Most comprehensive review I have found. I'm glad you mentioned the insole is glued in because this is a negative for me. I notice many of the reviews on the women's side on the Nike site say the shoe fits small and to size up. This may not be true for the men's.
That's really interesting. Often times, the major difference between a women's and men's release is the narrower last that the women's shoes tend to use. Thanks for the input! Thanks so much for watching too. 🙏🏽
They are surprisingly similar. These are a bit more springy, and because of the shape, are better suited for walking. Save the price difference and get the Motiva if you're not doing serious running.
@@HoneycombManila Thanks for your reply I just got the Motiva, it's got like a funny feeling when walking but not as soft as the Invincible run, may be it needs some break in period idk. It's much better and softer than the Adidas switch fwd and if you want a softer Adidas one, try the X_plr boost. Greetings my friend 😊😊
Actually I love this shoe. I bought 2 of these, red and black version. It was really comfortable. I regret that I didn't bought the blue one, i love the color and it was on sale last year. It cost only 3,700php. 😁😁😁
Been going back and forth between this and the NB Fresh Foam X More V4. I'm 65 so the moment you said this is for older people that clinched it for me 😂 Thanks, I guess...
It hasn't bottomed out yet. All cushlon and Zoom X are foams, and will eventually bottom out, but I've never actually had that happen to me. So it's pretty durable.
No, I would not run 10KM in these. I mean, every runnrt is different, but I think for most, running will require a level of stability that these are not tuned for.
Hii, I'll go on a trip for about 1 month. i need to find good sneakers because i ll walk 8 hours a day problaly and i am heavy person 110kg 180cm. My feet always hurt after long walks. Which shoes do you recommend to me?
Just saw your video and a goo done, but I saw this definition by Nike about Motiva and it says you can use it as well for running? The Nike Motiva helps you step through whatever the day brings, at your pace. Its uniquely patterned outsole and exaggerated rocker combine to give you a super-smooth, cushioned and comfortable ride. This means you can walk, jog or run comfortably and come back for your next leisurely stroll confidently. It gives you optimal support for your every move, every day.
It becomes spongy, meaning that you don't feel the bumps on the bottom after about a week. As a videographer, I think you'll probably want shoes that allow you to move laterally. I would recommend a court shoe, like a basketball shoe for that activity, and not a runner/walker. Look at discount versions of the previous air Jordan model, the Air Jordan 38 low. It has incredible cushion and support, and at this point in the calendar, they'll be half price, or around $100. It's a great price for that kind of tech.
Pretty stable for walking. It's very soft and rockered, meaning curved up at the toe and heel. Check out the Infinity line if you're concerned about over-pronation.
I wish I knew! Sorry. I'm not a doctor. Probably my best layman advice would be to look for a shoe that's more stable and has a significanly robust heel counter. Recently I reviewed the new Kobe 4 protro that came out (ruclips.net/video/3GOVvFb3lgs/видео.html) and it matches that criteria without sacrificing on-foot comfort. However, it's probably hard to acquire and will be significantly more expensive. An afffordable, stylish option would be the Nike P-6000. Ultra stable and soft running-inspired design. Ironically, I got one for my dad too. That's the one he uses day to day, and the motiva is only used for briskwalking.
I like how you say this is targeted at older people Since its mostly young people that are on the market for these sort of sneakers if they come from brands like Nike, while older people are not really interested in it. Older people lean more to brands like Sketchers and if they try to look more modern New Balance. My dad only wears Air Max 90 and my mom wears the New Balance 990v5. Also in that 60 range.
That's actually a perfect profile. 60 year olds were 30 in 1992-1999, when Nike really blew up culturally. That puts them square in the window where a lot of brand awareness and equity was built among then-young consumers. So while the brand continues to market to younger markets, there's a window of opportunity for seniors who grew older with the brand perception developed over the decades. It makes sense to design for them, rather than to have them "age-out" of the brand. I hope that makes sense!
Look for a more flat shoe for table tennis, like a court or low cut basketball shoe. I recommend looking at the Jordan Westbrook line of low cut basketball shoes. Good balance of cushion and lateral traction and support for table tennis.
i think the colorway kills the vibe kuya. ive seen some clean colorways in men and womens. plus, if you style it like a pops/grandad, then you'll look as such i'd imagine. appreciate the review👍
Idk why people advertise this shoe as being comfortable and breathable its neither of those two . Bought a pair based on reviews all i can say is that for me it doesn’t fit at all , it’s narrow, it feels like im walking on a tennis ball under the arches and is hot as hell . Try it on before buying it’s not for everyone
Trying on is always great advice. That said, when I first tried this one on, I didn't like it much also. It has a break in time where the shoe adapts to your foor and your standing weight distribution pattern. I'm not sure if that can be experienced through in-store try-ons. But it's very breathable. "Hot as hell" is probably more about you than it is about the product.
I have played a lot of intermediate table tennis and I would not recommend this shoe for that. The stack height is very high, and that may cause some over rotation of your ankle. Plus, the extra squishy foam will lessen your response time on quick lateral movements. For that, I would recommends the Zoom GT Hustle 2 (it's comparatively priced when on discount/clearance) where you will get a lot of the same on-foot comfort, without sacrificing the lateral speed. If you can'f find that, check out the Nike Precision 6, which is like 75 USD only.
It’s safe to say it’s a good recommendation for working out and using the elliptical/treadmill but walking.
Mostly walking. I just got my senior citizen father a pair. He's the grandpa I reference in the video haha
So you would not recommend for incline treadmill fast walking ?

True to size? For men
Should be! But size up half if you need room for your toes.
Hi,
How do these compare to the Nike Invincible for walking and casual wear?
They are surprisingly similar. These are a bit more springy, and because of the shape, are better suited for walking. Save the price difference and get the Motiva if you're not doing serious running.
@@HoneycombManilaThanks
Did you try Adidas switch fwd from a casual precpective like long walks?
I did not. I'm not into the adidas approach to design.

It felt awkward for me but after a few days it felt normal. I've been walking in them for 2 miles a day for the last 5 months. @@ehabghabbour1552

interesting. It seems more like the kind of shoe you get one of, then beat into the ground.
it was really comfortable and feel too elevated at first. I got the light iron ore one
It tends to break in and sink a cm, which is perfect stack height

how is the midsole now ? Has it permanently compressed? Is it durable
It hasn't bottomed out yet. All cushlon and Zoom X are foams, and will eventually bottom out, but I've never actually had that happen to me. So it's pretty durable.
@@HoneycombManila Usually it is recommended replace sneakers about every 1-2 years the foam looses its elasticity.
Is it good for running too? I'm a heavy runner, 189cm, 97kg, usually run 10km, 2 times per week.

I'm 39-woman-and I LOVE the look of the shoe and get compliments on them. ol
Great!
I walk between 5 and 10 miles everyday. Will these be good for me ? Will they last long ?
Should be good. It's designed for long walks. I don't walk quite that much, but after around a year, mine haven't bottomed out yet
i just got mine and im not sure if i got the legit one. Everything seems perfect except for the insole, it seem hard tho the outsole cushion is soft.
that insole should not be stiff

yes, this is pretty ideal for that scenario. BUT I'd also look into the newly released Winflo 11. They're probably more stable.

hmmm... I think for very casual running, it's fine. For reference, I would classify casual running as any pace that averages 5km per 40-50 mins.
Does the outsole flatten easily? I am 72kg. I will use it more on wallking. (as a videographer)

You work in the hospital? Let me know your results! Both those are great for all day cushion, and because flyknit can go right in the washing machine.
@@HoneycombManila didnt know they could go in the washing machine lol thank you! Both of them??
Yeah, for sure. Just don't use hot water or put in a dryer coz heat can damage the glues. Air dry.

Wear socks and buy UK 9.5 instead

For me its good looking, just the color doesnt suit, i have the same shoe but its kinda white and like melon orange and its very attractive
That sounds like a great colorway!
Is this okay with plantar fascitis
