gold on Yan Province at the Barracks and doing a quick battle in ambition mode, then sell the elephant you get for 15k which you buy a few XP boosts with at the academy. Still plenty of glitches to work with on the PC version though! But mostly for going through levels quickly...
Shikkoku no Kishi im playing with pc and im relatively new to Dw last one ive played was DW5 XL and now its so different finished story mode all officers are lvl 30-50 how does ambition work? and how do u consistently get 4 star weapons without getting shitty 1-3 stars
Nebi Mekonnen Not sure if you still need help, but you get 4 star weapons if you play the later levels on higher difficulties. The weapon drops are mostly based on the map you're playing on, so if you're playing on Lu Bu's hypothetical story final chapter, you can probably get some 4 star weapons. Ambition mode has 2 parts, one where you build up your palace so the emperor visits your 'country', you do that by playing skirmishes and getting all officers/maxed fame etc. After that it turns into a mode where you have battles where you have to 'capture' areas of the map. You do that by fighting battles and conquering them, mostly by capturing areas on the map which give morale bonuses/reïnforcements etc. to your troops. The more bases you have at the end of the battle, the higher your capture % is. It's also dependant on which difficulty you play it on. Note that when you enter the second part, you lose pretty much all your officers, including the levels you can give them as bodyguards, so don't waste too much time leveling everybody up.
For Xu Shu just don't kill Yue Ying, there's a vid that shows u how to do it. I have leveled up lots of characters using this glitch but the glitch only comes out randomly 4 me at times, my ? is, what is the method that ur using to make it respawn shown in the video bcuz when I do it sometimes they disappear and only 1 shows up after I've destroyed the other one, I follow ur guide exactly the way it's shown on the vid but it works randomly, but u seem 2 get it out perfectly each time.

This glitch however everytime I follow what you do (I dont have red hare or best weapons yet) I equip the throwing axes as you did in the video but they keep disappearing on me and one always spawns behind me, and when I do get to hit them they disappear before i can kill them but it does give me the KO for busting it, not leveling either :(
I'm trying to think of any reason to do this beyond the siege weapon trophy. The academy in the ambition mode will allow you to level up to 99 in seconds... not sure what the point is of a level up glitch...
This glitch costs you nothing. I'd rather save my money for boosting stats/making powerful weapons in ambition mode than on levels personally, but if you rather use the money then by all means go for it. I find it odd how you don't see a point in a level up glitch, but came to see it anyway. o.o The title/thumbnail more than described itself... anyway, thanks for passing by regardless.
Just tried this, followed the vid exactly, but when I get to the area I will destroy a couple of the things in that corner but then they stop spawning there an I just end up with 2 behind me. I kill those and go back to this corner and the same again. They don't seem to constantly spawn in 1 location. Am I doin something wrong? :P

Help! It's not working, I defeat yue ying and the juggernauts but when more respawn they start as whiope juggernauts and spawn behind me!? Also I used lu bu and his fifth weapon, does that have something to do with it?
I use the same weapon but it doesn't hit as insane as you hit Jerz! Is there anything wrong? While you hit like 53~54 'chain' per combo I hit miserable 16 lol it takes too long to level up ): any tip?

I looked up other guides. They said that you have to stop the fire attack as well. Really easy considering it's the first objective you get

i'd suggest equipping havoc, allows for 2 or so additional kills per kill on most weapons,
If you attack it right away, I think the CPU switches the spawn. If you wait a second. Then attack it seems to work a lot better.

What is fun about hours and hours of frinding over and over again on 40+ characters... to each their own I guess.

So you have to Complete the star guide on Fan castle to unlock Baidi castle? Because I dont have Baidi castle as a stage on Wei

I think that the throwing axes are the best because they attack multiple times with each throw.
This does still work, Doing it with Zhao Yun as i'm typing this comment, but like the description says it doesn't seem to work with Xu Shu.

I find it odd how you don't see a point in a level up glitch, but came to see it anyway. o.o The title/thumbnail more than described itself... anyway, thanks for passing by regardless.
Bummer, the glitch no longer works. They just dont spawn anymore.

I found out that speed is also important so Jerzeeboi. How do I have the red hare. Any method would be much appreciated!!
Confirmed .... Today is February 18th...time will vary depending on factors (ie low quick learner) but it does work :)

It does work on 360, but to a MUCH lesser degree. Also, NEVER delete the patch, play, then download the patch. It completely wipes your saves...yay.
How come when I did as you said, it doesn't work. I managed to do it for Zhou Tai but the glitch works halfway for Lu Xun
Just tried this, followed the vid exactly, but when I get to the area I will destroy a couple of the things in that corner but then they stop spawning there an I just end up with 2 behind me. I kill those and go back to this corner and the same again. They don't seem to constantly spawn in 1 location. Am I doin something wrong? :P

I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if it's patched, but it doesn't seem to be working in extreme legends steam edition.

Help! It's not working, I defeat yue ying and the juggernauts but when more respawn they start as whiope juggernauts and spawn behind me!? Also I used lu bu and his fifth weapon, does that have something to do with it?
jerz this didn't work out for me and the juggernauts kept spawning different places!
but i kill one and then the other spawns outside of the castle wall primarily.
I use the same weapon but it doesn't hit as insane as you hit Jerz! Is there anything wrong? While you hit like 53~54 'chain' per combo I hit miserable 16 lol it takes too long to level up ): any tip?
