if you really want to try veggie sarmale, you only have to wait for about a month. Christmas is coming, and it's traditional to fast before it, so chances are pretty high you'll get a taste of romanian vegan food. It's nothing special though, don't get your hopes up - lots of beans, mushrooms and preserved vegetables. For example, the sarmale would be made with onion (or leek), mushroom, rice and tomato paste

loved this video, it was fun and a little silly! Great that knowing Spanish helps in understanding (I agree!). Don't take up bowling professionally please! LOL
Love seeing Americans take public transportation, as would the locals, rather than taking an Uber or taxi as many foreigners would. Public transportation is faster than driving in cities in Romania 90% of the time, because of just how much traffic there is from the fact Romania is a crossroads of Europe DNA Bucharest is very central in terms of highway infrastructure in southern Europe. It's a bit like how Chicago is at the center of the Midwest, and many people in other cities have to go through or around Chicago to go southeast or west.
Thank you for the wonderful video, you guys truly clearly put work into it, you got literally everything right, you respected the culture and everything, and gave a lot of information most people just do not give. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I only am sad that I just now found this video rather than a year earlier!
The House of Parliament was called back in the Ceaușescu time, the House of People, because the romanians builded. The House of Parliament was designed by a woman! You should check her out
Wrong! I worked there, all the documents was containing the name "Casa Republicii". In the first days after the 22 December the tv started calling "Casa poporului" in terms of teling everyone that's all people house or to make looking Ceausescu a hypocrite.
When you said "vegetarian cabbage rolls" it made me laugh. In Romania pork is considered to be the main vegetable in almost any menu :) Don't think is a friendly country to vegans, sadly.
@@WITYTRAVELS Before 2000 we had paper money. But the constant circulation between people, made the bills ripped, distroyed, bended and very sensitive in general. So, they made polymer bills, that are way more resistent. The first polymer one was the 2000 lei bill, that was released by the Romanian National Bank on the ocasion of the sun eclipse from 2000. Actually, the bill had the eclipse drawn on it and it was very colourfull. Back then, when you got a 2000 lei bill, you could consider yourself very lucky. You kept it and never use it on regular payments, but on special occasions.

@@WITYTRAVELS that’s right I was born în Ploiesti I think maybe you heard about Buftea Studios and from October 2004 I moved to Bucharest city ❤️😁 that’s an expensive city and a lot of traffic but I am glad you enjoyed the trip to Romania 🇷🇴
I thought it said "Katy will (something)" and I was waiting patiently for what Katy will do, then it hit me after a few seconds =))
That's hilarious!!
Cute outro! I love Katy's giggle 😂
Thanks! 😄
Welcome and thank you guys! Read the comments, the Romanians are friendly and they'll give you good tips.
Thanks for your comment! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
Welcome to Romania!
Thank you! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
if you really want to try veggie sarmale, you only have to wait for about a month.
Thank you for the info! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
One comment: I saw some drone footage. Please bear in mind that within Bucharest city limits you have to get permision from Air Force command in order to fly a drone. 😉
Yeah we have a mini drone, that you don’t need permission because of its size. Thanks for the tip.
Every one that visits wants cabbage rolls but the best sarmale are the ones with grape vine leaves. ;)
Wrong! The cabbage taste fried in the oven is unbeatable.
Thank you for your comment! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴

hey welcome and enjoy your stay here, I hope you will try eventually some traditional food, im really curious what you think :)
Hey there! Thanks for commenting. We tried some Romanian food in our second video that is now out. ❤🇷🇴
cand nu merge semaforul, in Romania pietonul are prioritate !
Mai bine să fii în siguranță decât să-ți pară rău! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
loved this video, it was fun and a little silly! Great that knowing Spanish helps in understanding (I agree!). Don't take up bowling professionally please! LOL
Thank you! 😃 We had fun in Romania. Come on, we're great bowlers! 😂
Old building ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much. We love your country!
Welcome❤💛💙
Thank you for the warm welcome! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
Lewandowski& Mbappe Jersey...I guess Will truely understand whats THE REAL: FOOTBALL!! :) Romania here.

Hi
they are asking for passport to cut the tickt in romania for example timişoara.

Thanks for the comment! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
Beautiful vlog 😊
Thank you 😊 ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
If you have a 20lei bacnote dont use it cuz is a new one and is very rare so you can sell it for 500 dolars or 2500lei
Oh wow. Thanks. ❤🇷🇴
When you said "vegetarian cabbage rolls" it made me laugh. In Romania pork is considered to be the main vegetable in almost any menu :) Don't think is a friendly country to vegans, sadly.
We still ate well in Romania. No worries. ❤🇷🇴
How much you need to be considered rich in romania?
Not sure...
Romania 🇷🇴🇪🇺🌍✝️🙏🍾🥂😘😊❤️

Visit Oradea, it is the most beautiful city in Romania
Thanks for the recommendation! ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
You got to touch a gold bar?! Cool! 💰
It was awesome!
Pretty money! I love colourful money! 🤑
When we saw the bills, we had to include them. So pretty!
It's also water-resistant. I used to take my money with me when taking a dip into the sea :)

Our money are made of plastic. 🤷♀️😂
my man, there's no "vegetable cabbage rolls" over here,we don't drink soy milk
ok
bruh, 10% is really good tip in Romania, 12% is absolute max , don't ruin the market with bigger tips :)
Fair enough.
Your Girl' buddy Face Look Indian Realy 😂
20%??? are you crazy??
Brașov the most beautiful city of Romania !!! ♥️💛💙
Avem dubii boss
The entire country is beautiful not just Kronstadt(this is how you like to call that city, right?),stop being so fucking subjective!!!
The lei are made of plastic. You can forget it in your pockets and safely put them in the washing machine. Literally do money laundering 😄
That's hilarious!
Thanks for that info. Very interesting!
Honestly? We don't care! Move on
This video is from a year ago, so sounds like you need to move on 😘
From the begining that was a lie!
București is not Romania!
Where is it then?
@@WITYTRAVELS București is in Romania, but it is not Romania.

Be careful with your wallet. Today, you will have it,tomorrow, you don't
this tip is available in any country from this world...but Bucharest is safe ,Romania is a safe country ,just stay in crowded area ,close to downtown, don't go in ghettos...ALONE in the night (also this tip is available in all countries, not just here)
What a lousy comment without proper proof.
Your wallet can be stolen in any major city. I am more worried in Rome or Barcelona than I am in Bucharest.
And on the plus side, you don’t get shot randomly like in the US 😉
@@andreeairina2169 what is Rania ?
Romania is in the top 30 most safest countries in the world😁
We couldn't feel more safe in Romania. ❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴
If you are a vegetarian, you are in the wrong country…
I think we can survive off of Papanași 😜
@@WITYTRAVELSno you are not. We have the fasting menu. Its all whitout meat or milk/eggs etc. So ask at the restaurant for "de post" or "fasting"

Try the Romanian spreadable food. Are vegetarian food.
