Hellcat runs 5.4 in 1/8th Mile - Satera Tuning
Time for another great success to story.
Don has been working his butt off to build his hellcat to what it is today. All work was done by himself. We simply remote tuned it. He has been through several combinations during the process.
He knocked out his new PB this past weekend
5.46 @ 130mph with a 1.27 60ft.
This is a full weight 4400lb+ race weight Challenger too!
🟢 Built 6.2L
🟢 @whipplesuperchargers 3.8L blower
🟢 Built trans
🟢 The addition of @kelltrac Suspension components has allowed him to drop that 60ft to what it is.
We aren't done either!

What do these durangos with the 5.7 usually see when you do the 2.4L IHI blower on them?
@@BlackEyeSRT it's a hellcat blower. So it ranges from 450whp to 600whp+. But we don't normally do hellcat blower swaps because it is not an efficient setup for the cost. The aftermarket options are direct fit and better all around.

@@BlackEyeSRT depends on power goals... procharger and whipple are the most popular we install.
@@sateratuning it’s the wife’s, but honestly I want to get rid of the MDS 🐂 💩, get a nice cam and some extra power. Can these handle much boost, or should I upgrade the Rods/Pistons, port the heads etc?
I was hoping for low 8's. I went low 9's with a little 3.0 Whipple.....
@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK no one has gone low 8s.... so a full weight basic 6.2 build is not doing it. This truck has very simple upgrades to run the times it did in the DA. after winter with our manifold swap and more boost it'll be a contender for the top 10. All comes down to HP being produced. Doesnt magically go faster when HP isn't any different.
@@sateratuning I guess thats my point I have yet to see any of ur Turbo hawks go in the 8's so the hp is around 1200 or so. Turbo Hawks are making 1500 whp easily why are u not turning up the boost? I know ur a great tuner so whats missing here?
@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK customer goals and desires. I avoid most BIG BIG hp builds. Not our customer base. We aren't about the life of gutted tin cans and racing weekly. We focus on street cars and reliability. We have some that make big power. It is up to them on when or if they want to use it. Our shop does not focus or specialize in race cars. We refer those builds to shops that specialize in that.

First we would discuss what you consider BIG HP and what your actual goals and expectations are. We have done and will do any build.. If the expectations meet pur business module. As an example - we are setting up a trackhawk for an Aluminum Block 2000hp build. But he fits our focus.

Have you guys tried turning up the 3.0 blowers or did you run the oem pully combo curious to see what these would do with like a 10% lower/ 2.75 upper
@cku617 no we have not. And really don't plan on it. They already come with a 3.06" Upper. So possibly could add a 10% lower to get a roughly 3psi bump. But the 3.0L has shown to not be efficient. And really don't trust it with the added RPM. The 2.7Ls struggle sometimes with a 2.86 / 10 lower combo... so a 3.06" / 10 lower with the bigger rotors sounds unsafe haha. But I'm sure someone will want us to at something to try.
Can u port a whipple and who offers that service. Like u can't order it from them correct
@HennyTRX3773 could you... "yes".. should you... ehhh. Main reason for failure is bearing and support issues of rotors. So taking metal out weakens that support even more. Which is why you don't hear of it much being done anymore. And whipple removed it as an option even. So should you... we don't recommend it.

@HennyTRX3773 it is a great question. And was popular early on. But not a good thing to do after being attempted. And their new gen6 design is supposed to be fixed and stronger. We will see

Was talking with someone today about doing the 426 and they said they would put a whipple 3.0 on b4 a 3.8 there reason was the 3.8 take alot more to turn and if ur only living at 900/1k whp the 3.8 wouldnt be as efficient. Whats ur thoughts on this
@HennyTRX3773 all depends on HP goals. If 900-1000hp is the goal. The 3.8 is WAY to big. The objective is to utilize the smallest blower you can - to achieve the power you want.

@@sateratuning hmm weird thought it would make same or more power with a more effiicient blower (3.0L) my kong ported 2.4 with 2.60 (19) psi upper stock lower made 931/866 wheel on E85. That's why I asked that question.
@SixTwoHemi Bigger blowers = more parasitic drain. So less efficient power increases. Your 2.4 requires more RPM to make the same type of boost. But being smaller translates into what you see. this is on par with what Demon 170s are making. So it just shows you bigger isn't always better.

Hey I have a 2017 charger hellcat what kind of power can I get out of a compound boost set up with a stock unported 2.4l supercharger with the standard hellion 6262 turbos ?
Porting the blower going compound is useless basically. And 62s are on the small side. We normally start with 64s. But generally capable of up to around 1200whp is where we normally like to cut it off compound due to restriction and cooling limitations.

I’m installing a stage 1 comp cam in mine. You can keep factory springs too. It will gain power but nothing crazy.

It says SBE literally in the description. Stock Bottom End. So no forged internals to make that power but it's always a risk.

What whp could u reach with a 426 supercharged on pump 93
With a properly spec'd and built setup. You can achieve 950whp+. Requires a very very efficient setup. But easily doable.
What transmission are they using?
It had a built 727 three speed trans.

For a trx whipple or demon blower goal is 1000+ whp
On our dyno - a 2.7L Blower even ported won't achieve 1000whp... a super max effort whipple 3.0L will come close. But so far the only way we have seen 4 digits is with turbo(s) or blower + nitrous. The extra drivetrain loss on the TRX platform makes achieving those types of outputs take a little more effort

@HennyTRX3773 when it comes to a blower application- displacement does NOT necessarily mean more HP. It simply means you'll make the same HP at less boost. HP from a supercharger comes from the amount if air the supercharger can push into a cylinder. Making the cylinder bigger does NOT mean the blower moves any more air then before. It just means the boost reading will be lower due to a more efficient setup. To achieve more HP - you need a way to introduce more air at any given time.

@HennyTRX3773 every dyno is different naturally. So pending the shop you're utilizing. TRX's on our dyno average 550-600whp in stock form. So naturally to exceed 1000whp+ on this platform it requires extra efforts compared to let's say a hellcat or trackhawk platform. A ported 2.4L and Ported 2.7L on our dyno average 1000-1050whp on a standard hellcat... and 960-990whp on a trackhawk platform... so on a TRX it will average just above 900whp... so a whipple 3.0L is able to produce 100-150whp more. But because of the drivetrain loss you would just barely get to blip that 4 digit number. But it will be max effort. A wjipple 3.8L would be the one to easily see that 4 digit number for the platform without "maxxing" out the setup
I see 618 whp 543 wtq that looks close about right for a stock Hellcat motor an it look like the tires was spinning on that dyno. Maybe because that older suspension can't hold that power down like a Hellcat chassis an suspension can
I've seen that with other cars. A friend put 600 lbs in the trunk of his 72 Nova to keep it from burning tires on the dyno.
Only 586 HP? Seems a bit low for that motor unless completely stock

Is there manuals or videos that show everything needed on getting a 6.2 swapped into a 2020 Jeep srt? Would I be able to just drop in the motor and get a built hp70 and adapter plate and be good to go?
There is no guide or anything. But yes - a trackawk engine will directly bolt in. No adapter needed. Factory PCM can be used. Just need something to control bypass valve and proper tuning.

@@DaVonteLaw the bypass valve is the mechanical piece that the MMX controller controls.

@@GHOST-666-LA-CA yes they do - there are a total of 4 oil caps. So how ever many vented caps is up to you and your crank case setup

@GHOST-666-LA-CA they come anodized black, anodized clear, or raw ( uncoated) we have had several customers order them raw and have them powder coater locally to them.

What injectors do you recommend I run for a 19 charger hellcat and a 2.85 upper griptec pulley, JLT intake and JLT catch can?
We would run ID1050x's + our catch can.... JLT or LMI for intake.
