Hows it holding up? I might put that in mine but I want all forged lower, pistons, pump, injectors, the works. Whatever HP I build it to I want it to be able to handle twice as much. Also want an upgraded trans. Not to race just to show.
This is a large blower that shines with a lot more RPM. It takes about 15-16psi out of this blower to make 800whp.. which is just like a hellcat 2.4L blower. It is too large for these lower RPMs.
You need to go a LME gen 3 hemi. Speed Society did that and it's a 6.4l apache block but it's Stroked to 426 and is 2000hp capable but they build them to be streetable of around 1400 to 1600hp. Hell the SGT Smash Speed society give away car was a 1200hp Charger. It's not hard to make the 6.4l fast it's just tuners suck these days and most people who own these cars never do the research on parts and modifications for the internals of the entire engine. Better valves, valve springs, rods and heads that flow more cfm work wonders just for NA horsepower gains with these engines. @@americanassassin001 let me explain something. These days people judge cars off how much power can it make on stock motor without bring built. That is what proves their worth to these people right of wrong that's how they are. The reason the 6.4 isn't thought of higher is because it can't do 800-1000 wheel like the hellcat 6.2 on stock motor or like ford's terminator and gt500 and coyotes gen 2 and 3 and then you got the gm side with the zr1 and zl1 etc etc lot of today's cars can make big power a stock motors the 6.4 isn't one of them. Yea it can have a built bottom end forged internals and do big power but any engine just about can do that. Like the 3v 4.6 everyone gives hell in the mustang world 800-1000+ is possible on those too when the motors built they can only do about 500 on stock motor which is why everyone says they're "trash" (mostly coyote fanboys). Engines are judged by what they can do without being built.
I just got my whipple 3.0 with a built motor and handful of mods I'm looking to be at 735 and 750 hp around 700ish torque u think ot may hold up? Should I get a rear differential brace?
It's hard to say I had to rebuild my engine bcuz they sold it to me with bad head gaskets so when I rebuilt it I just went forged n installation of cam headers ect.. were pretty cheap being the engine was already out but all together around 20k that's the whipple the tunes the build so about 52k range and faster than a hellcat so still way cheaper

Isnt it advised to put pistons and rods in if adding a supercharger to the 392 because of the smaller ring lands? i have heard adding a supercharger to a stock bottom end with crack your pistons with anymore than 5 PSI.

I think forged internals is enough to be safe at that power level.
Debating on buy this Whipple myself, but have a stock Scat that I daily. Would I be able to run it safely on my engine while not being forged at the moment ? Y’all are pretty close to me too, I’m in Aurora.
As we tell all stock 392 owners. It is not a matter of IF.. but WHEN will it blow. They are very delicate and do not take well to the heat introduced. But we still do tune and Install quite a few blowers on stockers with the owners knowing the gamble.

It is still very possible to blow up a forged engine. They are NOT invincible. There are far more variables involved then the whipple. And that is NOT to blame. As there are power adders out there that can make way more power then the 3.0L... So that comes down to everything else... Assembly, fueling, components used, temperatures, tuning, etc etc... I really would not blame the whipple out of all the other potential things it could be

@@MrFryguy87 That all comes down to HP goals and the feel you want... PD blower like a whipple is more like a light switch. Boost is instant... Procharger is linear and doesn't hit has hard. Easier on drivetrain and can generally make more HP up top but lacks the low end. So figuring out the feel and power you want will guide you.

Stock lower pulley reference the crank pulley is stock diameter. On a Supercharger application, if you install an overdrive pulley (or a larger diameter pulley) it spins the Supercharger faster creating more boost.

What internals need to be upgraded to run this supercharger safely? I’ve got a 2021 wide body charger with 7k miles on her. Standard ungrades, JLT CAI, Corsa Xtreme Loud Cat Back, BBK 90mm TB, Pedal Commander. But nothing internals been touched.
At a minimum we recommend a rod/piston upgrade. But it does depend on end power goal. That will determine what extent of mods you should do to support the blower
Not low at all for the boost he is at. This is all he wanted to make. So we built the motor to handle more. But he just wanted a reliable 700hp street car.

True the crank comes forged if you plan on staying below 700 just do a drop in piston and rod kit you’ll be straight

There are a TON of variables that go into how long they will live. Hp70s can take about 650-700tq for a good whole with proper maintained and tuning.
What power does that 392 makes now? 700 is kinda low.
Not low at all for the boost he is at. This is all he wanted to make. So we built the motor to handle more. But he just wanted a reliable 700hp street car.
