super sweet!! but could it be, that you have to use 42 chains at the beginning instead of 52? I am now at minute 17 and realised, that the ends are not the same. so I am afraid that I have to start again =( or do you have another suggestion for me? Please help =)
Hi Martha! I checked the pattern and my finished bonnets and 52 should be fine. I would advise you to just repeat row 18, so row where you have to work 1 dc into each st from the row below, so 6 dc st. That will give a bit longer panel on the back of the bonnet. Let me know how it went. :)
Hi Martha! I was also confused by this, but I’ve figured it out. When she says mark off 14 stitches, there needs to be 14 stitches between the markers, not including the markers. So there are 18 stitches from the end, a marker at stitch 19, then 14 stitches, then a marker at stitch 34, then 18 more stitches to the end. You start at the right marker, and do the first DC2TOG into that same stitch, so the last DC2TOG should end in the second marker. That will keep the work centered! Hope that helps!
So confused about the straps!!! Also, Did not realize how long the strings needed to be...unaware we were using those to sew the bonnet together! Bummer. Help with the straps please.........................
Instead of saying 14 in the centre why not just count the stitches to the middle? After doing a stripe version and weaving in all ends I realised I did this wrong!
Gotta tell you, I’ve done several you tube tutorials but yours is the BEST!
I like the stripes. Didn’t know it was that easy. Yay

martha, yes you have true should be only 42 chain not 52!! 14+14+14 = 42
