  • In this video I take my high mileage N54 powered BMW 335i to the track to see what it runs in the 1/4 mile.. I also did a data log via MHD and looked at the results using virtual dyno.
    My car is setup full bolt on, the mods list includes:
    Intercooler
    Inlets
    Outlets
    Down pipes
    Dual Cone Intakes
    MHD Stage 2 + tune E50 Mix
    Walbro 450 LPH E85 Compatible Low Pressure Fuel Pump
    This video also has a quick clip of the 2018 Q50 Red Sport running JB4 at the track.
    We also quickly compared results using Draggy to the results at the track.
    Link to Draggy:
    www.burgertunin...
    I also talk about MHD V8 Beta Maps and how much of a difference there is compared to V7.

    Hybrid turbos will wake that thing up in the top end. I have a 2007 335i with the same exact mods as you plus pure stage 2dd turbos and the top end as well as the bottom end power is amazing. I run about 45%ethanol with 21psi of boost.

      Nice, do you have an auto transmission? Any idea how much torque your car is making now? I heard the upper limit of the AT is 550 WTQ.

    • @Silent9n54
      @Silent9n54 5 лет назад +2

      i dynoed mine at 441 whp and 535 wtq... it can handle 600wtq but you can also tune for that so that you lower the torque off the line where it does the most damage to the tranny... ps2dd can make 600wtq for sure

    • @Silent9n54
      @Silent9n54 5 лет назад +1

      also not sure if you have XHP but it helps with the shift speed and the torque limit

      Vehicular DIY
      I have a manual transmission. But the autos are usually good for about 600wtq and your not going to make that with out port injection. Usually with n54 cars with full bolt one on hybrid turbos on an E85 mix 500-500whp and Tq is pretty standard.

    Great Video. Thank you. This is why I just love BMW's. This car has lived a very full entire life as a daily for someone getting them to work each day and driving them on trips etc. Then they sold it to you. You have now (All on the same engine and most of it's original parts) a serious sport machine running drag times and ripping daily. (I'm not sure if you daily this car) but it's just amazing that a car can do all of this. Yes it takes maintenance and some up grades but compared to so many cars this car is in a class of it's own. Until every other manufacturer has been trying to emulate it. LOL. Compared cost of making this car make reliable 450hp and 450 torque is nothing compared to most other cars.

    1:10 Wow! That Cadillac can really move! Gotta love a wagon that can get out of it's own way like that! A 12 second car on totally stock internals plus stock turbos says that is ONE incredible car! Thre is nothing like it out there for the money you can get the N54 going like this!! Seriously I watched a Video that was talking about how much money it takes to build a 335i N54 into a hugely fast car. Well it's totally relative. What does he mean a "really fast car?" If he means a an 8 second drag car then yes it's gonna take some cash to buy all the beefed up parts you must have to be able to launch a car on a prepped surface and get it making that type of speed. But at that point it's no longer an N54 335i. It's a home bui;lt drag car that has parts from the biggest drag companies everywhere. But to make a 600- 700 hp and 600- 700 torque reliably running street machine that is classy and has great looks that you can even drive to work each day (yes you still need to do extra maintenance to have a car that will do that) but it's incredible! You can spend $15,000 on a Supercharger kit for a V8 of any kind and almost get there but the cost of everything it takes including the cost of the car is going to be HUGE!

    Just drove the car for the first time with the MMP S3’s tonight and what a difference! I’ll post a video soon but the car is getting a upgraded LPFP, plugs, Tmap, and custom tune. I now have outlets and inlets and FMIC. Can’t wait till I bring her to the track again to see what’s up!

    149,000 miles, everything you have except outlets. Wedge Performance custom E50 flash. 2.08 60 foot, 12.08 @ 119.7 mph. 120+ Trap speeds on some 12.2 passes. I now have xHP no rear cats, should easily do high 11's now possibly 11.8x's. (All season radials 255/40R18) Removing the rear cats really improved power above 5000 rpm. I have xHP programmed to shift at 5700 rpm, turbos are max'd, no point in even revving to 6000. Should trap 122-123 mph now. Probably the original turbos based on waste gate rattle , MHD waste gate rattle fix all the way to the left and they still rattle on decel and some at idle. I outrun Mustang GT's, Challenger RT's, etc... Even made a hellcat owner real mad, I don't know if he was in track mode, I assume he would have switched when he tried to make the second run at me (first run side by side). I kept him behind me and he had a run on me coming from behind. Mine is the ultimate sleeper because I still have the stock mufflers and I can close the flapper on the left muffler with a switch, sounds stock with it closed. I have it on a pressure switch, if I forget it opens automatically at 3.5-4 psi boost.
