Welcome to the medieval town of Sibiu, Romania! We could have stayed much longer in this magnificent city! With its enchanting winding medieval streets of the old town, to the modern side of the city with everything you need, Sibiu has been one of our favorite cities so far! We visit the grand cathedrals, of course, one of our favorite things to do in Europe, complete with a treacherous climb up Saint Mary’s watch tower, take you on a tour of our airbnb, Rory tests the bridge of lies 😅 and wander around the old town with it’s rich history and charming architecture.

That cathedral is not Evangelical Catholic, just Evangelical (aka Lutheran). The Catholic one is facing Piața Mare (built during the Austrian dominance, when they wanted to outshine the majority Protestant locals)

83 quid for the 1st apartment per night in off peak season.... hope you got a better deal than that, Romania used to be cheap. That place should be E250-300 a week. Back in the late 90s I was paying £6 a night lol
AirBNB rates are definitely higher than they were even eight months ago. We did get it for a lot less than that. But it was a higher cost apartment, which is why we only stayed three nights there. It was a last minute reprieve from a rough place in Sighisoara 😬🙌🏼
