    I made this! My first baby bonnet! It was for a great niece/nephew who is due TODAY! I made a mock Point Blanket in a nice cluster stitch in the traditional colors, off white background. I made the matching bonnet in the background color following this pattern, then surface crocheted chains into 4 of the rows with the stripe colors from the blanket. It was a big hit!

    I love this pattern, my first try came out amazing. I would like to make another as a gift for a friend, her newborn is rather large so I'd really like to make a 0-3 month or 3-6 month. Do you have the conversion for a bigger size or know where I can find one for this exact bonnet style? Thank you so much for your video, it was super easy to follow!

    I think this is actually closer to premie size. Definitely too small for the baby I made it for. I can just make it longer by adding a couple more rows of double crochet correct? Outside of that, I love how easy it is to follow this tutorial, and the bonnet really is gorgeous. Maybe this baby just has a giant head

    I would love to have a pattern of a bonnet (like this) BUT with a shell stitch (to match a baby sweater I have) This is lovely though.

    I'm new to crochet and I'm having issues with round 3. Do my 2 chains count as my first dc? Or do I do a dc in the stitch after the chains. Because I keep ending up with 28 instead of 30 😂 thanks!!

    • @Charmedbyashley
      @Charmedbyashley  7 лет назад

      your first 2 chains count as your first DC for sure

      I had the same issue, even counting the chain 2 as the first DC. I think the video is misleading, it shows her skipping the first DC. If you do the pattern of 1 DC into one stitch and then 2 DC into the next stitch, but start it at the first DC rather than skipping it, you end up with 30!

    I made this hat exactly as specified and my friend's baby was 6 14 at birth and it was way too small. 😢 She was supposed to give me photos from the birth but it didn't work. I need a bigger pattern.
