I just joined your channel a few days ago because I'm planning on moving to Spain early next year. You give great information and you are the cutest couple.
Thanks so much! Good luck with your future move to Spain.
Thanks for great review.
Thanks for watching!
Youz guyz are too much! Thanks for the humor infused review. I’ve thought about getting one of these vests, but can’t seem to get off the fence and do it. Ni modo. I like having a lot of pockets, but I have to be really consistent about what I put in which pocket or I go thru that whole “feeling around for whatever I’m looking for, unzip a pocket, nope, not there, zip it up, repeat ad nauseam” process. Again, thanks for your take on it and the fun!
Thanks for watching. We totally understand your thoughts.
Funny and thorough! Thanks.
Thanks so much!
That’s a good solid review guys.
Thank you!
Great details, very helpful.
Thank you!
I was totally just thinking about something like this after traveling last weekend. 😅 Your review has definitely swayed me 😏👍
That's awesome!
They are expensive, but we’ll worth it. I’ve been using my Scottevest jacket with removable sleeves for years.
Helpful video, I used a vest during the camino and when traveling, to keep my passport and wallet safe, knowing it was always secure and in the same place. The blue vest in the link looks good.
Thanks so much! We're loving all the options to wear these.
Love your videos. I bought a ScotteVest in 2012 for a trip to Europe and I still use it, still looks good. Mine had a pocket for an iPod and one for an 🆔, at the time those pockets had a plastic that eventually cracked. I don’t think they make them like that anymore, it looks like they now use a mesh. But other than that , 12 years later is still going strong, so it’s worth every penny and it still has plenty “pockets”.
Thanks so much! That's amazing that your vest is going strong 12 years later!
They are also great for traveling on cheap airlines where only 1 personal item is free. It holds all the extras and things you need on the airplane.
exactly!
Oh, I was able to get the ladies "QUEST vest half price on April fools day. I had bought a jacket, and it was not large enough for me, when I loaded it up. So I used this opportunity to get a larger size. It had pockets on the outside of the vest, in addition to the handwarmer pockets. It was great for airline, train, taxi, and tourist travel! Great review!
Thanks so much! That's so awesome that you got your vest on sale.
I bought the vest last year for a Mediterranean cruise. I wore it every day. I will be using it again in Europe soon.
That's awesome!
I have been a travel vest dork for several years. They work great for planes, trains and automobiles. After years of making fun of me for wearing a vest she watched your video this morning and is now searching online for a vest. 😂
We’re all becoming vest people!
Thx!
:)
I have loved ScotteVest since 2010 and washed it all the time. Still going strong. Only broke on the front zipper and maybe washed and put in the dryer.. the chest pocket just ripped. Other than that.. still go on❤️
That's great to hear!
You sold me! Buying two-one for my daughter and one for me.
Haha amazing!
You two are awesome and make adorably informative videos. I love it.
Thank you so much!
Count me in for "Vestivus". The aluminum pole can definitely fit in the vest 🤣
HAHA! Done!
I have the SCOTTeVEST windbreaker and it was sooooo worth it. When you're worried about weight limits, problem solved. It has a hoodie, a pick pocket nightmare 🎉, and let's me be hands free with or without a back pack.
Oooh, the windbreaker sounds great!
Great vest. Good for security in the big cities ( I don’t like keeping my wallet/phone in my back pockets). But I travel light and try to keep those things in the inside pockets of my jackets/coats. Looks casual. ? Any plans to do the Camino Ingles? It’s such a short journey and good content. Would love to see that.
Glad you like your vest, too! We want to walk the Camino Ingles. Hopefully we'll get to it soon. :)
Lainey, how tall are you and what size is your vest? Would you recommend getting a size S if you normally wear a small?
I'm 5'1" and wearing a size small. If you want more space for stuff, you can size up. Or if you have a larger bust size. I'm fairly petite, so the small works great for me.
I’m a huge fan of ScottEVest. I really dislike carrying a purse, I wear their Cargaux pants or vests as every day wear, not just when traveling. It becomes a habit so I always knows where I pack my edc items. I do agree that they have gotten overpriced in the past few years, but I’ve had my vest since 2016 and it’s held up very well. Get on their mailing list and watch for sales. It’s also advisable to upsize the vest.
Yeah, they're pretty great. We might have to check out the Cargaux pants. Pockets everywhere!

Pro tip: empty the pants pockets before security!
Afterwards, redistribute items wherever.
I was looking at these lots of years ago, but I just don't travel nearly enough to justify the cost. If I ever get to retire to Spain and have more ability to travel around Europe, I may reconsider.
What do you do when you're going through security with all of your electronics in your pockets? Do you just put the full vest in a bin, or do you have to empty all the pockets first?
Totally get that sentiment. For security, we put the full vest in a bin. It's way easier than emptying the pockets.
How about when you go through airport security? Do you have to empty everything out of all those bazillion pockets?
We take the whole vest off and but it in a bin. So easy.
No vested interest?
🙄😂
So, what you're saying is that it's a good in-vest-ment?
(Sorry, I'll get my coat and see myself out.)
…..wow. Just…..wow. 😕
Vestivus for the rest of us 😂
Let the airing of the grievances begin!
Nope….maybe at one time. I purchased one and it fell apart in less than a year. Don’t waste your money!!!!!!
So many pockets for activities.
Absolutely!
Okay. You're worried about dork factor when you dance in the streets?
Just sayin'.
Haha good point. We’re dorks. Big happy dorks!
One pocket for heroine, another pocket for crystal meth, a pocket for edibles, a pocket for ketamine…. 😅
😂
@@DaysWeSpend you guys should’ve included the famous Saturday Night Live skit where these two druggies sell stuff, and all their stuff serves one purpose. Customers come in and ask, “what’s that for?” “You put your weed in it”. And they say “weeeed” with a stoner elongation.
@@RC-qf3mp 🤣 That would have been good.
