Twelve times two the pockets Eleven thousand dollars Ten shelves a holding Nine pounds a hanging Eight minute video Seven tenths of lead (pencil) Six inch batoning FIVE SIZES #BLING Four mobile screens Three good phones Two thumbs up And a Linus just staring at me.
I remember when tech guys were reviewing these things years ago and I'm glad to see they're still around. Not the most fashion oriented, but definitely very functional.
I found this product really interesting and I really hope other manufacturers work on the ideas and maybe one day all clothing will be designed with the idea of carrying a lot of technology in mind! TWO THUMBS UP!
One thing they missed was to include a Power Grid throughout the Vest so you can simply plug a power cable in to the Vest and It will charge all devices that are in it.
Linus may be many things, but desperate ain't never been one of them. It's nice to see his channel broaden it's interests from time to time. Besides, everybody with a friggin cam or video capture software/device is doing GAMES TO DEATH.
I have several Scott e Vest products... 2 winter coats, 2 hoodies, one vest, one trench coat and my spouse has the lab coat. They are fantastic! Yes, I have transported two small laptops and a tablet in my coats through airports. It's good stuff goes right through the machines without unloading unless you have more than 1 laptop on each side... then you need to pull one...
Yes, but the pockets are set up strategically for optimization and use with tech devices. There are a lot of pro poker players that wear these so they can have of there belongs while at the table without having to worry about a bag. There is also cable management for your headphones throughout the whole thing that Linus did not get to show very well.
I've known about ScottEVest for some time now, and originally thought it was interesting. Though for their prices I'd only buy their stuff if I flew a lot. I have a fall coat with a bicep, breast, and 2 regular pockets(all zipper). Also a winter coat with a few inner pockets and some outer ones, both of them work fine for me, and at a decent price.
The vest would actually be pretty handy for air travel. When you get to the scanners at the gates, just take the entire vest off and stick it on the belt. Put it back on on the other side.
Holy crap, looking up these jackets and hoodies and found this....I have never seen a linus video with so few likes O.O...need to redo it with today's tec needs, as well as with the beard!😂 heck need a LTT hoodie with just as many pockets! I have one that yall make, but it's a bunch of small pockets, these pockets are so much bigger.
Conceal carry permits are only applicable to FIREARMS, they do not cover knives or any other weapon (such as the baton). you'd have to check local laws to see if carrying one in your state is legal.
Legal here. XD :P I was intrigued by all the things you put in it, I was sold when you mention they ALSO make ones for people with conceal carry permits.
The vest isn't great looking but the functionality is great. You mentioned your nvidia hoodie, that's something much more fashionable with some of the practicality. T-shirt would be sweet in black
I was gonna troll, and I had some good ones, but seems plenty of people beat me to it. So, I'll go the other direction. The vest was a bit much for me, I'd prefer a light jacket, I did like the shirt though. Good on you for mixing up the content Linus.
Those seem nice. To be honest, $120 for the vest wouldn't be all that bad if you often carry a lot of stuff around (totally wasn't expecting the tablet there... I thought it would be in the back) and don't want something bulky like a whole bag. I'd prefer it as more of a jacket though, even just a windbreaker would be nice.
Pirelli (yeah, the company that provides the tyres for Formula 1) has a backpack for sale on the official F1 store with a solar panel on it and a bunch of charging adapters inside. lol
when space glasses/google glass come out wear as much tech as possible. The outfit you had on in this video plus the pebble and space glasses, and anything else you can think of from head to tows :D
great review. but still left a few questions.. 1 is it waterproof? kinda would suck getting caught in the rain wearing a vest full of electronics. and 2nd question is how does it feel moving around? do you feel weight shifts in the vest or does it hold the weight close enough to your body so you dont notice?
i have a police style vest with 17+ pockets that i got at the 2009 paris air show and i feel this might be a downgrade in the pocket count but it seems more practical
Please Linus, Next time talk about the brand of zippers as well as stitching. It is super important for clothing. I wont buy clothing that doesnt use YKK zippers anymore. For the price of these they better have good stitching and YKKs on them. Also keep us updated on how long the coating lasts.
haha yup a lot less conspicuous then wearing giant cargo jeans, with 100 pockets, tucked into your socks while wearing a hoodie with a giant front pouch...in the middle of the summer. I used to work security at a mall and sometimes people made it that easy ;p
Pretty neat. Would also make a great weighted running/walking vest if you toss a bunch of smaller 10-20 pound bench press type weights in the bigger pockets. Also like that's it's pretty nondescript since if they had some giant gaudy logo on it would essentially turn anyone wearing one into a giant mugging target ;p
Looool - a map of where all the pockets are in the vest :)))... reallyy??? Like I really need this vest? But yeah that maps seems to be handy :))... must be the silliest vest ever... Linus - you made me laugh so hard :)))
I know for a fact you need a permit to carry a concealed weapon in most if not all states. Although it's often perfectly legal to run around with a shotgun for some reason, so hey maybe you can has batons.
Its stain and water resistant all you would need to wash it for is because it stinks just spray some frebreeze. It isnt droplets and it will eat up the odors and since when have you heard of electronics being dmg from inside a water resistant vest by a sprits of water?
Twelve times two the pockets
Eleven thousand dollars
Ten shelves a holding
Nine pounds a hanging
Eight minute video
Seven tenths of lead (pencil)
Six inch batoning
FIVE SIZES #BLING
Four mobile screens
Three good phones
Two thumbs up
And a Linus just staring at me.
The baton is included to hit the guys trying to rob you when they see you wearing the jacket.
Randomly pulling tech out of the jacket, then a telescopic batton! Haha I did not expect that.
THE ULTIMATE SHOPLIFTING GEAR...
also, if anyone with a dubious agenda figures out what that vest actually is and what its for, you're fucked.
OMG. so many chances to forget something in my pockets before washing them...
I remember when tech guys were reviewing these things years ago and I'm glad to see they're still around. Not the most fashion oriented, but definitely very functional.
*shoves Metal into the vest "I have armor!"
My brother gave the shirt for Christmas last year and really like it a lot.
I have that travel vest. I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread! I haven't checked out the T-shirts yet, though.
+Larry Johnson what age is the S size for?
S size? I don't know. I have the 'L' size. Works for me!
how old are you
I am 69.
cool
I found this product really interesting and I really hope other manufacturers work on the ideas and maybe one day all clothing will be designed with the idea of carrying a lot of technology in mind! TWO THUMBS UP!
So... When its full is it bullet proof?
Yes. 100%. No problemo.
Coolest thing I have seen in a month! Love you Linus!
I bet Macgyver wishes he had one of these.
One thing they missed was to include a Power Grid throughout the Vest so you can simply plug a power cable in to the Vest and It will charge all devices that are in it.
The protagonist from Watchdogs should have worn this.
Excited for the new build video :D
Still waiting for tech optimized underwear.
SomePlaceForVideos they have tech boxers on the web site!!!
@@davemarsteller8377 *Uhh he commented that 5 years ago*
Yes... I know... maybe he is still waiting... I waited 7mos for your comment! :)
for your traveler who uses a lot of tech on short flights the vest would work but i think the baton would light up the security areas in any airport
Hmm I put my phone in my pocket... Oh crap which pocket did I put it in?!
this is why we love you linus
But wait! There's more!
It would be handy if there were before/after pictures, but overall: the best episode ever!
this seems like a dream for a theif lool
Linus may be many things, but desperate ain't never been one of them. It's nice to see his channel broaden it's interests from time to time. Besides, everybody with a friggin cam or video capture software/device is doing GAMES TO DEATH.
This is the single geekiest thing I have ever seen. Give me a dozen.
I do a lot of long distance running and that t-shirt looks like it would be brilliant to carry stuff around it whilst running. Might check it out
imagine going to an airport and at security having to take everything out

Thank you for an awesome review. We really appreciate it
I think i just found the guy they based Watch Dogs off of :0 ^ lol

what a cool vest! thanks for the video Linus !
0:51 you can faintly hear slick laughing about what Linus said about the water bottle bulging at he spot it is at LOL
Have to admit, I'm very tempted into getting this now. Thanks Linus
It's a medium sized pounch with a belt that goes around your waist. Basically a belt with a big pocket on the back, or front.
lol I know right!
I've known about ScottEVest for some time now, and originally thought it was interesting. Though for their prices I'd only buy their stuff if I flew a lot. I just bought mine!

Wow, loving the shirt!!
I need to get one of these
You are mad!
Legal here. XD :P
I was intrigued by all the things you put in it, I was sold when you mention they ALSO make ones for people with conceal carry permits.
That's the beauty of Linus.
He reminded me of that dude in "Hercules" when he opened up the vest - like the guy in the movie selling those swords etc etc
Gotta pick me up one of these. With any luck they have a winter one.
Sebastian you should do all your revies from now on in that vest :P
I don't know what I would stuff in that thing but it looks awesome
The vest isn't great looking but the functionality is great. You mentioned your nvidia hoodie, that's something much more fashionable with some of the practicality. T-shirt would be sweet in black
Imagine the horror of going through airport security in this thing xD
I was gonna troll, and I had some good ones, but seems plenty of people beat me to it.
So, I'll go the other direction. The vest was a bit much for me, I'd prefer a light jacket, I did like the shirt though. Good on you for mixing up the content Linus.
Might have to check it out. First thing I thought about was how well its can conceal a handgun.
pretty cool :) nice viceo linus, as always..
Those seem nice. To be honest, $120 for the vest wouldn't be all that bad if you often carry a lot of stuff around (totally wasn't expecting the tablet there... This is really cool, gotta get me one of these.
im more interested in that wireless media thingy
OMG,Linus has a new shirt :D
More loosely and vaguely tech-related videos would be appreciated! Nice change. Not that the channel needs it, but.., you get my point.
Pirelli (yeah, the company that provides the tyres for Formula 1) has a backpack for sale on the official F1 store with a solar panel on it and a bunch of charging adapters inside. lol
This would be GREAT for the convention circuit!
I noticed that Linus was wearing this on last weeks WAN show.
I guess there is no longer a need for a tech bag =)
Can see linus in the back alley way opening the vest.
"Hey wanna buy some electronics!"
when space glasses/google glass come out wear as much tech as possible. The outfit you had on in this video plus the pebble and space glasses, and anything else you can think of from head to tows :D
Was it uncomfortable after everything was stuffed in? Tempted to pick up a Jacket, the clothes look so good aswell!
Rambo in the electronic version, a bonus map for vest ...yeah nice job
It seems like this will become your best friend when it comes to conventions
damn I actually just got one, with the exchange from $ to € is not a bad deal
"boring man" with a pink phone and orange pebble. btw love the shaver review ^^
Mary Poppins hand bag has met it's match!
Tech-Ninja gear !!
Its actually awesome, if your hiking across the country !
great review. but still left a few questions.. 1 is it waterproof? kinda would suck getting caught in the rain wearing a vest full of electronics. and 2nd question is how does it feel moving around? do you feel weight shifts in the vest or does it hold the weight close enough to your body so you dont notice?
Almost time for Ghost baby!!!
From professional "unboxer" to professional "undresser", lol!
Pretty cool, good variety.
Omg tech clothes!!! "I've been waiting for this moment, for all my liiife"
Travel vest v2, can carry your desktop parts so you can assemble it any time and any where...
Girlfriend wanted me to take a break from league...
Suppose I'll watch all the linus and logan videos today :]
i have a police style vest with 17+ pockets that i got at the 2009 paris air show and i feel this might be a downgrade in the pocket count but it seems more practical
Our current model, the RFID Travel Vest for Men, features 26 pockets, including an RFID blocking pocket!
a journalist will love this jacket as it has a lot of pocket for their needs
hey linus this is your biggest fan, I havnt watched this video yet but im sure its awsome, my fiirst comment
Quick access baton in the vest just incase someone tries to steal your vest.
i'm personally not really a vest person.
But i would love this on some thing like a hoodie
The vest seems kinda niche, but the shirt looks practical. Nice video.
Oh! Here! I found this 840 Pro SDD in my back pocket!
I imagine Linus hiding in a dark alley opening up that jacket asking "wanna buy some 'after'market components?"
Please Linus, Next time talk about the brand of zippers as well as stitching. It is super important for clothing. I wont buy clothing that doesnt use YKK zippers anymore. For the price of these they better have good stitching and YKKs on them. Also keep us updated on how long the coating lasts.

Imagine the chaos if you trip up
Pretty neat. Would also make a great weighted running/walking vest if you toss a bunch of smaller 10-20 pound bench press type weights in the bigger pockets. Oh and Computer in that jacket would be pretty much awsome for taking to LAN partys :D
Looool - a map of where all the pockets are in the vest :)))... reallyy??? Like I really need this vest? But yeah that maps seems to be handy :))... must be the silliest vest ever... Linus - you made me laugh so hard :)))
*Goes to airport*
"Sir are there any mobile devices or electronics in that jacket?"
*Kills self*
I know for a fact you need a permit to carry a concealed weapon in most if not all states. Although it's often perfectly legal to run around with a shotgun for some reason, so hey maybe you can has batons.
You could sneak a lot of food into the movies with this jacket.
Its stain and water resistant all you would need to wash it for is because it stinks just spray some frebreeze. It isnt droplets and it will eat up the odors and since when have you heard of electronics being dmg from inside a water resistant vest by a sprits of water?
I want it!
That vest... It's bigger on the inside! Linus, are you a Time Lord?
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SHAVER VIDEOS?! WHY AREN'T THERE MORE?! OMG LINUS YOU'VE SOLD OUT!!!
Taking this on a plane would be a barrel of laughs
