2:09 “as for us mortals” 😂 The moducase would be a dream for any collector! Protects everything from dust & looks great if you have the budget! I like the shelf you went with! The play sets look great on it! I’m thinking about putting my standing desk on wheels so I can switch up the background easily! Awesome video Joey!
Thanks SSW!!! That means a lot coming from you. Yea if I can get everything on wheels, that’s better for my studio. I am getting a second shelf on wheels. That’s the way to go, although I really want floating shelves for my MOCs. Thanks for watching my friend
Awesome Idea, Awesome video!! Well done Joey!
Thanks Mike! And thanks for tuning in!
good video, brother. happy easter to you and yours, my friend. take care and god bless.
Happy Easter Joe! Thanks for watching on this fine day
I have everything boxed up right now for an upcoming move but I can’t wait to buy on of these display cases once we get settled.
Hey CWO! That’s awesome that you are going to get one of Drew’s cases! He’s an awesome guy and I’m really happy I bought from him. Quality cases from a quality guy
I like that fold out white shelf👍 cool looking 👌I could use one of those too. Most stuff is in the closet 😂
Yea space is super limited!!!!
Excellent display cabinet awesome video has always keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one 🎉🎉🎉🛸🛸🛸🛸👽👽👽
Thanks Mark! Have a great weekend!
Got my case from Collectors Display after watching your episode last season. Well worth the money spent, and you would be hard-pressed to find a better case to display your vintage figures. Love the folding shelf idea. Thanks Joey!
Thanks Craig! I think I will invest in a moducase or that type of similar case in the future. My playsets need a space like that
Great Display !
Thanks Pascal! Thank you for watching!
Ansioso de verlo!! Saludos desde 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
gracias Carlos!
Thanks again for another great video! Unfortunately, those foldable white shelves are no longer available as they looked like a great option for what I was looking to do.
There are other options available that look similar. I will update the link with some shelves I just got that are similar in build and operation. Thanks for watching Daniel :)
Great video! Just what I needed, still finding out what will be the best way I can showcase my collection.
Hey Jokers! Yea I want to get into a better display and something more Star Wars custom in the future that I can DIY and show how to do it
@@thepadawancollectorofficial I’m definitely going to have a look, I have some great figures and MOC’s just laying underneath my bed.
Thanks for another great episode and doing a lot of my homework! I've been thinking of changing the look of my collection so the timing of this episode is perfect. Hope you're doing well and I hope to see you soon!
Thanks Dan! I always like to do these videos that aren’t necessarily focused on the toys but still about an important aspect on collecting
With display options being so vast & necessary, this was a great topic to dig into. While some of the more pricey options are certainly spectacular, I definitely think that you have to consider where you are at now & if it will be a long term location, or if it's just a step on the way to that location.
I've spent a great deal of time, effort, & money on my collection & how it's displayed has always been important, but I've not taken it to the next level yet. After having it up for the last 12 years, I'm starting to really get a handle on what makes me happiest (vintage SW) & how I'd like to display it in an ideal world.
What that means however is that unless I get a bigger space, I'll need to either reduce my collection or put a bunch of stuff in storage. And much like a "forever home", having my "forever display" means that anything in storage will likely stay there indefinitely. So big decisions lie ahead
In the interim, I've explored many more cost effective shelving & cabinet options, which is really the best thing to do as you grow your collection &/or make location changes. There are so many options out there, and while they might not be your ideal display, most of them will do the job perfectly and look good, and not mess up your budget too badly. The foldable white rack that you picked up as a perfect example of this Joey and looks like it fits your immediate needs perfectly. But there's not a whole lot of room left on there... 😅
The only thing I know for sure, having been a collector for so long, is that there is never enough space!!!!
Loved the episode my friend, looking forward to seeing all the iterations your collection display takes, before you find your next studio or your "forever display" location. GL & MTFBWY.
Yes space will always be the bigger issue and I’ve started thinking about the entire collection as a whole by the time my vintage run comes to an end. So I’ve started drawing out what it would look like with the entire collection displayed and what that room looks like. I’ve had to use Cad programs but it’s been fun
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Heck yeah! It will be fun when our dream displays are a reality.
I love your Star Wars case! But just asking do you ever come across an Good G I Joe cases like your Star Wars one. Thank you.
The same company that did my star wars case also does a Joe case. Collector Displays UK - tell them the Padawan sent you :). Thanks Troy
Great video, as usual.
I have a lot of Detof cases, which seems to be a common "go to" from Ikea, but Moducase might be in my future :)
I may get some detolfs as well at some point. I need to figure out the MOC situation
Got my "1st" case at Collector's Display after seeing your video last year and LOVE it!! Thinking about the IKEA route that you mentioned in your last set of videos, gotta figure out where I can squeeze in these things with existing space. Any thoughts from the community about maximizing space for carded figures?? I have shelves up now, place loose items on the shelves then hang carded figures in the back. Great video as always!! Hope you're feeling better also....
There is a wall panel that I’m looking into for MOC. It looks like glass but it’s thick acrylic and they are stackable bookshelves almost like what you see in crime rooms to store evidence. They are on rails on the top and bottom so they can move. I know I am butchering the description, but I hope I can build and show one day. It’s definitely custom, but I hope to show it so everyone can mimic
I've dealt with them they are awesome
They are pretty awesome
I'm glad you made this video.
I've been thinking about making my own display case.
What I was kinda hoping to use was a big floor model TV from the early 2000s. :)
It's less than a foot deep at top and deepens to a little less than 2 ft.
I already have it gutted and thought about putting a few drawers and storage space down where the speakers and motherboards once were.
Plan B. is using only the frame (the frame that kept the screen on) and building the whole thing to fit the the frame.
I want it as lightweight and low profile as I can get it, because I thought about hanging it up on the wall.
I had a question:
Do you know of any such companies or individuals that make backgrounds for display cases that look like the vintage race track logo?
Thanks for the video
That’s a great idea T. Send me pics of your frame when you get it. I know there are a couple of companies out there, let me DM you with some links. It’s been a while since I’ve used them
@@thepadawancollectorofficial
Thank you much.
IF I get done. Hopefully I can get what I need to build it. :)
Hello wondering how did you get the acrylic display for the vintage boxes
Hi Antonio! I use Ian’s Display Accessories online
@@thepadawancollectorofficial thxs
Have you sorted an idea for graded fig display yet?
I have some ideas that allow me to show it and also protect from the sun when I’m not displaying them for people or myself. How do you display those?
@@thepadawancollectorofficial im about 20 short of the full run so I’m saving that problem till then . I’m prob going to build my own, just trying to think how to make it dust proof. Don’t want to keep opening to clean all that acrylic
Hey pad! Can you give me some facebook groups where I can find leia blasters and stuff I’ve tried orange droid
Hey Hamm! Depending on where you live in the world these days I would do these groups: imperial commissary, echo base, and vintage alliance. All are private groups and have rules, so follow them please. When you get approved, make a post saying “ISO Leia Pews. (Insert what variant you’d like I.E. blue/black) WTB now. Thank you!” This let’s the group know you are looking for those items. Someone will either PM you or comment saying they have it or will ask more questions.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial ok thanks
Its an Excelent display case but ita bit pricey at around $700.
It is up in price but SO worth it!!!! I love that case
You can buy a fish tank for 30 dollars
Yea that might be cool for a couple playsets that are smaller. Or maybe mini rigs?
I've collected 1/6 Scale Figure for years and Moducase is been around for a while. I personally believe they are the most overpriced display in the market. There are so many better options out there for display.
Hey Peter! I would love to find something like the Moducase that is high quality and fair in price. I think they look great
