I think you're planning to use this as a gift someday for your daughter. Something to show her how you spent your years. I think your videos are AMAZING! There is so much AMERICANA, so much to learn, I just spent about 30 minutes explaining to my niece about how to get on RUclips and to look up rvertv, and how to type in especially your video on the copper museum and museum up in, believe it was Washington State that fancy museum but I wonder my niece is like 60 I'm 66 but I want her to get a good feel for all of these videos especially some of them the ones up in the mountains and the amazing little towns you videoed with look like the mountain was right in right in the center of the whole thing it's absolutely your videos are just gorgeous and I think we can all learn a lot from them. This is a modern day 2020s record of what the United States is like.

Thanks for another visit to Lake Powell and the Big Water Visitor Center, right in the middle of one of my favorite places in the whole country. Right across the way was where I used to store my Boat at Big Water. I used to stay at the Paria Movie Set Campground when it existed before going out on the lake for several weeks at a time, when there was a lake. But you know, by the late 1990’s it got too popular. I think I prefer it back to its natural condition and for one would just like to see the GC dam removed. I like the way it looked in your video. Nice and peaceful and not too crowded. It was a madhouse by 2000. You think those houseboats are large? While camping Memorial Day 2001, a rear paddle wheel houseboat of about 75’ or more along with a rouges gallery of several ski boats came and pulled up and beached within 2 feet of my 2252 Cierra and dwarfed it. They pulled my sand anchors out and pushed my boat out and began to over run my camp site until I stopped them. They then threatened me with bodily harm. That was a mistake as I work for the military and was capable of protecting myself. When they realized threats wouldn’t work and they had created a toxic, poisonous atmosphere with me and couldn’t ever stay there at that point, they eventually compromised and left w/o incident. I had contacted the marine police and was surprised when they came to hear from a Policeman you could have/should have shot them on the spot. Stand your ground. In over 45 years of traveling and camping in the west, those (rich?) knuckleheads remain the biggest jerks I ever ran into.

Somewhere south of Big Water Visitor Center.someone erected a mysterious stainless steel obelisk, similar to the ones in the film 2001 A Space Odyssey. Only instead of it being pitch black, it was shiny silver. It was in a small canyon in a very remote area. No one has figured out how they got it there. Helicopter perhaps ? After it caused enough mischief, they moved it someplace else.

Between Kanab and Fredonia, there are so many Beautiful things to see. Have to get off the road a bit, but, there's a lot of movies filmed through there. The little house in the end of "The Outlaw Jose Whales", is not far off the main road. Across from the old "Buckskin Tavern". That's also, where we found an old straw hut. It was still intact. There were dinosaur footprints that were big enough to sit in, somewhere along that highway, on the same side as the "Buckskin Lodge and Tavern. I heard that it burned down, but, everyone still knows where it was. Might have rebuilt by now. Happy Travels!

Didn't you see any of those 2-ton chicken roaming the countryside near Grand Escalante ... LOL ? Good for us all the dinosaurs disappeared eons ago ! The road up Grand Escalante is one of the loneliest in America, scary at times so much so it is narrow and the escarpment steep (Devil's Backbone notably). From Page, you can drive up to Kayenta and then to Monument Valley to see the Mittens. Most beautiful spectacle is at sunrise ! There used to be a campground at Monument Valley but the Navajos built a new Hotel where the campground was. Lake Powell is the "headwaters" of the Grand Canyon, on the Colorado River circuit. Powell was one of the surveyors who made the first topographical maps of the Grand Canyon. Nice video, as always ! RICHARD

Russ, this may be a little political and you can delete if you wish. My first trip to Powell was in 1969 with my wife on a western tour in our car, tent camping as we went along. We camped there in June and the wind was awful. We put as much in the tent as possible and did the dam tour to get out of the wind. 1976 was the start of our boating life on Powell. We have been there almost every year since; only missing a few. We would spend one to two weeks every year camping at Lone Rock beach with family and friends. Incredible memories for all. Our kids grew up there and it is in my Will that my ashes will be spread at Lone Rock beach. I would like to point out that Bill Clinton in 1996 created Grand Staircase Escalante and did not have the guts to step into the state of Utah when he signed the bill. It was signed at the Grand Canyon. I do not think he has ever been in Utah. This took millions of dollars from the Utah schools and jobs from the people of Utah. Lake Powell is Heaven on Earth to me and my family and many others.
