Love the fact that you ride and enjoy the area... instead of bombing down the road at 80+... simple cruize. and always enjoy a good beers....

You know it brother. I rather cruise and enjoy my time instead of hauling ass and your ride be done. We get to enjoy ourselves riding slow and take in the scenery. I have never seen anyone rock climb this area and people should. The rock formations are to awesome to not want to climb. I am not saying I will lol, but I would love to see someone do it. You know it bud, I always got to have a cold beer at the end of the day. I'll be back to this area in winter. Summer is just a bit to warm out here even though the elevation is all above 7500ft.

With a morning sky like that, coffee mountains that is relaxation right there. It's amazing how quick the sky changes. Humidity up here in Eastern Canada the Fredericton area is ridiculous. It could be 28 degrees celsius and with the humidity it jacks it up to a sweltering 36 degree celsius. Not sure what that is in farenheit.
Beautiful mountains down in New Mexico!

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  2 года назад +1

That is crazy. I would imagine the humidity can be terrible in your neck of the woods. In the mountains the humidity doesn’t feel near as bad because the high elevation keeps in feeling cooler. I’ll have to look that up on how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. I appreciate man. This is the southwestern part of New Mexico. The mountains in Northern New Mexico are way different. Take care and thanks for dropping by.

Man-o-man! I love that area. My favorite section of NM is the rectangle shape from
    Socorro:North
    T or C:South
    Ruidoso:East, all the way to
    Arizona Border:West
I've yet to get out enough and see more of it but that's my favorite.
Btw my nephew and I just started hunting last year. We drew Unit 18. We're liking it around Chupadera Mesa (near Carrizozo) and Cerro Del La Campana (near Trinity entrance). We're total noobs but nothing beats riding around and glassing.

Hey man. Thanks, I love this part of New Mexico. The temperature change is crazy in New Mexico. The elevation is the reason why it can change drastically. Cold winters and hot summers. But even in summer the high country, which is what we call it, can drop 30 plus degrees. New Mexico is so unique because its desert and high elevation mountains. Mountains above 12,000ft and 13,000ft where snow stays into summer. Cheers bud.

WOW! That was a beautiful blue sky in the morning when you were drinking your coffee. Looked like the absolute perfect day.
5:39 - So, if Lone Mountain was around 9,000 ft, you guys must have already been sitting over 7,000 ft at this point? WOW! That's amazing because some of the peaks we were sitting on top of in my last mountain videos were only 7,000 ft.
You sure climbed high to place that trail cam. I would have done that in my younger years, but not now because I know I'd have to climb it again to retrieve the camera - HAHAHA!!!
15:00 - I grew up eating antelope and other wild meat. There are lots here in Saskatchewan. We call them "Speed Goats". Not sure if that's a Saskatchewan nickname or a universal one???
I was trying to follow along with you on Google Earth, but I don't think I was successful because I have Lone Mountain on the east side of the Rio Grande (just south of Carrizozo) and Monument Rock on the est side of the Rio Grande (just north of Datil), approx 133 miles apart as the crow flies. So I'm pretty sure I had the wrong Lone Mountain - lol. Did you head north from camp in the morning?
    34:07 - Mmmmmm, jalapeno peppers!
The Game Cam - "Missed it by THAT much" - oh well, better luck next time.
    Excellent video!

The skies in New Mexico are so blue sometimes it is unreal. You nailed it, our campspot was about the 7500ft mark and I just verified the elevation on Lone Mountain which is 8,644ft found at these coordinates 34°18'29.1"N 108°01'59.3"W. If you look around on google earth you can see the triangular road around Lone Mountain. This is also the location where all the Speed Goats were lol! I love it. I've never heard of them called this but prefer the name over Antelope lol.
Man all that effort on the cam just to realize all I did was get some good exercise lol!
The Sawtooth Mountains are located in between Datil, NM and Pie Town, and Pie Town isn't just a name. They serve up some of the best pie I have ever had lol. I was camped near Monument Rock found at these coordinates 34°18'41.5"N 107°59'08.3"W. My campspot was at 34°18'56.7"N 107°58'50.0"W coordinates.
In the morning I headed West to Southwest over to Lone Mountain and in the general area where I planted the Game Camera which was planted at these coordinates 34°19'16.8"N 108°00'58.3"W.
I plan on heading over towards Carrizozo sometime this year to do some trail riding. That is beautiful county out that way also.
Brats and Jalapeno is a sweet combination, you can't go wrong with spicy food! I hope to plant the camera again, but the easier way lol! Thanks for watching Q.

I have never rode at higher elevations with a carbonated quad. I would imagine it would do good up to at least 9,000ft and above that you might feel the difference as the air gets thinner. If you do get into higher elevations let me know how it performed as I am curious. Thanks for watching, enjoying, and commenting on my video.
