My life actually flashed before my eyes when you chose to kill the Budew and not the Chansey during the Gastly encounter. I failed to be properly prepared to knock out Chansey in one turn when hunting Buneary and stumbled into one of these and it immediately double cursed lmao congrats on the find and capture!
That's exactly why I chose to leave the Chansey. I wanted a guaranteed ball throw, and Chansey doesn't have any moves to harm Gastly. Best of luck on the reclaim!
Nice video, the chance of those shinies appearing back to back is astronomically low. I just started hunting in that place in Platinum too and not soon after encountered two normal beautiflies (while literally a couple of encounters before that I was thinking about the odds of that happening but with a Beautifly and Dustox), and if my math is mathing it's an even rarer occurance than encountering a shiny, best way to 'capture' that is just a screenshot tho, haha.
I got this one at 18k encounters and what's more crazy is that I'm not even planning to hunt a gastly and I just want a shiny buneary haha 😂 It's crazy that it took you a lot of encounters damnn
