Hi Emily, I purchased your Studio One Template last year in August (been using it since then successfully). I've noticed that the Studio One Template from this video seems to be updated and has much more in it than the one I purchased shortly before this video came out. Do I need to purchase the template again to get access to the newer Studio One Template or is there a free download link for those that had a previous version already purchased? Hi Emily, with you mainly using ProTools, would you say there is a difference between the sonics of Studio One and ProTools? I totally hear a difference where Studio One sounds a lil dull and lifeless. Thanks for the template!
I purchased this template months ago. I have not gone to school for engineering, and I could not get it to work for me......at first. A few weeks ago I finally got a descent grasp of tracking as far as pre-amp gain goes. Now when I use this template it's sounds professional even before I start mixing.

When I started learning a few years back I could spend 2 weeks on a one song and it never sounded good.
Hi Emily, this is a much needed template. I just got Studio One 6, so I need a template, the ones included are ok, but I need more to start concentrating on making music. My question is that below you mentioned that this template was done using version 5 of Studio One, can I use it in version 6, also are you planning to update the template according to the latest version? If you are, will I need to get to purchase a new template?

Hi Emily. I grabbed this, and its pretty good!. Question for you. I'm used to working with the Console One ecosystem. Would it make sense to try and swap out the fat channel strips (etc) with the equivelent softube ones and try and match as close as possible the compression setttings and EQ curves? The other thing is, our singer has a vocal range where she tends to sit right in the same frequency range as the guitar (a common issue I imagine), so I tend to use the side-chaining on pro-eq to just duck those frequencies on the guitar when she's singing, and it seems to work pretty great, is that something that can be adapted here? Or is there a better approach I'm missing?
Hey friend! Thanks for downloading the template. You can change out any plugins you like! The template is built on a routing system. The only settings that I consider "standard" for me are the parallels for Drum and Music Bus. And really, I'm just wanting to get between 3-4dBs of compression that result in +1dB of returned gain.
Of course! If you like using a sidechain EQ to unmask frequencies and that is working, I would continue to use that technique. Maybe try it on the vocal track itself first. Then route the output to the 3 vocal parallels.

Hi Emily Please could you give me alternative to the UAD Plugin used in the Template of yours I have just Purchased, Its the Neve Compressor 33609 for of one Personus Equivalent Please Hun
Hey friend, thanks for downloading the template! I would look to see what stereo compressor you have first. There is a "NEVE" style compressor similar to the 33609 that Studio One offers. And IK Multimedia has one called Precision Compressor. Hope that helps!
If possible, I'd love to see a studio One updated version with IK Multimedia plugins :)

How easy is it to use for a beginner? I am a beginner in music production.
Absolutely. This is why I have one of the templates using all Studio One stock plugins. And then when you're ready to branch out to some third party plugins, there is a second template included with the plugins I use everyday. This template is designed to work as a system, unlike a lot of people's templates that just have plugins filled on every channel. This one focuses on routing to parallel processing buses. All you have to do is set your audio tracks to output to these buses and groups. Plus, this template is also setup to have audio tracks so you can start recording immediately.
